Betrayed

Once we arrived back home I tried to help carry some bags but Zacky just shook his head and took them right from my hands. "Why don't you just go inside we can handle this shit." Truthfully, I didn’t want to face Matt what would he do. I stepped in to the house and looked around no sign of Matt no holes in the walls and no broken furniture. I walked up the stairs where I had to turn a light on due to the lack of daylight coming thru windows. "Matthew?" No answer There was a strange sound from down the hall further than my room. I walked over and looked in just to have my heart stop. In the room was a girl with dark curly hair and her eyes were hazel just like mine. Matthew was sitting on a messy bed naked he had blood on his hand and on his lips, he sat there giving the girl a nasty look. The girl laid there trying to breath she was naked covered in bruises and blood. I stepped over the girl to get to Matt I didn’t know what to do with him or how to act. Matt looked up at me with his handsome face, his glossy eyes looked weak or sad. "I couldn’t let her die, if the guys find out they'll think I'm weak." I nodded and looked at the girl "Matt end her suffering it’s the only thing you can do." When he shook his head, I knew what had to be done. This baby was going to need the protection of matt and his friends and this would probably be the only chance I get to win matt over. "I understand." I grabbed a pillow from the bed and turned to the girl I felt bad and sad. I couldn’t bend over so I stepped on the sides of the pillow. Poor girl was so weak that she didn’t even struggle, maybe that’s what would have happened to me if Steve never came for me. I turned back to Matthew he was staring at the girl mourning her, the man who cut my body just to hear me scream and beg. When I heard the guys running upstairs yelling for Matt I shut the room door. "Matthew you need to pull it together and get rid of the body come on Matt I'll hurt the baby if I do this myself." He got up, pulled the sheet off the bed, and went to roll the body in the sheet. He picked it up and walked out of the room. "I'll be in the basement if you need me just whisper." And he left to the basement with the body, what did he need to do down there? When I got to the room, I looked around and realized I never asked about the swords and knives. I sat on the bed and pulled my feet up they looked like pancakes I have been pregnant for longer than a year no, why? "Matt" I waited for two minutes before hearing his heavy steps coming up towards the room he was still naked. He turned the shower on and walked over by me. "What is it Aurora." "Matthew why am I still pregnant?" "Zacky can talk to you about that." He looked at the door and yelled for Zacky when Zacky came in matt whispered something and walked in to the restroom. Zacky sat on the bed and sighed, "You know I knew I would have to be the one to explain everything to you, being as were related and all." "So talk why have I been pregnant so long?" "Our kind ages slower than most don't ask me why because that’s a different conversation, that means our cells develop differently depending on the cell. The sperm is one of the slower, ones it develops very carefully our genes are selective. You never hear about our kind having children because of all the dangers involved for one groups of people that want to perform tests, then our kind can't get pregnant but we can impregnate certain girls, these girls we have a bond with its called a second heart beat. When the baby is growing the girl has to be human and strong because the baby has all of our strengths so it can defend itself, the baby can potentially kill you." I glared at matt when he walked out of the shower in a towel. "You knew I would die any ways didn’t you?" I was referring to the deal Matt had made me when he slept with me back in California. "Yeah well it didn’t matter then." Zacky continued to talk, "Rory Matt's older than dirt he knows of a way that guarantees your safety. What do you know about magic?" Did I hear correctly magic, he was psychotic "magic is stupid and fake why would you or right I'm just a vessel to you huh?" I wiggled and groaned trying to climb off the bed Matt walked over to me with a smirk his hands reached out to my forearms. Once he pulled me up he pressed his lips to mine his eyes closed something he did very rarely and every time he did, I felt like I was in a movie one of those with romance and happy endings. I couldn’t help myself I had to respond I loved the feel of him on me I know I lost my marbles, hot and cold. He pulled away and looked over at Zacky "leave us." I heard Zacky walk and the door closed Matt leaned over and scooped me up in to his arms. "I'm going to show you that magic is real you just have to trust me okay?" I nodded and he climbed in to the bed holding me to him I didn’t think he could show me magic but if it meant being in his arms then he could try to show me the air. "Close your eyes."
