I opened my eyes and seen Zacky sitting next to me in a chair with bandages all around him. I reached over and poked him with my hand and he woke up.

"Where's Corey?" I asked.

"Let me clean you up." He changed the subject on me so I rolled off the bed and over to the corner of the room.

"Where the fuck is Corey?" I asked again but Zacky hung his head. I bolted for the door and limped down the stairs where the others where standing with a bloody sheet. Matt came up to me and placed his hands on my shoulders.

"He's gone Aerial."

"No...no...no! He can't be gone Matt!" I said backing away from him.

"I'm sorry Aerial but Zacky did everything he possibly could for him. He was gone before he could get him back." I pushed passed Matt and changed into my wolf form and ran as best as I could off into the woods. My back was hurting really bad by the time I stopped next to a stream. I set my paw down into the water as the water raced around it. I heard movement but I never sat up to see who it was. I looked over to see Matt in his phased form sitting beside me.

I know it's hard Aerial. Matt said into my head. I looked over at him before slowly getting to my feet.

You have no idea what I'm going through. Just leave me alone Matt. I said and he ran in front of me growling at me.

Don't do that Matt. He came closer to me and I laid down with my head on my paws. I felt him lick my ear and I looked up at him.

I do know what you're feeling. I lost someone very close to me. Your emotions now are to kill and that's something you aren't ready to do all by yourself. Rage gets the best of us sometimes and it's something we can't control unless we want to control it. I don't know if you and Corey had a thing once but I can tell you he is in a better place. Matt said as he nudged my head up.

Now let's get back to the house. Zacky needs to look at your wounds and then we'll have a memorial service for your fallen friend. Matt said and I slowly got to my feet before limping slowly back to the house.

When I reached the house I sat down on the porch and let Zacky bandage me before getting back up and walking out in the middle of the yard and laying on my side in the sun. What the hell was I going to do now? Corey was my only friend...I know Zacky, Jimmy, Johnny, Brian, and possibly Matt are my friends but Corey knew everything about me.

Matt had called other wolves from the clan to show up at their house for the ceremony. There were a lot of wolves here. I mixed in with the crowd but snuck off and stood on the hill that over looked the house, the people, and Corey's body that had been lowered into the ground. I sat there and watched Matt say a few words. He looked up at me and I hung my head. I looked back up to see Jimmy and Zacky coming over to me. I laid down and rested my head on the ground. Jimmy sat down beside me and nudge me with his nose.

Matt wants you to come down. Jimmy said.

You can tell Matt that I just want to be alone for the day. I got to my feet and slowly walked away from Jimmy and Zacky.

I knew they were watching me as I entered the woods. I sat down next to another creek and lapped at the water as the day grew to dusk. I got to my feet and walked back to the house and seen all the people were in the house. I walked silently over to the fresh grave and sat there.

I knew you would be back. I turned around and seen Matt. I looked back down at Corey's grave and sat down.

I just needed to be alone for a while. Matt came over and licked the side of my face and I shook my head.

Come on inside. People want to meet you. I nodded and followed Matt up to the porch where he went back to human and so did I. He introduced me to a few people and I put on a fake smile just to get through the evening. Soon everyone began to leave one by one and I made my upstairs.

I grabbed me some clothes and headed into the bathroom and locked the door. I made sure the water was hot before getting in and washing myself. I got out of the shower and put on my PJ's and climbed into bed looking out in the night sky. I don't know if I'll be able to get any sleep at all tonight or not. I really needed to talk to my mother. I got up and dressed myself in different clothes and laid back down in bed in case someone came in to check on me. I heard footsteps come up the stairs and doors closing. I closed my eyes as I heard my door open and then close again. I opened them and seen all the lights go out. I got out of bed and climbed out my window and made my way down to the ground. I phased and ran off towards where I used to live to see my mother.
