I heard a loud banging in the middle of the night and opened my eyes. I could hear my father yelling and what sounded like pleading. I got out of bed and sat by the door just see what was going on.

"You've been holding what's ours and we want it now." a strange voice said.

"I ain't got the money Shadows...Just give me a little while longer." What the hell was he talking about?

"Then your life will pay what you owe us."

"No! Please! Take my daughter!" my father shouted. My eyes went wide.

"Daughter? Is she pure?"

"Yes very pure." my father said. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"Vengeance, Syn. Go get her." I heard the sound of footsteps coming towards my room and I got to my feet and jumped back in bed. I covered myself up and evened out my breathing to make them think I was asleep. I heard the door open and footsteps approaching my bed.

The covers were pulled down and someone grabbed my arm and stick something into my skin. My eyes became heavy and was seconds from passing out completely. I knew whoever was in my room had drugged me. I felt myself being lifted into the arms of a man and being carried down the stairs. I heard a gunshot as we exited the house and my world went black.

I woke up to a pitch black room. I sat up against the wall and brought my knees to my chest and just as I did I heard a clicking noise and a bright light. The shadow figure flipped a switch and came down carrying a plate. As the dark haired man approached me, I flinched back.

"Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you." he said in a soft voice. My father said that one time to me and I wasn't about to believe it from a man who drugged me and brought me someone I don't even know where I am. He sat the plate down in front of me.

"Eat...Then I'll take you to have a shower." I looked down at the food and back up to the man.

"It's not drugged. See." he said taking a bite. I grabbed the plate and ate the food as he stood there. When I finished I handed him the plate back and jerked my hand away.

"Come on." he extended his hand but I didn't take it.

"Like I said, I'm not going to hurt you." He bent down and grabbed my arm and pulled me up. I shook in his grasp as we went up the stairs and he led me to the bathroom. He had clothes for me laid out along with a towel.

"I'll be right outside the door. Then Shadows wants to see you." I nodded and walked into the bathroom shutting the door behind me. I turned on the water and stripped down and stepped into the shower. What were these men going to do with me? Who is this man he called Shadows and what does he want from me? I finished my shower and changed into the clothes given and opened the bathroom door. The man at the door had a pair of handcuffs with a chain attached to them.

"I have to put these on you." I backed up but he came towards me.

"We can do this easy or hard. Your choice." he said and I extended my arms quickly. He put the cuffs on my arms and led me to a door and opened it. A man sat behind a rather large desk and the man pulling me along sat me in a chair in front of the desk hooking me into the chair. I watched as he left and then hung my head.

"Aerial Chambers." the man said but I kept my head down.

"Look at me when I address you." he spat and I looked up at him with fear in my eyes.

"Better. The reason you are here is because you're father borrowed money from us and he just couldn't pay it back. He gave us you but we killed him anyways. So my name Shadows. I'm the leader here. The man who brought you in here was Rev. You'll learn the others names in time." he said as he opened a drawer to his desk. He pulled out a paper and slid it over to me with a pen.

"Sign it." I looked down at the paper and thought anything had to be better than living with my dad. I picked up the pen and signed the paper. He placed the paper back into the desk drawer and smiled at me. I looked down and sighed.

"Now I'm going to take you downstairs so you can fix us all something to eat. You can cook right?" he asked and I nodded.

"Don't you talk?" he asked and I motioned for a piece of paper and something to write with. He handed it to me and I began to write.

I used to talk but after the things that happened...I dont anymore.

"Why is that?" I didn't write anything but moved my hair our of my face and showed him the bruise that was on my cheek and eye.

"He beat you?" I nodded.

"What else did he do to you?" he asked.

'I was beaten and raped since I was 4 years old when my mom was murdered. My father killed her.' I wrote.

"How old are you now?"

he scratched his head and got up from his seat and bent down beside me.

"That paper you signed is to allow me to be your father. You're mine now and I will never let anyone in this house do that to you." he said smiling. He stroked my cheek and for some reason I felt safe with him. I still wasn't going to talk though. He stood to his feet and unlocked the chains from my hands.

"You aren't going to leave are you?" I shook my head no and he smiled. He ushered me to get up and we left the room together. He took me downstairs and into the kitchen where 4 others guys were sitting around.

"Guys this is Aerial. Please be nice to her. Now I need you guys to come with me while she prepares our dinner." They got up and left leaving me alone to fix whatever I could find. I guess I would make something simple. I grabbed some chicken from the fridge and noodles from the cabinet. I put the Chicken into the oven and the noddles on to boil. The noodles finished first and I waited for the chicken. When it was done I cut the chicken up and put them into the noodles and pours some sauce and cheese over it. I set it in the middle of the table and put plates out for everyone. I opened the fridge and seen beer. I grabbed 5 beers plus a soda for me. I leaned against the door frame and they seen me.

I watched as the others sat down and I sat in front of all of them.

"None of you will touch Aerial besides me. She's had a rough time as it is from what she has told me and I don't want this to be harder on her. So Gates keep it in your fucking pants. Rev buddy up to her. Get her to feel like she can actually talk to all of us without living in fear. For the rest of you, just help her out when I'm not here." I looked over towards the doorway where she stood looking down.

"Food done?" I asked and she nodded. I got up with the others following me into the kitchen Rev stopped at the doorway and bent down.

"You're my buddy." he said smiling. I watched as her head perked up and smiled the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. The Rev held out his arms and she walked into them hugging him tightly. She looked over at me and I smiled and nodded reassuringly. She let go Jimmy and I walked into the kitchen ushering her to sit down. I watched as she put a little bit of food down on her plate and began to eat while Jimmy and everyone else literally stuffed their faces.

"Oh my shit Aerial this is some fucking awesome food!" Jimmy said smiling with a mouthful. Aerial giggled. It was so adorable. We ate the rest of the food and I told her she could wash the dishes in the morning. I brought her into the living room and we sat down and watched a movie. She sat there glued to the TV as we watched The Hills Have Eyes. Sometimes she would jump and latch herself onto my arm. I put my arm protectively around her and rubbed her side. I guess I was doing that too much because she was fast asleep before I even knew it.
