What's This All About?
Rogue and I watched TV for almost 2 hours before Johnny came into the living room.
"Matt wants to see you in his office." I nodded and got up slowly from the couch. I walked up the stairs and knocked on Matt's office door.
"Come in." I opened the door and shut it behind me before taking a seat in front of his desk.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked resting my hands in my lap. The pain in my side was hurting a whole fucking lot now but I wasn't going to show it.
"I know you're still in mourning over Corey but you need to get back to focusing. You say you're back to 100% or whatever from your injury but Aerial you can't lie to me. I know you're hurting right now." I looked down at the floor. I didn't care if he mentioned the pain...just don't bring Corey into the mix.
"Corey lives on in you and you need to move on. It's almost been 2 months since he's been gone. It's time to move on with your life." The words he spoke cut to my soul and hurt me. I glared at him.
"I need to get over him? You don't fucking understand...Corey is my best friend and I'm not letting him go just yet. You might be able to get over a fucking death in 2 goddamn months but I fucking can't! Don't bring him up!" I stood to my feet knocking over the chair. He stood up and came to my side grabbing my arm. I glared at him with a look that could kill but he wouldn't back down.
I pulled my arm from his grip and changed into my wolf before running out of his office and down the stairs. I burst through the door and headed into the woods. I stopped at the waterfall and I climbed to the top and rested my head down on the rock. Why would Matt say something like that to me? Fuck this shit I don't need it! I'll stay right here until Matt apologizes for the hurt he just caused me. I looked up into the bright mid-day sky and whimpered. I wanted Corey back and maybe everything would just got back to normal. I looked out over the land and I noticed from here I could see the house. I seen all the guys plus Rogue change into their wolves and head out into the woods in search for me.
I got up and hid in a bush and still watched as everyone spread out in search for me. Rogue came my way and I laid my head down not making a sound. I watched her sniff the air but she couldn't find my scent. I really know how to cover my trail. She looked all around but she never locked eyes with me but she turned and walked back towards the house. I watched as everyone else walked home and Matt stood off into the distance glancing back and forth in the woods. He stayed on the porch just laying there. I could see the look of regret on his face and I knew I needed to get back home.
He probably wanted to apologize but I made a pact and he has to come to me. I wasn't coming to him. I got to my feet and walked down the other side of the waterfall just to see what I could find. I came to a little stream and I sat down and began lapping the water. I heard a low growling noise and I sprang to my feet just in time to see a bear. I growled right back at the bear and it ran after me as I climbed the rocky hill. I got to the side of the waterfall and looked down. I looked back at the bear and I was trapped. I seen Matt still laying on the porch and I determined to get his attention. The bear stood up on his back legs and roared really loud. I tried going around it but it swung its huge clawed paws at me. I was fucking trapped and Matt hadn't heard the roar from the bear or he just ignored it.
I needed to get out of this situation or I was going to die. I bit down on the beast's feet and it hit me with its huge paw knocking me off the side. I landed on my leg and my head hit the side of the cliff before I made a splash into the cold water. I felt my body drift with the water before I finally passed out.
