Only God Knows Why

Kaylie’s P.O.V.

I awoke laying next to Jimmy with his arm around me. We were still on the couch which was a good indication that we hadn’t moved much during the night. I am used to finding myself on the floor when we fall asleep on the couch. He is still sleeping so I decide not to disturb him too much when I get up because an early awoken Jimmy means he will be complaining for the rest of the day. I move his arm gently off my waist and slowly roll onto the floor.

I get off the floor and walk into our kitchen. I feel the cool tile on my bare feet and I walk around the island to get to the cupboard where we keep the cereal. I open the cupboard to see that I have two choices, Cheerios or Frosted Flakes. I picked up the Cheerios box to find it was almost empty. I let out a long sigh and got the Frosted Flakes.

I poured the cereal and milk into my bowl and looked at the clock. It was 7:00 in the morning. I don’t expect Jimmy to get up for another hour or two so I decide to get into the shower and get ready for the day.

I stripped out of my clothing and got into the shower. After I washed my hair and shaved the necessary places I got out of the shower and put my hair up in a towel. I walked over to the mirror and looked in my makeup bag. I only needed light makeup because of my clear complexion. I put some powder on my face and a little bit of strawberry flavored lip balm on my lips. I decided to put on black eyeliner only on my waterline to make my blue eyes pop a little more. I was debating if I needed mascara but I decided it wouldn’t hurt so I put a bit of that on too.

I walked out of the bathroom and into my bedroom to get dressed. I put on my CKY jump shirt and black skinny jeans. I decided to not wear my converse today so I went with my Gray DC shoes. I then sat down at my desk to straighten my hair.

Jimmy’s P.O.V.
I woke up on the couch. I was groggy and I didn’t want to move. After I laid there for a few minutes, I needed to piss. I still didn’t want to move but I went to the bathroom anyways. I walked by Kaylie’s room and she was doing her hair. I stopped and said, “Good morning.” She returned my gesture with a simple, “Mornin’”. After I finished going to the bathroom, I heard the phone ringing in the kitchen. I looked at the caller ID and it was Brian.

“Hey, man. It’s really fucking hot today. Can I come over and use your pool?” Brian said before I had a chance to speak.

“First of all, HELLO!” I shouted for no reason, trying to get a reaction, more or less. “Secondly, yes, you can come over and use the pool. Invite the other guys over if you want.”

“Okay. Will do, see you in about 15 minutes.” He said and then I heard a click. I stayed in the kitchen so I might be able to eat something before everyone comes over.

Kaylie’s P.O.V.

I finished straightening my hair finally and touched up my eyeliner. I walked down to the kitchen and Jimmy was sitting at the island eating a bowl of Frosted Flakes and a piece of toast. I sat down next to him and asked him, “What’s the plan for today?”

He kept looking at his cereal and said, “The guys are coming over to use the pool and we’re probably just gonna hang out here all day.”

“Well, atleast we’re gonna be doing something. It’s boring when we sit in the house and don’t do anything.”

“Yeah, I know but you could do something, you’re just so lazy you don’t wanna move.”

“Not like you aren’t guilty of not moving every now and then.” I laughed and so did he. “Well, I’m gonna go change if we’re gonna be using the pool. I’ll either be pushed into it or go in by myself and I don’t want to change when the time comes.”

“Sounds like a plan.” He said and I went upstairs to get my bikini.

I changed out of my skinny jeans and put on short shorts. It would make more sense to get out of shorts than to take off skinny jeans and make a fool of myself in front of everyone. I blushed to myself as I thought about Brian’s laugh. It was so beautiful. Everything about him was beautiful. I especially loved his face when I stripped out of my clothes to reveal my toned body and pink and black bikini. I caught everyone’s attention when I took off my clothes except for my brothers because well, he’s my brother. I love Brian’s face when he see’s me taking off my clothes because he looks turned on by it...and more importantly, by me.

After I got dressed the guys had arrived. I heard them get out of Brian’s car which meant Brian had picked everyone up. I didn’t hear them come into the house which meant they had gone straight to the pool. I wanted to join them so I went outside.

I felt the grass touch my ankles and it tickled a little bit. I didn’t want to get into the pool yet so I laid on the concrete beside the pool while the guys were jumping and splashing each other. I was looking at Brian who got water in his eyes and screamed like a little girl. It was funny. He never liked getting anything in his eyes.

After about 10 minutes of laying in the sun I got overheated. I decided I should get into the pool. I stripped out of my clothes and once Johnny saw me he whistled which got everyone else shouting and whistling. I decided I would put on a little show. I winked at Brian and he smirked back. Suddenly it felt like I was in my own little world and he and I were the only ones in it. I started using my hands so they could travel down my body. I turned around and slapped my butt.

“Kaylie, would you be able to stop stripping and just get into the Goddamn pool?” Jimmy said to me laughing his head off.

“Hey! She’s a big girl, let her do what she wants.” Said Brian who then winked at me. Little did he know he was turning me on.

“Guys, shut up!” I shouted at them. It was embarrassing enough for me to blush but they knew I didn’t really care.

The guys went back to doing their thing so I got up and went into the pool. The warm water felt great on my skin. I chilled on the latter while the guys fooled around.

*About an hour later*
Jimmy’s P.O.V.

“Well, I’m starving.” I stated.

“Yeah, me too. We should go eat.” Johnny said.

“I’ll go make BLT’s.” I was making my way to get out of the pool but Kaylie got out first.

“I’ll make them. Don’t worry.” She said.

“You sure, do you want some help?”

“One of you guys can come help me if you want.” She asked all of us.

“I’ll do it!” Johnny shouted.

“Don’t make me have to go in there and reset your neck, short shit.” I said to him half seriously, half laughing.

“Don’t worry, I can take care of myself. If he tries anything I’ll hurt him.” Kaylie said, winking at me.

“I taught you so well.” I laughed as I dragged my left hand over my eyes trying to look like I was fake crying.

Kaylie’s P.O.V.

I went in the house with Johnny following me. He was being slightly less perverted today so I decided to let him help me make the sandwiches. I reached for the bread while Johnny was frying the bacon in a frying pan. I got the lettuce and tomatoes out and sliced them perfectly. The guys came in and sat down at the table. I fixed everyone their sandwiches and sat down next to Matt. He was talking to Zacky about something I didn’t really care that much to listen in. All the other guys were talking amongst themselves and I was sitting quietly at the end of the island.

After a few minutes of eating the phone started ringing. Jimmy answered it and said it was for me. I excused myself from the table and took the call outside. When I realized who it was I smiled. It was my boyfriend of two years, Jason Parker. He was a blonde boy with blue eyes. His eyes weren't as blue as mine and Jimmy’s but they were still adorable.

“Hey.” I said and waited for him to say something.

“Hi.” His voice sounded strong but it was shaky. Almost as if he was distressed.

“What’s wrong, Jase?” I asked a little worried.

There was a short pause and then he said, “I don’t want to hurt you but I need to get this off my chest.”

“What is it, baby?” I asked more worried than before.

“Remember that girl who went to school with us, Isabell?” There was a long pause. “Well, I’ve been cheating on you with her.” He said then he cleared his throat.

“W-What? How long has it been?” I asked feeling the tears form in my eyes.

“It’s been for about 3 months. I don’t want to be labeled as a cheater so I decided to break up with you before I come out in the open with Izzy.” He said nonchalantly.

“How can you say that with so little emotion?!” I said practically screaming.

“I don’t know. I guess I’m just tired of you.”

I was full on bawling now. “Y-You’re tired of me? How could you do this?”

“I’m not going to talk about this anymore. I’m done with you. Now do me a favor and forget there ever was a thing between me and you.”

Click. Like a bullet to my heart. Jase was gone and I’m never going to see him again. I felt the tears flooding down my face. I gathered myself as best I could and I ran past the guys who continued to talk and eat. I couldn’t deal with all of this right now.

Zacky’s P.O.V.

I was eating and talking to Matt about random things until I saw Kaylie getting clearly upset on the phone. She ran past all of us and we all knew something was wrong but no one wanted to interfere.

“You think someone should go check on her?” Jimmy said clearly concerned about his sister.

“Yeah. Which one of us should go though?” Brian asked.

“I’ll go.” I stated, getting up and leaving the room to find Kaylie.

Notes

Some drama in this chapter. We won't hear from Jason or Izzy at all for the rest of the story but I promise it ties into the plot.
