Broken Pieces

Brian's P.O.V.
Michelle's words still rang in my head there was no doubt that I loved her and wanted to spend another 5 years with her and my daughter but things were too stressful at the moment and too complicated but spending another 5 years with her I think I owe her answer before it's too late and she's standing at the altar alone and heartbroken.

Michelle, Val, Matt, and Brian had been back home for two weeks and the fallout from Mexico still left Michelle and Val in a complicated place they both were confused rather than happy but helping Michelle with her wedding dress shopping was relieving some of the emotional pain Val had been coping with Val had returned into her and Matt's bedroom looking around thier room all the memories they have shared their wedding photo still hung in the hallway she and Matt looked very happy and so content with each other and she was just to emotional to go back to the painful place that Matt has put her in she just wanted her husband back.

"Have you decided on a venue ?" Val asked

"Not yet but do you have any ideas ?" Michelle asked Val searched for wedding venues and found the perfect venue for Michelle and Brian to renew their vows

"How about in Napa Valley ?" Val asked

"Where Lacey and Johnny got married ?" Michelle asked

"Yes and I'm meeting with a professional wedding planner to plan the reception and a stylist to fix that mop you have on your head." Val laughed

"Really funny sis I don't have time for your jokes and sarcasm." Michelle replied

"It was just a joke Michelle what has got you so worked up?" Val asked

"I just want answer from Brian already" Michelle said

"He hasn't given you answer yet?" Val asked

"No he just sat there with a blank expression on his face" Michelle replied

"He needs to give you answer right now before we proceed" Val said

Michelle sat down in a chair confused and hurt by Brian's expression she was just an emotional wreck about everything that has happened back in Mexico but she wanted to put that behind her and focus on fixing her marriage either way Brian owed her an answer and a wedding vow renewal ceremony other she would be left at the altar confused and heartbroken.

With only 3 hours before the wedding ceremony guest started to arrive and take their seats everything was covered in white lights and crystal candle lights Michelle dialed Brian's number and waited for him to pick up but his phone went straight to voicemail Michelle stood in the hotel room sitting at the vanity staring into the mirror looking back on all the love she and Brian shared Michelle heard a knock at the door and saw Brian standing at the door with a sad expression she waited for an answer from him.

"Brian what are you doing here and why aren't you dressed ?" Michelle whispered

"I came to decline your offer and say I don't love you anymore" Brian said harshly

"So you want a divorce ?" Michelle cried

"Yes I do and I want your stuff packed up and moved out in a week" Brian replied

"Who will have custody of Claire ?" Michelle asked

"I will have her for a week then you can spend a week with her and your parents" Brian said

"We will have a custody arrangement in place after we meet with our lawyer on Monday" Michelle said

"Is that what this has come to Michelle ?" Brian asked

"Yes it has and there's no going back from it." Michelle replied

"Well I'm going home and don't forget to buy boxes and start packing" Brian said

Val knocked at the door to see Michelle with makeup all over here wedding dress she ran to her sister and saw her crying her eyes out either way she needed answer from her before she walked back outside to take her seat beside Lacey she and Matt talked for a while before everyone were instructed to stand and greet the bride but Michelle was alone with makeup on her dress and her hair messy and dry.

"Okay thank you everyone for coming and celebrating Brian and I's wedding vow renewal but nobody is getting married today I'm sorry" Michelle cried.

Everyone had no expressions on thier faces they all thought the worst Val hated seeing Michelle crying and in pain but she knew that her sister will find love again with someone better than Brian someone who will treat her with dignity and respect and not like she doesn't matter how wrose can this night get for Michelle?
