"Now that everything's out and over, pleas can we go on a proper date?" Brian begged fiddling with my hands on the sofa.

"Depends what your idea of a date is? I'm not a girl for overpriced small portions of french food"

"I'll surprise you, go get ready"

...

"Oh my god," I moaned. "This is good" Brian took me to an icecream bar on the beach front. What made the whole thing better was how it was 8pm, and everywhere was quiet.

"This your idea of a date?" We sat on the sand and let the cool breeze whirl past, it was pretty much perfect.

"Course," I smiled leaning into him. "It's beautiful here" I admired the late night sunset, the colours were stunning.

"Yeah, I remember coming here after band practice when we were your age"

"Fuck sake Brian, don't talk to me like your my dad" I laughed pushing him over on the sand.

"Sorry!" He chuckled. "Fuck you"

"What?"

"You got sand in my cone!" His voice went really high as he tried to blow the sand away.

"Have mine if your that bothered" I tutted handing him my icecream.

"No, I don't want it now" He chucked it in the nearby trash can and folded his arms, pouting at me like a child.

"Brian just take the god damn cone" I sighed.

"Hey grumpy git, just kidding around with ya" He put his arm around me and pulled me down. I rested on his lap and stared up at the beautiful sky, meanwhile Brian watched the ocean with a big smile on his face.

"What you thinking about?" I sniggered pinching his cheek.

"Just the future" he said coughing, or blushing.

"Oh yeah, what's that? Am I in it?"

"Of course you are" he bent down and lightly kissed me. "Just the deep stuff - wouldn't want to scare you off"

"You couldn't scare me off, cmon tell me" I pushed.

"Nah,"

"Brian, tell me" I shouted with a smile, eager to know what he was thinking.

"Just, the way you tell me off all the time it ma-"

"Tell you off? Whaaat?"

"Let me finish," he smiled. "It makes me think of what you'd be like with a kid, y'know? A little mardy, but with a loving side"

"I've never thought about it that way," I sighed. "I'm 20 next week. When my mom was 20, I was 4 years old. It's weird y'know?"

"She's done a great job, I'm sure you will too" He stroked my hair back, and I looked at him oddly.

"What are you getting at here Brian? "

"Nothing nothing! Chill out Ren, I'm not asking you to carry a child for me" he laughed. "Yet anyway"

"Shut up," I sniggered pulling him down by his tshirt, and kissing him hard.

Now everything was out, I was finally the happiest I could ever be. This man was changing me, and I loved him for it.
