A few weeks later..

"Okay mom I'm going for a coffee with Brian, you want anything while I'm out?"

"Brian? What are you doing with him? I don't want you around that man" Mom sighed staring at me, ready to go. "I know you used to be close when we were dating, but you gotta let him go too"

"It's a coffee, chill"

"Fine, just, don't do anything stupid"

I don't know what she meant by that, neither did I when she said 'I don't want you around that man'. This coffee was our first date if you would, and a chance to talk about what we was gonna do.

"Here you go," Brian carefully handed me a hot capuchino and placed his on the table in front of him. "Where'd you tell your mom you were?"

"Here..?"

"With me"

"Well, yeah" I shrugged flicking the sugar packet in the air.

"Oh.. brave" He raised his eyebrows and sipped his drink. "So what's up?"

"I just wanna know what's going on. You've left mom, I've left Mississippi" I smiled. "Now what"

"I'm with you now," he smirked holding my hands but not looking up at me. That was something I adored about him. He blushed when he stared into my eyes, and he was really shy with me at times. "And that's all that matters to me, I'll do anything you want me to do"

"I think we should hint at mom, I don't want to fully tell her" I sighed. "But not yet"

"Yeah.." Brian tutted. He saw the sadness in my face and squeezed my hands. "We'll do it Ren, I promise. It'll take time but we'll make it"

"I trust you"

"You wanna stay with me tonight?" He asked.

"At Matt's? Uh, if it's okay I don't want to be in the way of things" I shrugged.

"He's welcomed you I've already said"

"Well, sure then" I smirked. I may not look the happiest, but I was really exited about spending a proper night with him.

"You look beautiful today"
