Renees POV

"Don't go in there!" I whispered to myself watching House of a Thousand Corpses. All the lights were switched off and I was home alone. It was about half 8 at night, so it was pitch black in the living room. "Don't go in there" I repeated. The film went silent, anf the tension rised. "Fuck!!" I screamed, spilling my wine. My phone buzzed making me jump, so I paused the dvd and answered it.

"What?" I panted catching my breath.

"He's gone" Mom sobbed. "He's really gone" I assumed she'd been watching soap operas again, she always over exadurated at them.

"Who's gone?" I chuckled picking at my popcorn.

"Brian"

"Woah what?" I put the bowl down and sat upright. "He's left you?"

"Baby come home" her sobs were heartbreaking. Brian was serious about me now, and he'd hurt my mom. But it was my fault too.

"Mom, " I sighed. 'I don't, I don't know"

"Please"

I sighed again.

"Fine, I'll get the next flight. Just, keep it together okay? You'll be fine. I love you"

"I love you too," she sniffed. "Thank you"
