Brians POV

"You sure I can stay here for a while?"

"Course man, I wasn't expecting you to break off with her" Matt flipped a beer top open with his teeth and handed me it.

"A little early for beer right?" I laughed.

"Half 11" He shrugged. I shrugged along with him and took two long, big gulps. Matt pulled a chair out in front of me and straddled it, eager to know what happened. "So you've broke up?"

"Not really. I mean, I kinda said it but Jen wouldn't understand" I sighed.

"Why what did you say?"

"Well, we argued and I'd had enough, I just got my coat and said I was done" I took a another two gulps and wiped my mouth with my leather jacket sleeve. "I'm gonna go get my stuff later"

"There's someone else isn't there?" Matt glared at me and saw straight through.

"What you talking about" I grunted.

"You were gonna propose to her a few months ago, you was happy until Renee left and it jus-" Matt stopped, looked up and me and sniggered. "No..."

"What?"

"It can't be," he joked. "No it's not " Matt told himself.

"Not what?"

"Nothin, I don't wanna put ideas in that head of yours"

"Renee?" I asked nervously.

"Is it?" He pushed.

"Man I don't know what your talking about"

"Kay," he nodded. Matt knew it was her. I wasn't hiding it well. "So, where'd ya go this week?"

"I, uh, went to visit dad"

"Oh," he said sarcastically. "Non refundable ticket huh?"

"What you mean?"

"Well, I guessed with your dad being here you didn't realise and couldn't come home" We both knew I was lying, Matt was dying to catch me out.

"Here?"

"Yeah he came down" Matt nodded.

"You know what Matt, fuck you" I stood up and headed for the front door.

"It is her isn't it"

"What does it matter if it is? No big deal" I yelled back to him.

"I didn't realise you were that desperate to be honest, Syn" Matt sniggered watching me charge back through to the kitchen.

"Me? Desperate? Please tell me how you relationship with Lola Dixon is going? You hired her full time yet pal?" Yeah, she was a hooker which Matt had took more of a shine to them normal.

"Twice, on tour, get over it" He shouted. "At least she didn't have to be in for 9pm"

"I ain't gotta give her up after 15 minutes"

"15?"

"We all know you don't last as long as 50 bud" I ignorantly laughed. "Why don't you quit worrying about my fucked up relationship and get your own"

"Yeah I will. Oh, maybe I'll go for my brothers chick, ooh no, his step daughters pretty hot" He shouted sarcastically. "Seens as your staying here, why don't you invite her school friends round? Maybe we can help them with there homework"

"I'm not staying here," I said shaking my head.

"Yeah you are. You think I'm gonna let my best friend, my brother sleep out? I've told you theres a bedroom upstairs you can have" Matt still yelled at me. I just sighed, and broke down sitting on the chair I was on before. "Dude woah, I'm sorry"

"It's not you"

"Yeah but, I was dicky I'm sorry" He put his arm on my shoulder and rubbed
it hard.

"Me too" I laughed. " But really, Dixon, you still on her?"

"No no no" He smirked. "I swear"

"Good," I smiled.

"You serious about her?" Matt asked.

"Yeah, dude"

"Sorry man," He sighed. "She's a great gal' really"
