Hannah
I feel like I’m dreaming, yeah, that’s what this has to be, I’m in a dream, I took all of my meds and I’ve fallen asleep after I got out of the tub, or maybe I’m still in the water; not that it matters if I drown, I’ll just bring myself back from the dead.

Erin came to see me today, I wanted to talk to her, apologize and tell her that everything is going to be okay, but I couldn’t stop drawing, and the only thing I could draw was the Deathbat over and over again, and my thoughts were flooded with every memory of Jimmy I had.

“Hannah,” Sebastian said softly, standing in front of me and leaning down to press his forehead against mine as I looked up into his eyes “I want you to go and spend some time with your friends,”

“Really?” I smiled weakly “But I’m so sleepy, I can’t drive over there,”

“That’s alright baby,” He smiled “I’m going to do it for you,” I was confused “We’re going to have some fun with everyone tonight,”

Slowly, something resembling mist, only black, came pouring out of his mouth and nose and invaded mine, my head falling back and my eyes rolling back in my head as his demon breath book over my entire body, locking me away inside my own head.

I - Sebastian – picked up my phone and sent a text to Erin saying to meet me at her place in ten minutes, before texting Zack, Jimmy and Tori to meet me there

I was screaming inside my head for him to stop and to let me go, but he just laughed, fixed my hair in the mirror, grabbed the keys for my impala and left the house.

“Stop it,” He grumbled in my voice “If you get through and show yourself even just a little bit, they’ll know, and my plan will be ruined, but you’ll be the one to suffer for it,”

Jimmy
My hangover was horrendous, the worst one I’ve had since Zack’s sixteenth birthday when we convinced Brian Senior to buy us as much alcohol as he could carry – Syn had to do chores for a month to convince his dad – and we all sat at the spot in the park and got completely wasted. Johnny threw up everywhere, Zack passed out up the biggest tree in the park, Brian went missing for three hours and came back with a pet squirrel and Matt was trying to convince every female who passed to come and join us, but when morning came, all of us were dead to the world.

I’d come home from school today and told my mom everything, about how crazy I was about Hannah, to the fact that she didn’t think she was good enough for me and broke my heart by not wanting to be with me, so I decided to drink again, and she told me to take as long as I needed to recover from all of the alcohol and get myself back together again, but she believed that something was going to make Hannah come around and realise we were perfect for each other and left me to lay in bed and watch TV for the rest of the day.

Okay, so maybe I bent the truth a little bit, but I could just skip school and be all like; “Oh, I decided to drink my sorrows away because my witch girlfriend would rather save my life and run off with some demon king of the underworld than be with me”. That just didn’t seem like a good idea to me.

I was in bed watching Supernatural, telling myself that maybe the damn program could help me understand some of the things that have been going on in my life, and hey, maybe I’d figure out how to kill Sebastian. My phone buzzed on my bedside table, showing Hannah’s name and that she has text me.

Meet me at Erin’s place, I have to talk to you all – H x

She wanted to see me? Well, what for? Fuck, it didn’t matter, Hannah wanted to see me and talk to me about something, maybe she would give me a chance to plead my case and prove to her that I could protect her, or that I would die trying.

“Where are you going?” My mom asked as I walked through the living room, shrugging myself into my leather jacket and grabbing my keys.

“I have to go over to Erin’s house, her and Zack need my help with something and Hannah is going to be there,” I told her quickly, but she stopped me as my hand reached for the door.

“Are you sure you’re okay to drive?” She asked.

“I’ve been drinking nothing but water and coffee for the past three hours, I’m fine,” I smiled softly at her for reassurance.

“Alright, but if you feel like you’re not able to drive all the way, don’t keep going, you pull over and call Zack to come and get you,
okay?”

“Okay,”

She pushed herself onto her tiptoes and kissed my cheek before letting me go.

I got to Erin’s house and saw that Zack’s and Tori’s cars were already parked outside on the street, I looked around for Hannah’s and noticed it in the driveway.

I climbed out of the truck and walked towards the front door of Erin’s house, but as I reached for the doorbell, the front door opened and Zack grabbed me by the shirt, pulling me inside and into the living room where Erin was sitting with Hannah, they were talking calmly between themselves and when they noticed me in the room, they looked up at me and smiled, Hannah’s smile looked genuine, too. Like she was actually happy to see me.

“Hi, Jimmy.” She whispered, standing to hug me. I accepted her hug, wrapping my arms around her waist and holding her as tightly against me as I could, but she squirmed awkwardly and I let her go.

“I missed you,” I told her.

“I missed you, too.” She smiled.

“Really?” I asked sceptically “You didn’t seem to think you would miss me a few days ago at that party,”

“Alright,” Erin interrupted, jumping out of her seat and pulling Hannah back down onto the sofa.

I couldn’t stop looking at her, she looked different; the way she sat and played with her hair, it was no longer shy and awkward how she used to, she was pushing her hair out of her face and sitting confidently. There was something about her eyes, too, they looked different… darker. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.

“What did you need to talk to all of us about, Hannah?” Erin asked, taking her cousin’s hand in hers and rubbing it softly “It can’t be weirder or scarier than the things we’ve already heard today,”

“I know everything about Sebastian and Christopher,” She said, full of confidence “I know what they want with Erin and me, I know that if I don’t marry Sebastian then Christopher is going to end Erin’s life in the most horrible of ways and that the rest of your lives will be in danger, so… I’m going to do it,”

“NO!” I yelled, throwing myself in front of her and dropping my head onto her knees “You can’t do this to me,” I mumbled before looking up at her with pleading eyes, but hers were dead “You can’t marry him, you’re… we’re… You should be with me,”

“I can’t,” She whispered “I can’t be with you, Jimmy.”

“You can, and you will, because you’re going to have to realise sooner rather than later that Sebastian only wants you for his own selfish reasons, he doesn’t care about you, you just remind him of you r mother, and you were the outcome of her betraying him, so he’s going to take you instead and ruin everything your father ever had, because he killed your mother and soon enough he will kill you!”

Before I could react, I was on the floor, on my back with Hannah pinning me to the round by my throat, and damn, the girl had some grip.

“Hannah, what the fuck are you doing?!” Erin screamed “Get off of him!” She tried to pull Hannah off of me, with the help of Tori and Zack, but she wouldn’t budge “How are you doing that?!”

“Hannah,” Tori said calmly.

“What?” She snapped, turning her head to look at her.

“Christus,”

Hannah grabbed her head and screamed a deep, dark roar almost, and fell off of me, finally allowing me to breathe and sit back up.

“Jimmy, pin her down!” Erin demanded, I did as Hannah had done to me; straddled her waist but held her down by her shoulders
“Keep her there,”

Tori started babbling away in Latin or something, and the more she spoke, the fussier and louder Hannah got, moving around under me and trying to get away, and then she looked Tori dead in the eyes and spoke.

“I will rip your fucking soul out!” There was more than one voice and Hannah’s eyes were black holes burning into Tori’s and although she suddenly looked panicked, she kept going and grabbed a necklace with the cross on it moved to the top of Hannah’s head and wrapped it around her neck and held it there tightly.

“HELP ME!” Hannah screamed, suddenly in her own voice “LET ME OUT!”

“You’re hurting her!” I cried to Tori “Stop!”

“It’s almost done,” Erin reassured me while Tori continued, and with one final sentence, something left Hannah in a breath and vanished as she lost consciousness and went limp on the floor.

“She should be waking up soon,” I heard Tori say from nearby “It worked, and that’s all that matters, she can tell us what happened and what she knows at her own pace, it’s just important that we don’t rush her, she could go into shock and harm herself,”

“I can’t believe I didn’t see it,” Erin sighed “She’s my own cousin, I know her better than I know myself, and now that I think about it, she wasn’t acting normal, sure, she was in some kind of state earlier, but tonight she was just overly confident, and I didn’t see that,”

“It was her eyes,” Jimmy chimed in “Her eyes looked darker than usual, that’s what I noticed the most,”

“I can’t believe you basically just exercised Hannah,” Typical Zack.
I slowly opened my eyes and stretched myself out a little. Everyone gasped my name and rushed over to me, sitting on the floor in front of me. I realised then that I was laying on one of the couches in Erin’s living room and it was dark outside now, who knows how long I was out.

“Hannah,” Erin cried “You’re okay,”

“I think so,” I chuckled, moving myself onto the floor and into her embrace, hugging her tightly “I’m so scared,” I whispered.

“Why are you scared?” She asked.

“How do I know he won’t do that to me again?” I asked “He possessed me, and if he got in there once, he can get in again,”

“Can you tell us how he did it?” Tori asked softly.

“His breath,” I nodded “He breathed out this black misty stuff and it went up my nose and into my mouth, and then I was stuck in my head and he had full control of me, he was going to hurt all of you, he as oing to make me hurt you, not kill you, just scare you a little bit, I think he was hoping that you would all stay away from me,”

“Not going to happen,” I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Jimmy smiling at me, I crawled off of Erin and into his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck and burying my face in it “Hey baby,”

“Jimmy,” I sniffed “I’m so sorry for everything,”

“It’s alright,” He said soothingly “I know why you did it, but you’re my girl, okay? And I’m not going anywhere, you can’t get rid of me anymore, I’m going to do everything I can to keep you safe, or I’ll give my life to make sure you live,”

“How do we know it’s really you?” Erin asked. I looked at her like she had grown another head “Really, how do we know Sebastian hasn’t just gotten really good at this over the years and is playing Hannah perfectly, what if all of that before was all a part of it?”

“Sebastian couldn’t use Hannah’s powers,” Tori chimed in, her tone suggestive “Hannah, to prove that it’s really you, you have to do something using one of your powers,” I stood up off of Jimmy and looked down at Erin.

“What do you want me to do?” I asked.

“Well,” She grunted, pushing herself off of the ground “You are the human voodoo doll, aren’t you?” I nodded and looked around for something.

I picked up a letter opener off of the end table and held it over my hand.

“Who wants to be my volunteer?” I asked. Everyone just looked at each other “It will only be for a minute and then I can take it all away again,”

“I’ll do it,” Jimmy said, bracing himself “Go for it,”

I nodded at him once, held my hand in front of me, palm to the sky and held the letter opener above it, took a deep breath and closed my eyes before plunging the weapon into my hand and Jimmy roared in pain.
I opened my eyes and he was holding his hand as blood poured from the wound, and I looked down at my hand and saw that it had gone all the way through and was stuck in my hand.

“Ouch,” Jimmy laughed as I slowly pulled it from my palm, not that he could feel it “I didn’t realise that it would hurt so much,” we all laughed as I placed my hand over his wound and look it all away, and everything was alright again.

“Jimmy?” I asked.

“Yeah?”

“When you told me that I was your girl, was that you asking me to be your girlfriend, officially?”

“Yeah,” He smiled.

“Good,” I giggled, leaning forward and pressing my lips to his.

Jimmy, Zack and Tori all left after another hour or so and left Erin and I in the house. The guys hadn’t wanted to after Tori informed us that Sebastian could get to me now whenever and from wherever, now that he’d possessed me once, and I was most vulnerable to him while I slept. We finally connived them to leave when we told them we needed to talk about private girl stuff and about them, too.

Erin raided the house for alcohol and made margaritas and we got to drinking them in her bedroom, laughing and talking about all things boys.

“Remember when we were kids, and our parents took us to the Grand Canyon for vacation, you threw up all over the back seat of your car so you had to ride with us until the smell was gone, and my mom was watching you like you were a time bomb about to go off in the back seat?” She asked and we both started laughing hysterically and continued for an hour reminiscing about when we were little girls, and all of the stories we had been told about our mothers.

“I miss being a little girl,” I admitted “Growing up was something I didn’t sign up for, and it isn’t all it cracked up to be,”

“Our moms made it look like so much fun, being young women with families, being able to use their powers to make their lives a little easier, but not being careless, they always looked beautiful, always wearing skirts and dressed, with their hair and makeup done, but they were always so gentle with us, they taught us what was right and what was wrong,”

“I remember when I was really young, mom and dad would put me to bed, kiss me and tell me goodnight, but a few minutes later she would always come back into my room and sing me another song until she knew that I was asleep, and for years, listening to her voice was the only way I could fall asleep,”

“I miss them,” She whispered.

“Me too,” I admitted “But now, we only have each other,”

“We’re all going to do everything we can do get rid of those bastards once and for all, we’ll get our revenge for out mother’s deaths, don’t doubt that for a second,”

“Look at me!” I laughed sarcastically “I’ve been raised for the most of my life by my father and my uncle, I’m exactly one month away from my eighteenth birthday and I’m practically engaged to a man who isn’t my boyfriend, much less human,”

“We’ll get you out of this,” She promised, taking my hand in hers “He isn’t going to hurt you,”

“You can’t stop him,” I sighed, a tear falling from my eye and onto the bed “If you get in his way, you’ll die, Erin, I can feel it, I’ve seen it too, but something horrible is going to happen to you,”

I apologize for the sucking of this chapter, but I had my prom last night and then an idea for this came to be and I wrote it briefly, but forgot the details when I woke up in the morning, so I'm sorry guys! But enjoy it if you can!
