Rotting Revolution

Never Talk To Strangers

Outside of a large beaten up RV in the middle of a dead field two tattoo covered men sat. "Christ, if you don't stop with that fucking camera, I'm going to embed it into your skull!" A tall shirtless man said through his teeth to the smaller man who had been taking pictures of the muscular man who was wrapping his hand up with a medical bandage.

"I'm sorry, but that cut is gnarly!" The shorter man known as Christ said before snapping yet another picture with his sticker, marker and dirt covered polarloid camera. The taller man stopped what he was doing and quickly picked up the machete that laid on the ground next to him, threatening Christ with it. Christ only backed away, his hands in the air. "Relax, woosah, Chief."

The shirtless man dropped down the machete looking at the blade he was once sharping, seeing his blood on the metal, from when he had just accidently cut himself. "Shit," he muttered quietly as he continued to wrap his hand. The shirtless man was wearing a faded pair of military camouflage pants along with combat boots, that were laced tight, which was his usual attire and as for the shirt, that was always optional.

Suddenly a woman appeared from the side door of the RV, walking over to the man, as she threw her long curly auburn hair up in a ponytail. "Shadows, what did you do to yourself?" She asked, quickly grabbing his hand.

Shadows yanked his injured hand away from her. "Nothin' Res, don't worry about it." He said more harshly then he intended.

Resyn knelt down taking ahold of his hand, and Shadows attempted to pull away. "Try and pull back again, and I'll break all your goddamn fingers." She snapped and he sighed, letting her unwrap his hand. "This needs to be stitched up," she observed as she stood up. "Hang on, let me go get that tackle box we found the other day." She then turned around to walk back into the RV.

"No, just stop." Shadows barked after her, causing Resyn to stop and look at him with her hands on her hips.

Resyn was use to his stubbornness. She had known him since her time in the Military. Though, she didn't exactly know him then, she just knew of him. Resyn didn't meet him until after she was discharged and all hell broke loose in America.

"Isn't this going against one of your rules?" She smirked at him, and he rolled his eyes in response.

Ah, the rules. Follow them, you'll live, don't, you won't.

"Shut up," he smirked back at her, standing up. "Just be glad I'm wrapping it up. Now come on, time to get back on the road." He called to her as he walked inside.

Resyn let out a breath, looking at the machete, gauze and blade sharpener. "Oh, don't worry, just let me clean your shit up!"

Buddy sat patiently waiting for his food, as his owner dug through the back of her dirty truck looking for the dog food. She found it moments later, sighing as she realized there was only a small amount left. After getting out of the truck, she dumped the contains into one of the metal food bowls on the ground, tossing the empty bag to the side and then grabbed a jug of water pouring it into the other bowl. Sitting down in the dirt next to her dog, whom was chomping away at his food, she lit a cigarette taking in the scenery. Which pretty much was the roadside of the middle of nowhere. She knew she was in Kansas, but where in Kansas she wasn't quite sure. The last few weeks, she hadn't been keeping track of what cities she entered just the states.

"Well," she let out a breath of smoke. "Looks like we need to find a store around here." She muttered to herself, listening to Buddy crunching on his food.

She hoped she could find a store around here, though the chances seemed very slim. She needed more food, she needed more cigarettes, but she really just wanted a shower. She was actually dying to have one. She missed the feel of the warm water running down her body, the smell of the steam and how it mixed with the scent of her soaps and such. Sometimes she has even dreamt of taking a steaming hot shower and to her that made her feel so pathetic. But that was her life now, she was dirty, pathetic and alone.

After putting a good thirty miles on the road, she had wandered into a town. She was unsure of the name, but kept on through, looking very closely to each building she past for a store. As she was driving, she started noticing things, like people. There were a very scarce amount of dirty weapon wielding individuals, but nonetheless, still people. She really hadn't seen life in weeks, well human life.

Going against the never talk to strangers rule, she rolled down her window, figuring she'd try asking someone for a point in the right direction. What did she have to lose? Oh yeah, her life. The thought made her stifle a chuckle. She also shut the truck off not wanting to waste anymore gas. "Aye!" She called out the window to a thick scruffy man, who had his lips wrapped around a clean glass bottle that contained a brown liquid, while he sat on a porch.

Dropping the bottle from his lips, and a rather disgusted look on his face, he gripped the rusty looking twelve gauge at his side. "Can I help you?" He mumbled, obviously drunk.

Noticing the state he was in and his actions, she fastened her hand around a knife that was

constantly at her right side. "Where's a store around here?"

The scruffy looking man stood, slowly. "Well, missy, that information's gon' cost ya a truck." He smirked approaching her, the young woman tried to swallow as her mouth became dry.

Sensing his owner's nerves, a low and quiet growl grew in Buddy's throat as he stood on the center console, staring hard a the man. "Bud!" She hissed through her teeth, calling Buddy down, while keeping her eyes on the man now standing inches from her. "Not gonna happen." She spoke sternly, her knuckles turning white as she squeezed the handle on the knife.

Raising the gun, and gently grazing the tip of the barrel against her cheek, causing her to freeze looking forward, he smirked. "Then how about you, beautiful?" Options of how to get free from the situation flew through her head. Could she start up the truck fast enough? Fuck, no, and even if she could he'd probably shoot out a tire. Could she set Buddy on him and grab the gun? Nope, she ain't losing her baby boy over nothing. She'd end up gutting the damn nasty bastard, though. Out of options, she just clenched her jaw, shaking her head. "That wasn't much of a question anyway." He said and snatched her by her hair yanking her out of the window.

Buddy started barking profusely, as his owner thrashed around in her attackers grip. "Let me the fuck go!" She shouted, her body almost completely hanging out the window, only being held up by the thick man.

"Sure thang, sweetie," he said dropping his hold on her.

He chuckled as he watched her fall to the concrete, cracking her head on the ground. A split second later Buddy leapt from the truck window at the man latching on to his large arm, causing the scruffy male to howl out in pain. The man quickly kicked the golden tan dog and struck him with the butt of the gun, making Buddy yelp and cower partially underneath the truck. Hearing her pets cry, snapped her out of her daze, and she reached for her knife, stabbing it into the man's left foot. The last thing she remembered was him shouting profanities, before taking a hard kick to the face, knocking her unconscious.

Aeon ran her hands through her jet-black hair, her left thumb running along the shaven patch on the left side of her head, feeling sweat. "Open more windows! We're in a goddamn oven!" Aeon shouted from her spot of the floor in the kitchen area in the RV.

"They're all open!" The Rev shouted over the music that blared through the speakers, from where he sat in the drivers seat.

"Relax, Aeon," she heard Vengeance laugh as he walked from the back and sat on the couch. Aeon shot him a glance and rolled her eyes. "It is hotter than the devils armpit, though." He said causing her to chuckle.

Aeon swore the only thing that could make her regret coming back to America was being stuck in the heat. Yes, there was heat in Japan too, but it's different here, you'd be lucky if you can still find power. They did have an air-conditioner in the motor home, but it decided it didn't want to work anymore. So, that left them all in the devils armpit.

She caught eyes with Vengeance and quickly looked down at her nails, picking at them. Aeon had been with the group almost since the beginning, and she still wasn't fully comfortable with them, well, mainly the men, but those were her own issues. These guys were trustworthy, and she knew that deep down, but she just couldn't help herself.

"Come sit here!" Resyn called to Aeon, getting up from her spot in the passengers seat.

Aeon smiled, taking Resyn's seat. "Thanks Mother." She said, practically sticking her head out the window like a dog, and closing her eyes, relaxing.

Resyn chuckled standing between drivers and passengers seat, her hands setting on the top of the head rests. "Make sure to keep your mouth close, or you might catch something you don't want." The Rev said, looking over at Aeon, who gave a chuckle enjoying the air. Suddenly a figure ran in front of the RV causing him to slam on the brakes.

"What the hell?"

The young womans eyes fluttered open as she woke in a daze. Her whole body stung and she had a headache like no other. She peered around at her surroundings, still laying on the ground not wanting to move, seeing trees and bushes. She then looked down at herself, wishing she hadn't, noticing that her white tank top was pushed up, exposing her breasts, and her pants were around her ankles. She slowly sat up, tugging her shirt down. Her jaw clenched and tears pooled in her eyes as she stood pulling her jeans completely on. Blinking away the tears, and walking through the pain, she realized she was still at the same place, just behind the building.

She was entirely aware of what happen been done to her, but she pushed it away, she had more important things to worry about. She couldn't be weak and cry about it, she had to be strong, she had to press on. She couldn't get help and nobody was going to hold her hand through her pain.

As she slowly made it to the front she found her truck to be gone. Her fists closed so tightly her knuckles turned a shade of ivory at her side. Looking down as she tried to keep herself absolutely calm, she noticed her blood stain knife. She cautiously bent down, picking it up, and sliding it into her the holding on her side. The woman let out a breath, and gazed to the right, seeing a small puddle of blood in the road. It suddenly hit her. Where was Buddy?

Looking around frantically, her heart beating rapidly. "Buddy!" She called out a numerous amount of times. But nothing. She didn't see that bulky dog come running towards her.

And that was the straw that broke the camels back, causing her to drop to her knees in a pile of herself as she sobbed uncontrollably.

He was gone. Her bestfriend, the only thing she had and loved, was gone.
