World In Flames

Chapter Two

He was everywhere.

He was all I could see, all I could smell, all I could think about.

He was everywhere.

His mouth on my mouth, his skin on my skin. Sweat, spit, and cum.

He was everywhere.

He was everything.

But most of all he was mine.

Forever.

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to cut you off. You're way past the legal limit, and I could lose my licence if I give you anymore. Do you need me to call you a cab?"

Patrick tried his best to insult the man who was denying him what he wanted, but the words just tumbled out of his mouth in a long, dramatic slur of incoherent gibberish. He grabbed a bottle of Jagermeister that was sitting on the bar in front of another customer, and stumbled out of the bar as fast as his legs would allow him.

This trip was turning out to be a disaster.

His was sick of his wife bitchin' at him all the time. This is why he brought her to Las Vegas, but so far everything that could have gone wrong, has. Patrick has tried desperately to cut back on this 'drinking problem' his wife keeps complaining about. But the more his wife bitches, the more he drinks, and the more he drinks, the more she bitches. It's never ending. So to get away, he left her screaming in the hotel suite, and went for a few drinks. But it's never just a few is it?

No.

No matter how much he denies it, he has a problem, and his wife's bitching it probably more than justified. But that doesn't matter to him. She doesn't really even matter to him anymore. After 29 years of marriage, he wants so much to just call it quits, and move somewhere sunny with some blonde bimbo who just wants him for his money.

'What money?' He thinks to himself with a light scoff, 'I'm broke.'

Patrick stumbles along the strip ignoring all the stares and glances he's getting from everyone. He doesn't give a damn right now, he's drunk.

He turns onto a seemingly deserted street, in hopes of finding his hotel. The street is lit up, just as the rest of the city, and there are several Casino's and Hotels lining the street. There are only a few people littering this part of the city, and he assumes it's because these are some of the lower end places.

He saunters down the sidewalk, taking a huge swig of Jager as he falls against a white building, and slides down it until he's sitting. Closing his eyes, he leans his head back against the building taking a deep breath followed by another gulp of alcohol.

Suddenly a large man wearing a black tux comes running out of the white building looking frantic. He starts walking toward Patrick, and instinctively, Patrick starts scooting away from him.

"Get away!" He screams at the man, just as he reaches him.

"Hey, calm down, I'm Matt," the man says reaching his hand out for Patrick to shake, which he doesn't accept.

"Ookaaay," he drops his hand, and runs his fingers through his hair, exhaling sharply. "Sir, could I get you to do me a favor?"

"No. Get the fuck away from me," he slurs.

"Look, I just need someone to witness my wedding. Otherwise, trust me I wouldn't want anything to do with your ass."

Patrick just huffs and looks away, trying his hardest to ignore the man.

"I'll uh, give you 800 dollars. You look like you could use it."

"Whatever. You don't even have that much," Patrick scoff's.

The man doesn't answer, he just reaches into his pocket and pulls out his wallet, and shakes it at him.

"I do, I'll even give you 200 dollars more, just come in here for a few minutes and witness my wedding."

It was quiet for a few moments while Patrick contemplated. He really could use the money, besides, he gambled and drank all of his away.

Nothing could be heard but sirens off in the distance. He took a look around, and noted that no one, besides 'Matt' and himself, were on the street. It then hit him that he must have found himself in the 'shady' part of the city.

"Well?"

"Fine, but I don't want to be here all night."

"Excellent," Matt said with a smile, reaching his hand out to help Patrick up.

This time he accepted, and they both headed into what he now realized was a chapel.
