Right Where I Belong

Jimmy’s POV

We arrived at my house and I noticed Zack’s car in the driveway, hadn’t he said something about meeting Kim today, why was he still here?
Damn it, hopefully he would get the hint about leaving soon, when I tell him to fuck off!
We walked towards my entrance and I opened the door the first thing I heard was Zacky playing guitar. He must be in the living room…
“What? Who is that?” Elise asked surprised as the music reached her ears.
“That must be Zack, he is living with me… but that will be over soon, since you sold him a house, right?!” Her cheeks were getting red.
“No.. that was not me… that way Tyler… I was just… there.” Elise said timidly.
“Come on, I will tell Zack to go and find somewhere else to stay.” I walked forward into the living room and Zack sat as I thought on the couch softly strumming his guitar.
Elise stood next to me and when I turned to her she looked amazed at Zack.
“That was you?? Now, I know where I have seen you before…” Elise said and Zack looked up from his guitar.
“Oh hey Elise..Jimmy” He sat the guitar aside and stood up, walked to Elise and hugged her.
“What was me? ” Zack sounded irritated but amused.
Yeah who was he? Where have she seen him before? What was she talking about…
I looked at Elise again and she watched back and forth between Zack and the guitar.
“What is it Elise?”
“James!! Why didn’t you tell me that you are friends with Avenged Sevenfold? I was at their show…” Elise said and still looked at Zack who looked even more amused now.
Wait a second, why I was FRIENDS with Avenged Sevenfold?
I was IN Avenged Sevenfold!
Why would she think otherwise… she was at the show when we played next to her college, I saw her there… she must have seen me too, right?!
“Yes, JAMES… Why didn’t you tell her that you are FRIENDS with A7X?” Zacky laughed loudly.
“I.. what?” I looked at Elise and she looked confused between me and Zack.
“Elise, beauty… so you were at that show, do you know who played the drums?” I asked her.
“I.. no. I saw Zacky playing guitar… and when we met at the house showing. I thought the entire time that I have seen him before but I didn’t know where… But now with the guitar in hand.. I remember.” Eilse said and smiled at Zack. I didn’t like that and I also didn’t like that Zack was still having this shit eating grin on his face.
“Hmm… at the show was also the guy with the dimples and aviator glasses.” Elise began again.
“Matt.” I commented the dimple- guy could only be him.
“Then there was the shorter one…” Elise continues.
“Johnny.” I interrupted.
“Okay and the handsome one with the cocky smile and the spiky hair.”
“Brian.”
“But I was so far in the back that I couldn’t see the one on the drums… so…” Elise looked at me expectantly.
Zack was trying to stifle a laugh but wasn’t succeeding, he burst out laughing.
“SHE DOESN’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE… This is fucking hilarious… she knows all of us but not you…HAHAHA! I have to call Brian...” Zacky laughed so hard now that he held his belly with both hands.
“I hate you. Don’t you have somewhere to go? Some date or other shit?” I said to him and shoved him out of the front door, I gave him only time to grab his keys and jacket.
“I was about to go anyway… but now I need to call the others first.. I need to…HAHAHA!” I closed the door in his face and turned the doorbell off.
I breathed deeply in and out. Elise and I had to talk!

Zack’s POV

I walked towards my car and still had to chuckle about Jimmy and Elise. God, she was so clueless about what she gotten herself into with Jimmy… but Jimmy also seemed so different with her. It was kind of refreshing to look at these two.
I looked at my phone I was a little too early to pick Kim up for our date, but Jimmy had just thrown me out…
I would just drive there and see if she was ready or wait outside.
I drove over to the address she gave me and looked at my watch again, damn… 20 minutes to early.
I got out of my car and walked around it when I saw the door of her house opening, maybe she already thought I would be early and wanted to wait for me outside, prefect.
But not Kim stepped outside it was another guy, she hugged him and he kissed her cheek.
Wait, what is this about? She met with another guy right before our date?
What should I do now? Should I walk over there and interrupted this? Or should I wait and confront her when the guy is gone?
I thought I was pretty clear the last time we met after the party that we were dating, like dating and being a couple… maybe I wasn’t as clear as I thought?!
Ahhh.. fuck it… I never back down, why would I start now?!

I walked quickly over there and Kim noticed my approach.
“Zack, hey… you are early!” She smiled at me and I walked up the stairs to her and hugged her to me and kissed her lips quickly.
Kim seemed surprised at my greeting but responded after a short hesitation.
“Kim?” the guy next to us said and Kim pulled away from my kiss.
“Sorry…” Kim cheeks began to become a light red and I smiled, how adorable.
“Don’t you want to introduce us?” the guy asked.
“Oh yes, sorry… Chris this is Zack. Zack this is my brother Chris.”
“Your brother Chris.. Hey man, nice to meet you.”
OH, I nearly fell for the same trick as Jimmy, thank god I hadn’t said anything. Lucky me!
“Yes, thanks you too. Okay Kim, I gotta go now… We see us Sunday, right?”
“Yeah, have a nice day.”
“You, too.” Chris walked down the stairs.
Damn, good that I waited for the introduction before I started some shit. Beating up her brother on the third date wouldn’t have been the best idea…
“Are you ready to go?”
“Yes, let me grab my bag then we can go.” she smiled and walked inside grabbed a jacket and her bag and I led her to my car.
“So which movie we will be watching this evening?” Kim asked my while I started the engine.
“I let you choose, if you share the nachos with me…” I smiled at her from the side.
“That sounds like a deal.” She grinned back and laid her hand on mine.
I just hoped she would still be so happy when I asked her to stay with her the night, because I don’t think that Jimmy would let me into his house again today.

Jimmy’s POV

“Jimmy, what was this about?” Elise looked at me confused.
“Babe, I was at that show, too. I saw you there…” I started but she interrupted me.
“Really? I hoped I would meet you again there, but there were so many people around I haven’t seen you in the crowd and afterwards I got caught from..”
“Elise, wait… Yes, I was there… but I was not in the crowd.” Maybe she was getting it now.
“I.. don’t.. ohh you mean you are working for them? I didn’t know them before this evening, that’s why I haven’t recognized Zacky right away when I saw him again.”
I sighed loudly, “Elise, come on I want to show you something.”

I grabbed her hand and went with her into my “music” room.
I had photos from me and my best friends on the wall, awards on the shelf and in one corner was my piano where I normally started writing music and in the other corner stood one of my drum kits.
Elise looked with her eyes wide open into the room and then looked at me and I nodded at her, “Go ahead.”
She walked forward and looked at the pictures and awards.
“That is you… you… Jimmy…”

“Yes, that is me. Jimmy The Rev Sullivan, Drummer of Avenged Sevenfold.”
“I.. you… why didn’t you tell me before… I made a fool of myself… Oh good.. Jimmy!” She buried her face in her hands and her cheeks were red from embarrassment.
“Elise, it’s okay.”
“No, it’s not I not only made a fool of myself. I embarrassed you, too. That was why Zack was laughing, right? I am sorry!”
“Stop it, beauty. You didn’t embarrass me, believe me that needs more than that.” I told her and hugged her towards me.
“What do you mean?” she asked into my chest.
“That means you can’t embarrass me. Elise if been with these guys half my life and after that nothing can embarrass you anymore, believe me. But you will see that yourself soon enough…You shouldn’t take them and their talk too serious.”
“Alright…” she still mumbled into my chest.
“Come on, we gonna eat now.” I tucked Elise away and pulled her into my side.
I still had a plan to fulfill but I haven’t figured out how.
Before I picked Elise up from work I bought her a new smart phone. I knew she said she didn’t want me buying her that but she didn’t know that I would destroy her old one… accidentally and then I had a right to replace it. I’m a genius I know… I just have to get my hands on her and somehow break it.

As if on cue her phone rang and she pulled it out of her bag.
“Hello?”
“I… wait a second.”
“Jimmy? Will you bring me back home or…” Elise asked softly.
“Oh you can stay here, I can bring you to work tomorrow, if you like… but only if you like.” I replied with a smile. I didn’t want her to think I would be saying this because I wanted to take advantage or anything.
“I will stay. Yes, wait a sec.” Elise held the phone towards me.
“Tyler for you.”
“Alright.” I took the phone from her, god that phone was like 10 years old and really sucked and this was my chance to get rid of it.
“Hey.. what’s up.”
“Jimmy, not much just wanted to make sure you take care of Elise… and… remember our talk.” Tyler sounded uneasy.
“I remember and everything will be alright, don’t worry. I’ll bring her to work tomorrow. We will be on time.”
I walked towards the kitchen, I had an idea… the sink was still full of water, phone and water…
“Good. Then have a nice evening…” Tyler said. “You, too.”
I hung up and accidentally dropped the phone into the sink, “Fuck… Elise I am so sorry.”
“What? Oh no my phone…” Elise quickly ran towards me and fished her phone from the sink.
But it was soaked with water and that thing wouldn’t work anymore… I grinned.
“You think that’s funny?” Elise turned towards me with a frown.
“No… not at all. I am sorry it was my fault. I dropped it…”
She sighed, “It’s okay. It was anyway only yours and Tyler’s number on it so…”
“I’m really sorry, Elise.” She didn’t know that I would present her tomorrow her new phone, with my number already on speed dial on it.
“What you think about watching a movie before heading to bed?” I asked her with a apologizing smile.
“Sounds good.” I kissed her again and flipped on the TV, but I knew another frustrating night was awaiting me but for Elise I would wait gladly.
