Right Where I Belong

Elise’s POV

My name is Elise Warren. My parents died when I was 12 years old since then I am living and studying at the ‘Wallington’ school for girls.
It’s a pure girl’s college. I haven’t known anything other since I was child so for me it’s normal to have the same girl’s around me each and every day and to have the same daily plan.

When I think back it wasn’t always like this, back when I was with my family, me and my older brother Tyler had a teacher for us at home. Our parents were really strict and paid good money for our education. But it’s been now more than 10 years since they died and my brother had been too young to take custody for me so I was sent on the last will of my parents to Wallington to get a good education.
I didn’t have much of a choice, but I also haven’t questioned it.

My brother already had a job so his future was set.
I couldn’t say that I wasn’t happy at my college, I just didn’t know how to live another life. I wasn’t missing anything here and only a couple of more weeks and I would be done anyway.
If I was ready for the ‘real’ life? Sure, why wouldn’t I be?!
I already had a job since I didn’t concentrate on anything else then school, I was the one with the best grades in class and that way it was easy to find a job.
I actually got 3 jobs to choose from, I haven’t decided yet.

I was sharing my room with one of my class members her name was Samantha. I didn’t see her often, she was one of the girls that took studying not so important.
She always left during the night, maybe she thought that I wouldn’t recognize it but I was a light sleeper so I would wake up when she leaves or comes home.
What she did during her absence I didn’t know. I couldn’t think of anything that would be more important than to get the homework done and the night sleep you needed to be ready for the next classes?!
I might say that there are a few popular groups here at the college. Girl’s that mostly were sent here because their parents thought they befriended with the wrong people.
These girl’s aren’t taken all the rules here seriously and Samantha was one of the follower of these girls.
Some even headed out during a free hour at our college to the neighbor college, which was only for boys. And as you might know it was strictly forbidden for us to be found on that territory.

Jimmy’s POV

“We are playing a show… where again?” I looked over at Matt. Maybe I didn’t hear him correctly.
“At a college…” Matt replied with annoyance.
“Damn, so I really didn’t hear you wrong… And can I ask again why are we playing a show at a college?!” I asked him while letting myself plop onto the couch at Matt’s home studio.
“James, because I said so, okay?! We were part of this charity auction and the school won. So we will play there… end of the story.” Matt looked at Brian who just entered the room.
“Where are we playing?” Brian asked and let himself drop next to me on the couch and then took the beer out of my hand and sipped on it…
“IIIhhhuuaa… that’s warm…” Brian made a disgusted face.
“Yeah, well I am a hot guy, what can I do?!” I smiled at him and took my bottle back from his hand and took another sip, warm or cold… made no difference to me.
“Before I tell this another 4 times, are the other here, too?” Matt asked and looked at Brian questioningly.
“Yeah, Johnny just arrived and Zack was with him, they must be here any second.”
“Good, then we wait for them.” Matt turned back on his stool towards the schedule he was planning on.
A college really?! God, I was even banned from high school and now we would play at a college…
Zacky and Johnny walked into Matt’s studio and both grabbed a beer from the fridge and tossed another one to Brian then Zacky grabbed a stool and sat down and Johnny leaned against the door frame.
“So what is this meeting about?” Zacky asked and opened his beer.
“I just wanted to tell you that we will be playing a small set on a college, and yes I know a college… yadadada… heard everything from Jimmy before… But we offered our help at this charity auction they won, we will play. That’s it… The show will be in 5 Days…” Matt said finally.
“What you mean small set? We chose now which songs, or what?” Johnny asked and also sipped on his beer.
“Yeah, I thought about 7 songs including encore. I talked to the organizer and we agreed on playing about 45 min. So we should chose the songs now… But another information you should have… this is a pure boys college… so keep the “ballads” out.”
“Are you kidding me? A pure boy’s college, does that even still exist?” Brian sighed.
“Apparently it does… so your suggestions?” Matt asked again and he seemed eager to get this discussion done.
“Okay, 7 Songs, you said… Then I suggest: Almost Easy, Critical Acclaim, Unholy, Second Heartbeat…
What do you say, Zack?”
“Beast and the harlot, Bat Country… maybe Walk?”
“Jimmy? What do you say?” Matt looked at me and I hadn’t really been listening.
“Yeah, sure… sounds good.” I nodded at Matt.
“Okay and you Johnny also agree?”
“Yeah, good mix.. we done now? I gotta go pick up Lace from work. You coming along, Zee? ”
“Yeah, let me just finish my beer.” He put the bottle to his mouth and drowned the rest of his beer in one big gulp.
“Okay, yeah that’s it. I will talk to the tech guys and get everything settled. We see us tomorrow...” Matt said and also stood up while Johnny and Zack walked outside.
“You got something important to do?” Brian asked him while putting his legs on the table in front of us.
“Me?” Matt asked surprised.
“Yeah you… since me and Jimmy are the only ones sitting here looking relaxed…” Brian teased him.
“Why?” Matt asked as if caught on something.
“You seem in a hurry, do you have a date or something?” Brian asked again.
Brian could be a persistent fucker if he wanted to know something or you would be his victim of choice.
“No, not really… just wanted to head over to the gas-station… Why you still got something you wanna talk about?”, Matt asked and paced the room what made him even more suspicious.
“Well, no but… I thought we could hang out a little more? You got no beer or why you wanna head to gas-station?” Brian again, good god he wasn’t even talking to me but getting on my nervous with this questioning.
“Come on, let’s hang out at my place if Matt’s got something to do…” I replied and got off the couch and also drowned the rest of my beer.
“Okay, let’s go… Can’t believe it, something more important than hang out with his best friends…” Brian murmured.
“Ah, shut up, Gates” Matt replied and brought us to the door, “We’ll see us tomorrow anyway so quit the sulking…”
“Yeah yeah, see ya tomorrow.” Brian said and we waved goodbye.
I knew Matt, there could be only a girl behind this whole weird behavior but I kept my mouth shut, not my business. I had other things on my mind right now…
