For being November it was still warm out enough that everyone was spending the day at Diana’s pool. Valarie and Michelle reclined on lawn chairs in their bikinis to get the last rays of sun possible before the winter stopped them. Diana and Jimmy sat with their feet in the pool as the rest of the guys jumped around and attempted to drown each other in the pool.
“Why don’t you join them Jimmy?”

“I’m a bit tired.”

“Have you been feeling okay lately?”

“I’ve had better. What about you? No problems with sleeping?”

“Not really. The doctor even reduced my dosage he said I was doing much better.”

“You look better too.” Jimmy poked at her stomach. “Looking a little pudgy there sis.”

“You stop that. Zacky’s simply domesticated me that’s all and the fact I’m healthier since I’m sleeping better.”

“So Momo won’t let me see your dress.”

“I don’t want everyone seeing it yet. Wait. Why were you at Momo’s?”

Jimmy shrugged and blushed as Zacky Swam over and stood between Diana’s legs.

“I heard something about a dress. Don’t tell me Jimmy got to see it!”

“No he didn’t and even if he did you’re going to be the last person to see it anyways.”

Diana chuckled and kissed him and he wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Jimmy called me fat.”

“I did not! I said you looked pudgy.”

“It’s because I can cook more than rice or ramen.”

Diana shrugged. “Not my fault I don’t have cooking skills.”

Zacky started to say something sarcastic about her cooking before he was shoved under the water by Johnny who had brought the party down to their end of the pool. Brian and Matt used their combined strength to drag Jimmy into the pool and when they did Jimmy immediately jumped onto Brian’s back and pulled him under the water. Matt turned to Diana and grinned and grabbed her leg before Zacky found his way out of Johnny’s gnome grasp and jumped onto Matt’s back dragging him away giving Diana time to get away from the side of the pool and retreat over to where Valarie and Michelle were sitting.

“We were wondering how long it would take before they tried to pull you in.” Valarie laughed and rolled from her stomach to her back.
“Yeah I should have seen that one coming. Hey Valarie, have you gotten word on that place Zacky and I were looking at?”

“For the wedding? Yup! And I have it booked for April 22nd.”

“Really because that was super quick!”

Valarie waved her ring finger around.

“I did it the hard way first so now your wedding is going to go without a problem.”
Diana jumped as she felt someone wet grab her from behind then snickering at Jimmy came around and picked her up by her feet. Despite her protests and screaming she was tossed like a rag doll into the pool. When she broke the water’s surface she saw Jimmy and Zacky standing out of the pool laughing.

“Love you babe!” Zacky smiled at her but she glared back. Before she could give a snarky reply Jimmy leaped into the pool and managed to miss her by a couple inches but water rushed over her like a wave. Diana was able to swim to the edge of the pool and pulled herself out. Zacky walked over to help her but when she was standing again she pushed him into the pool but not before he grabbed her arm and she was thrown back into the pool.

“Zachary James Baker I swear to everything I will end you!” a round of ‘oohhhhs’ came from the guys.”

“But baby.”

“Don’t ‘baby’ me mister.”
Zacky pouted his bottom lip out at her and Diana tried not to smile but a small grin broke through.

“You smiled which means I’m not in trouble.” Zacky swam over to her and wrapped his arms around her.

“I don’t see how that rule is allowed.”

“That’s always been Zacky logic.” Matt chimed in before jumping on Brian which gave Diana the moment to get out of the pool.

“Still in trouble Zachary.”

Diana headed back over to Valarie and Michelle but Valarie was getting up.

“Momo and I made plans for tonight for the three of us to work on wedding details.”
Diana groaned but Valarie pulled her away and they both got changed and headed over to Momo’s. Diana and Momo both sat on her bed as Valarie had stacks of books with color pallets for designs of things from the table cloths to the cake. Just a few days ago Valarie had dragged Zacky and Diana to try different cakes which they agreed later that they all tasted the same. Today however, Valarie took the dedication of being a bridesmaid/ wedding coordinator to the next boring level. They were heading onto their fourth hour of sitting in Momo’s messing room going over plans and trying to keep themselves from going insane.

“What about this color Diana? I think this one brings out Zacky’s eyes the most.”

“Looks wonderful Val.”

“Are you not even trying? Why am I helping you if you are just going to sit there and make faces the whole time?”

“Whoa Valarie I’m super appreciative of everything you’re doing for me because I wouldn’t be this far along without you but you know me and know this is super boring.”
Valarie relaxed her shoulders again. “Damn right. Maybe you should do something a little more hands in.”

“Like?”

“Go try on your dress again. Maybe it’ll make you excited again.”
Diana lit up a little and bounded towards Momo’s closet where the dress was and pulled it out looking it over again. She stripped out of her clothes and slipped the dress on and called Momo over to help zip it up but about halfway she couldn’t get the zipper up anymore.

“Diana it won’t zip.”

“Is it stuck?”

“No it looks like you gained weight.”

“But I run five miles every day that’s not possible.”

“The seams don’t lie Diana.” Valarie frowned at the open back of the dress.

“Just another thing to add to the list of things going wrong lately.”

“What do you mean sweetie?” Valarie put the books to the side and looked up at her concerned.

“I’m gaining weight which means my perfect dress isn’t fitting, I’m starting to feel like Zacky doesn’t want to be with me as much anymore like there’s this tension between us and I have no idea why and then there’s Jimmy. I feel like I’m losing my brother! He won’t talk to me anymore, we don’t write together like we used to, and when I do read his music it’s scary and concerning but when I try to talk to him ‘everything’s fine’ and I can’t handle everything lately.”
Diana was breathing heavily trying to not cry but her tears started streaming down her face. Momo and Valarie immediately hopped up and ran over to her trying to console her.

“Diana Zacky loves you. Everyone can see it in his eyes, the same ones that can’t stay off you when you’re in the same room. And as for the weight it’s nothing you can’t trim off or let some of the seams loose in the dress.” Momo smiled at her.

“As for Jimmy, we are all concerned about him right now and it’s something they guys are going to talk to him about soon.” Valarie said.

Diana wiped her face and smiled.

“Thanks guys. Sorry I just feel like a walking raging hormone lately.”

“It’s okay don’t worry about it. Everything will be fine. I promise.”
