1 Week Later

Brian POV

"You selfish little whores!" Hadley half yelled, half laughed as she chased me and Jimmy around the room for drinking all the beer in her apartment. "You didn't even share!"

"Hads, hakuna your ta-tas, we left you some Jack," Jimmy said gesturing to the fridge.

"Hakuna what?" Hadley asked as I burst out laughing.

"It means calm your tits," I explained through my laughing fit.

"Well then the Jack's aaaall mine!" Hadley declared, running for the fridge; however, Jimmy ran up behind her, scooped her up, and ran around the apartment with her. "I scorn you, scurvy companion! Away, moldy rogue, away!"

I ran over to try to rescue her, but Jimmy ran away from me.

"No! My Hadley!" Jimmy protested, hiding behind the couch.

Hadley POV

"No! My Hadley!" Jimmy cried as he hid.

I laughed as Brian ran over and scooped me out of Jimmy's arms. I couldn't help but become slightly distracted by Brian's sculpted arms beneath me. Jimmy began to chase us again, but when Brian turned to run, he tripped and landed on top of me.

"Oomph!" I gasped as I hit the ground, Brian's face inches from mine.

"I ship it! I ship it!" Jimmy called out joyously, causing me to blush furiously. "I'm going to leave you two alone...I think Nikki's at the bar..." With that, he left, leaving me and Brian. I know I had been talking to Matt a lot this week, but there was something missing with him that I felt with Brian. But then, I bet he just saw me as a friend. He didn't move, and neither did I.'

"Hey Hads," Brian started, averting his gaze form me at first before looking back.

"Hm?"

"Can I kiss you?" He asked, looking uncertain.

"You didn't need permission at my concert," I laughed to myself.

"Hey, I was just trying to get that guy to leave you alone," Brian grinned.

"Uh huh. Sure," I said sarcastically. "You know you want this."

Brian POV

"Uh huh. Sure. You know you want this."

Though she said it sarcastically, Hadley didn't know how right she was. At that point, I couldn't help it. I wanted to show her that I did want her. I leaned down and closed my eyes, placing my lips on hers. I was gentle with her, wanting her to know how precious she was to me. I was just hoping my message was conveyed.

Hadley POV

Brian leaned down to kiss me and I swear my heart pounded straight through my chest. He kissed me gently, resting his forearms on either side of my head and stroking my hair. I loved every second of it, but I couldn't do this. I had to say something. I moved my head to the side to break the kiss. Brian gave me a confused look.

"Bri, why did you want to kiss me?" I asked, nervous about the answer.

"You're going to think I'm crazy," he replied.

"Try me."

Brian took a deep breath. "I'm in love with you, Hads."

My breath hitched in my throat. Brian was in love with me?

"How do you know?" I asked, looking down at my fingers, playing with his necklace that hung down in front of me.

"Because you're my 'reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff'," Brian smiled, knowing I used the "It Takes Two" quote when always referring to love. I reached up to put my arms around his neck and kissed him back. The kiss before had been gentle, but now we both poured all our feelings for each other into it; however, we broke apart when someone came in the door.

"Hey, Hads, do you know where Brian--" Matt said, but stopped when he saw us. "Oh. There you are. Hope I wasn't interrupting."

I got up immediately, trying to fix my hair and straighten myself out in embarrassment. "Of course not. What's up?"

"We need your lover for practice," Matt muttered before walking out and slamming the door.

Awe, Brian :) But poor Matt :( Are Hadley and Brian together now? Or will Matt get in the way? I had no ideas going into this chapter, so I hope it turned out okay :) Love you all!
