It's been 6 long grueling months of treatments to get rid of the cancer that has came back. Some days, I can barely get out of bed and other days I'm just fine and sometimes I think that I just can't go on like this but I can't give up. Devon needs me. She's already lost her broher in way no one should lose and she doesn't need me giving up. I can't imagine what would happen to her if I lost this fight. Every moment I spend in the hospital, I can see Devon's sadness and it breaks my heart but it wills me to go on. I've written letters to everyone individually telling them how much I love them and how much they have meant to me. I've read the letters over and over again and prepared myself for the death that could come with every test result. I got ready to go to the hospital for another treatment of chemo and radiation. I pulled on my shoes and walked out of the room and seen Matt and Zacky with shit eating grins on their faces.

"What's with the smiles?" I said as I stepped off the stairs.

"I got a call from Melissa and..."

"What?" I said looking down preparing for the worst.

"Melissa said that you are 100 percent cancer free and it looks like your cancer will never return."

"Is this for real?" I asked looking up and smiling.

"Melissa checked it several times and it always came back the same." I jumped into Matt's arms and then Zacky and hugged them both. I stood back up and zacky looked at me intently.

"Rae, I need to ask you something?"

"What is it?" I asked smiling. I watched as Zacky got down on one knee and my eyes widened.

"Raelyx, you're the only person in the world who actually makes me feel like I matter. Your love tells me that I don't have to be afraid to love a girl ever again. I love you Rae and it would make the happiest man in the world for you to be my wife. Will you marry me?" I covered my mouth with my hand and nodded my head yes and he slipped the ring onto my finger. He stood to his feet and wrapped his arms around me kissing me softly. I laid my head on his shoulder and seen Devon smiling from ear to ear. I let go of Zacky and bend down as Devon ran over to me. I held her up and hugged her as Zacky wrapped his arm around my lower back.

"You 2 look so great together." Matt said smiling and I knew he was exactly right. I have the man who stayed by my side through everything and a man who loves me unconditionally. I love Zackary James Baker with everything I have.
