Moving Out
I woke to a splitting headache and hurting back. I slowly sat up with one hand over my eyes and feeling the bones crack deep in my spine. My eyes slowly opened and the affects of the hangover really started to take its toll on me. I slowly got to my feet and made my way into the bathroom where I grabbed some asprin to relieve this raging ache. I downed the 2 little white pills with some water before leaving the bathroom and going to the kitchen to make coffee. I sat down at the bar holding my aching head as the coffee pot brewed the black liquid that would kill this headache and wake me better. The pot on the counter buzzed making my cringe and I got up and grabbed a mug from the cabinet and poured some of the coffee. I ignored the hot and steam from the coffee and gulped half of it down. The strong coffee filled my body with a warming and relaxing heat and I sighed in content.
"Angel is that coffee I smell?" I just about dropped my cup when Nix walked through the doorway.
"Yeah...I thought everyone would need some after that party last night." I said smiling as I filled up my cup once more. I filled Nix's cup and she drunk down the whole cup before helping herself to another cupfull.
"So you and Jase going to tell Brian about moving into that apartment you got?"
"Damnit! I completely forgot!" I said face palming myself and growling in frustration which did not help one bit with the aching in my head.
"Good job Angel. What time are you supposed to be actually moved in?"
"In 2 days." I said groaning before sitting down at the bar with my coffee.
"What's the apartment look like?"
"You mean is it furnished?" I asked and she nodded.
"Yeah it's completely furnished and has a beautiful view of the ocean and once I get some of my decor up, it will look like our shop in Tennessee." I said smiling.
"I hope you're letting me help!"
"Would I leave my best friend out in the cold like that?" I asked looking over at me and she shrugged.
"You know the answer to that kid." I said laughing.
"Know the answer to what?" We both looked over to the doorway where Brian stood with his hair all a mess and looking like death warmed over.
"I asked her if I would leave my best friend out in the cold and she just shrugged." I said smiling. He looked really confused but he didn't question it. He seen seen the coffee pot and slowly trudge over to it and helped himself to the rejuvenating substance.
"There is something I need to tell you Brian." I said as he leaned against the counter.
"What's that?"
"Jase and I found an apartment close by and we're moving out." I said and he looked up from his cup.
"You guys are moving out?"
"Just Jase and me. Nix said she would stay." I said and he smiled at Nix.
"When are you leaving?"
"We're supposed to be moved into the place in 2 days." I said and he finished his cup.
"I'll have the guys help you get your stuff moved in."
"Thanks Brian. I was just going to ask you and it's like you read my mind." I said smiling and he rolled his eyes. Nix chuckled lightly. I finished what was left of my cup and got up from my seat informing Nix and Brian that I would be back with breakfast and I left the house. It's kind of weird that I haven't had and crazy dreams lately and I wonder why?

When I had gotten back with breakfast from Mickey D's, everyone else was up and free of their hangovers and I gave them the food I had brought back. They acted like they've never seen food in a long period fo time but it didn't bother me. Jase often eats like that and so does Nix so it doesn't bother me in the least. After breakfast was devoured Jase and I started packing our things and loaded them into the company SUV that Nix always drives. I think on her next birthday, I know what I can get her. She's always wanted a car of her own to drive instead of using the company's and that thing is almost on it's last leg anyways and with the money we've all had coming in from the investigations, I could afford to get me a new car and get one for Nix as well. I think I'll talk to Brian about it when it gets closer to her birthday.
Nix drove Jase and I over to the apartment with the others right behind us. Once we got to the apartment, they all helped me and Jase out with carrying our things up to the apartment. I told Nix we would start getting the apartment to look like a home tomorrow and soon they all left. I think Nix really liked the apartment and I know I do. The view of the ocean was so relaxing to look at and I couldn't have picked a better place to live.
