How To Save A Life.

I woke up to a text from Jimmy.

'Hey, do u wanna hang out today?'

'Sure, with who and where?'

'Just u and me at the park, and I'll take u out for lunch?'

'Sounds good.'

'Okay. Make sure to be a little dressy.'

'Dressy?'

'A dress and some flats or flip flops.'

'Okay.'

'I'll be at ur hotel room in about an hour. Fair enough?'

'Fair enough. See you soon.'

'See u soon.'

As soon as I received his text, I put my phone down and shot up out of bed. I made sure not to wake sleeping Beauty or she might bite my ass for it. I went through my messy bag that I had packed, and luckily I did grab a dress. It was a noodle strap dress that went down to my mid thigh section. It was pretty cute. It was black with dark purple polkadots. I grabbed my flip flops and a strapless bra with a thong. I headed straight for the shower. As soon as I was done I dried my soaking wet body off and put my clothes on. I slipped my flip flops on, and started on my hair. As soon as I had my hair perfected, I worked on my makeup. I was pleased with my looks, and I'm sure Jimmy would be too. I looked at the time off of my IPod and realized an hour and fifteen minutes had went passed. Fuck! I ran out of the bathroom, and ran into someone. They fell, and I went with him. I looked up and saw a laughing Jimmy. My face was bright red.

"Jimmy... I-I'm so sorry..."

"Don't worry about it Ana." He chuckled. I got off of him and helped him up. He brushed himself off and then looked at me. His face lit up with a smile.

"You look beautiful in that dress." I looked at my feet.

"Thanks." I didn't realize what he was wearing because I was sort of embarrassed about what had just happened. When I looked at him, he was in a dressy button up shirt and nice pants. He even was wearing dressy shoes. I must say he looks pretty damn sexy when he's dressed up.

"You look pretty nice yourself." I managed to say.

"Why thank you."

"Yeah. So uh can you explain how you got in?"

"Yeah, I knocked and Shelly was up and she let me in."

"Oh okay."

"Yeah. Mr. Sullivan came to get you. And it just so happened that I was awake and you were getting all dolled up for him. So I answered the door." Shelly said coming from the bedroom.

"How did you know he was coming?" I asked.

"Leaving your cell phone on the nightstand with your snoopy bestfriend isn't the smartest thing to do." She chuckled. I laughed with her knowing she was right. "Here it is by the way." She said tossing me my phone. I caught it and put it in my purse.

"So are you ready?" Jimmy asked.

"Yep." I said popping the P. He held out his hand, and I grabbed it.

"Don't come back too late, and take care of her Jimmy!" Shelly said.

"Yes mother." He replied. We all laughed and we left the room. He led me to a really nice convertible. He opened the door for me, and helped me in. He closed the door and went to the drivers side. He plopped onto the seat, and put on his seat belt. I did the same. He turned on the ignition and we were off.

"So do you want to go to the park first, or lunch?" He asked.

"I honestly don't care. Either way is fine with me."

"I think the lady should choose."

"A man with manners. I like that." I smiled. I saw a grin on his face from the side.

"How else are you supposed to get a girl? If you're a huge jerk she's not going to want you is she?"

"I guess not. Are you implying that you are trying to get with me or something?"

"No, not after us just meeting yesterday. But I do want to get to know you."

"Oh okay. Fair enough."

"Fair enough." He said in a hilarious voice. I laughed and then snorted causing him to laugh. I hid my face as I laughed.

"That was cute." He said.

"I just snorted, I find that quite embarrassing." I giggled.

"No, now where do you want to go woman?"

"Woman? This woman has a name man!"

"So does this man! Now pick!"

"The park!"

"Geez now was it that difficult?"

"Yes. It was." I said being a smart ass.

"Why do women have to make everything so difficult?" He laughed. I gave him a playful glare and he laughed a bit harder than before.

We got to the park, and we walked around and talked about our past. We told each other secrets that no one else even knew. We had a lot in common. We went and sat on the swing sets and he pushed me for a bit. I swear we told each other everything. But I didn't tell him that I was abused at home. I knew I was going to have to tell him sooner or later.

Jimmy's P.O.V:

Ana is different from all of the other girls that I've been around. She's a good different. She seems to have been through a lot as a child. Yet I feel like she's hiding something. She is kind of out of it at the moment. Like she's debating on telling me something. I need to know what's on her mind.

"Hey Ana, are you okay? You look a little worried." I said hoping she'd fess up. J

"Huh? Oh I'm fine. I was just thinking about something. That's all." She said looking at her feet.

"No, tell me what you're thinking about. You can tell me anything. I've told you everything, just tell me. You can trust me." I said trying to assure her that whatever it is she can tell me.

"I don't need to pull you into my bullshit Jimmy. I can't.."

"Please tell me."

Tears filled her beautiful blue eyes, and she looked away. She looked like she was about to talk, but she just couldn't let it out. I went over to her and held out my arms. She immediately jumped off of the swing and hugged me. I felt her shake a bit. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Jimmy..." She managed to say.

"Yes Ana?"

"Please don't make me go home.. Please..." She started crying even harder. What was happening to her at home..

"Why sweetheart? What happens at home?"

"My dad.... H-he rapes me... H-he beats me..." She said. Her crying only getting worse. I felt tears building up in my eyes. I tensed up and held her even closer to me.

"He what..?"

"He rapes and beats me... Please make it stop... Don't make me go back home..." I felt tears falling from my eyes one after another.

"Does Trevor know about this?"

"N-no... I'm afraid he won't believe me..."

"Sweetheart he's your brother... When did this start?"

"After Trevor left..."

I nodded and held her. I needed to talk to Trevor, and she needed out of that house. No human being should have to live like that. My hands were still clenched up in fists and I felt her hold them. When she touched them, my whole body relaxed. She looked up at me. I could see that she was trusting me with her life. And I was going to get her out of there. But I just don't know how.. I wiped the tears off of her face. I even fixed her makeup up a bit. Her face was red from all of the crying she had done. And it broke my heart.

Ana's P.O.V:

I told Jimmy what happens at home. He wasn't too happy. He was actually crying... A grown man crying about another person's life. He obviously cares.. For once I felt safe in someone else's arms. He wiped my tears away and fixed up my makeup.

"Do you still want to go for lunch? I'll still pay." He said in a raspy low voice. I nodded. We were sitting on mulch so we had to brush ourselves off. He held my hand to the car and opened the door as he did before. He sat in his seat, and put on his seat belt. I had already done that. I pulled out my purse, and got the backup makeup I had in it. I always was prepared with makeup just in case I'd break down about something. I fixed myself up again, and I looked as if nothing happened. I wiped the tears off of his face, and planted a small kiss on his cheek. He looked at me and whispered "I promise, I'll save you from that hell hole.." With that we pulled out of the parking lot and headed off for lunch.
