Ana’s POV

I slowly raised my head and opened my eyes to finally see my reflection in the mirror.
I saw two persons. The first one I set my eyes on was Romy, but this second.. I don’t know.
I look at her and her face looks familiar. Her blond hair slightly pinned to her head only a few waves fell onto her shoulders.
A gentle make-up highlighting her green eyes and her own beauty. The dress, ohh… the dress is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. It fit just perfectly.
When I realize that the other person I was staring at was me, my eyes filled with tears.
“No no no… don’t cry!” Romy nearly yelled,“ You can’t destroy your make-up now! You must be ready in a few seconds. Brian is already waiting for you”
Brian.. Yes, I need to look good no amazing, just for him.
The door opened to the small room where I was waiting with Romy and my parents came inside.
“Oh honey!” , my mom looked at me, “ You look amazing!”
She hugged me tight and I can see tears running down her cheeks
“You’re the most beautiful bride in have ever seen…”, my mom held my cheeks in her hand and smiled.
“I think that every mother says that” I tried to joke.
“Are you ready?” my dad asked me also with a small smile and I nodded at him.
My mom kissed my cheek one more time and went outside, Romy stood ahead of me.

My dad grabbed me by the elbow, the music starts on and we began to walk step by step forward.
I looked at the floor first because I didn’t want to trip over something and fall down and second, because I was pretty ashamed that everybody was staring at me.
If someone had told me a few weeks ago that my father would lead me to the alter on my wedding, I would have said that he would be crazy.
But now, I still couldn’t believe it, here we are…
Okay, maybe not everything was fine now between us, but we were both trying. I still have this feeling in the back of my mind, that this all a dream and I will forget about it again, maybe even lose my memories...
I forgave him for what he had did to me and my mother, but it’s still hard to forget. I just couldn’t understand why first this tragedy with my accident hast to happen that he would understand what is really important in life.
I know that we never will have great relationship as father and daughter like others might have, but it’s enough for me to just talk normal with him and meeting without yelling, crying and bad atmosphere.

In the corner of my eye I see all the people standing on both sides of the carpet looking at me while I past them during my walk.
White and light pink flowers around the floor, that looks just amazing.
We took just a few steps more, when I felt my dad hand let go of mine and suddenly there I felt a familiar touch that sent shivers all over my whole body.
I raised my head and saw him- My heart.
Brian was now standing next to me, with a small smile and shining brown eyes, looking a little shocked and amused at the same time.
When I look at his eyes, all my bad feelings are gone. I knew that I’m exactly where I needed and wanted to be, with the person I belonged to.
The priest began the ceremony, but I couldn’t focus on what he really said.
I was just looking at Brian, he helped me to calm down.
“Please say the words of your Vows” the priest said and I needed to focus on that now.
My hands were shaking and I knew that my voice was shaking too.
I don’t know if I could speak at all, but I tried, “Brian..” I started and swallowed the lump in my throat, “ I love you, and I know that you love me. Today is a very special day for me. A Long time ago you were just a dream for me, so this day is like a dream come true. Therefore, I pledge my life to you as a faithful and loving wife. I submit myself to you.” I finished and sobbed softly as I saw tears in Brian’s eyes.
“Brian Elwin Haner Jr., do you take Anastasia Evans as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part? “ the priest asked and Brian immediately said “I do” with a smile of happiness on his face.
I grabbed his hand a little tighter to help him, “Anastasia” He took another deep breath and continue “I love you and I am sure that you love me, too. Because of our strong love and our because I just know that we belong together I want to be your husband. Through all of the uncertainties and trials of the present and future, I promise to be faithful to you and to always love you from the bottom of my heart. I promise to care of you, honor and protect you. I lay down my life to you. Today I give you me and everything that is within me.” he finished and my tears started to fall down even more. “Anastasia Evans, Do you take Brian Elwin Haner Jr. as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?”
“I do” I said with brittle voice.
“Ana, take this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness” he said and Brian took my right hand and put the ring on my finger.
“Brian, take this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness” I tried to put his ring on his finger as well but my hands were shaking so bad that it took a little longer but finally it fit.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. Now, you may kiss the bride.”
Brian put his hand on my cheeks and pulled me closer to him, he leaned his head forward to finally join our lips.
When our lips met, I forgot about everything, about our guests, which were looking at us now. And I heard Jimmy yell in the background, “YEAHHHHH FINALLY MRS. HANER!!!! WOOHOOOOO”
I felt like my cheeks were bright red now and I smiled at Brian,‘ I love you’ I whispered, ‘ I love you’ Brian answered as well.
I gave him a big smile and embraced him tight. I need to feel him.
After that everyone started to come over to graduate and hug us and I couldn’t believe it, I was finally married to the man of my dreams!
