Amanda’s POV

I combed my hair with my fingers one more time to make sure that they lie how they should. I want to look perfect for my Date. One last time I looked into the mirror and now I'm ready to go. I was a bundle of nerves. Damn it, normally I was never scared before a date. But this time I was scared already before he had called me to confirm our date. When I was at my home after the lunch with Ana and Jimmy, I realized that he had invited me to a date on Friday, but how we can make a real appointment with me when he doesn’t have my number? I didn't want to ask Ana about it, because maybe he only wanted to be nice at our lunch, but never really wanted to date me or something!?
I was so surprised and happy when he had finally called me yesterday. He said that Ana gave him my number. He didn't tell me where we'll be going, only that he will pick me up on 7pm. I need to calm down.. Oh why I'm so incorrigible romantic?! Why do I always think when I met some man that he's the one?! That's why my heart isfamiliarized to pain.

I don't know why but when I saw Jimmy for the first time, when I heard his laugh and saw his shining blue eyes I just felt that he's the special one I was searching for... Yes, I know that I said that about Harry as well, but in the end he proved to be an asshole.
But the truth was that after his death I never felt good with another man. Maybe it was because I was too naive, I trusted too easily? I still have this day on my mind, the day when he broke up with me after 4 years relationship.
He said to me that it's over, that he just doesn’t love me anymore, that he was with me these last months just because he didn't know how he could tell me that he wanted to break up.
And maybe I could have come to terms with that, I had to accept it anyway, because it wasn’t his fault that his feelings had changed towards me or that our relationship had started to bore him.
But the day after he had moved out, his friend called me and said that he cheated on me more than a whole year and that this new girl was pregnant now. I can't describe how angry I was. He had always told me that he doesn’t want kids.
A Few days after this a girl came to my house and she was crying. She was Harry's newgirlfriend, this girl in front of me. First I wanted to hit her face, but on second thought I was too curious why she was crying and why she was here!?
It turned out that after she told him that he'll be a Daddy, he went a club drank too much and overdosed on drugs. His heart just stopped beating.
Despite the fact that I hated him for breaking my heart, I couldn't believe it. I had still missed him somehow. Sometimes I feel like since he died that he had cursed me, because every man whom I met cheated on me or just played with me and I was too stupid to notice. So now, maybe I'm stupid again but I really think that with Jimmy this will be different.
My phone buzzed, and I saw a message from him that he is waiting for me outside. I grabbed my bag and went out.
When I saw him leaning against his car, it took my breath away.
Damn it, he looks so hot. He wasn't one of these boys with slicked back hair and perfectly ironed shirt, buttoned up to the last button. Oh no, definitely not. His hair stuck out in all directions and he looks hundred times better then all the men on the planet put together.
I slowly moved towards him with smile on my lips. He embraced me and kissed my cheek, "Are you ready?" He asked me.
"Depends on what we are about to do…" I answered.
"First we'll go Bungee jump and next what you say for pontoon cruise on the ocean?"
I looked at him shocked, what?!
He started to laugh, "I’m just kidding".
"Oh, Damn.. I started to think about an excuse which I could tell you, that I must go because I left the iron on, or that my grandmother was sick..." He started laugh even louder.
" So Jimmy, for real. Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise for you", he said and opened the car door for me.
Cute, hot, crazy, funny and a gentleman?! Oh Jimmy, where have you been all my life!

Jimmy’s POV

I picked up Amanda at her home. And she looked gorgeous, since she didn’t know what I had planned for our evening, she wore a mix up of sexy and casual clothes, exactly how I liked it.
But before our Date really would start, I wanted to test her.
She should know who she is dealing with, when she goes out on a date with someone like me.
The evening sun was beautifully shining in a light red, perfect for my plan.
I drove over to the parking lot and got out of the car, gentleman that I sometimes was I opened her car door for her and held my hand out to help her. Trustingly she put her hand in mine, she didn’t know that I wouldn’t let go in the near future. I intertwined our fingers and directed her to my first destination.
She looked curiously around and I could see her eyes sparkle with interest at what I had planned.
“So, Jimmy… we are in a park and the sun is setting down, you want to watch the sunset with me?”
“Well, that is one way to put it, but we are not exactly where I want you.” I winked at her and smiled.
Her cheeks grew red, oh she had a dirty mind. I like that, I really really like that.
I led her further into the park and we came to the destination I wanted. We were the only people her exactly how I imagined it to be.
I stopped in front of the playground for children and looked at her.
“Our date is on a playground? You want me to slide and to seesaw?” She looked amused and excited.
Perfect.
“Not right now. I brought you here for a reason.” I looked down on our linked hands.
“What is that reason?” She turned around to look me in the eyes.
“The reason is, that I like you, but if you really want to date me, you have to see that I am sometimes doing stupid things and that I still have this child in me that needs to play and let out his energy. You have to not only see the man on the outside, you have to see me in the inside as well.
And with that demonstration here I wanted to give you an easy way out, you know?!” I paused to see her reaction.
“What do you mean with easy way out, Jimmy?”
“If you can’t deal with a sometimes childish and silly friend, then you should just say it now and I will bring you home, but if you can handle me with everything, then maybe we take a swing on that seesaw and after that I’ll bring you to the original date.” I smirked at her and waited for her decision.
Maybe I ruined everything now, but she had to know from the start who she is dealing with and I won’t change myself for anyone. If they can’t deal with me being me, they should turn around and get the fuck away.
She looked into my eyes and I felt like, she could see into my soul, reading everything that I am.
Then she turned around and let go of my hand.
Damn, I had wished so much that she would even try it…
I sighed loudly and prepared myself for another evening alone at my home, when I saw Amanda running towards the seesaw and screaming, “First one, now you have to give me a push.”
She jumped onto the seesaw and waited for me. I couldn’t hide my laugh and ran towards her.
Placed myself behind her and gave the seesaw a push forward, she squealed in delight.
“I have forgotten how funny that is, Jimmy” She laughed again.
I sat down next to her and grabbed her hand, “Come on, next is the slide…”
We both climbed onto the tower with the slide and she sat down in front of me and I laid my arms around her belly, so we could slide together. I placed my head directly next to hers and smelled her shampoo and if she would turn her head a little to the side, I could steal a kiss so easily.
But she moved forward and we both sped down the slide and fell off at the end. We both lay in the sand and started to laugh. I braced myself on my elbow and leaned towards her, I couldn’t wait any longer. I looked deeply into her eyes and moved forwards, she closed her eyes and my lips were only a few inches away…
“You two, get out of here, this is a playground for children and not for adults making out… Get out now or I call the police!!” an elderly looking man was yelling at us only a couple of feet away.
Damn it, couldn’t he wait a few moments longer, to interrupt us. Stupid old man!
I stood up and held my hand out for Amanda to take it.
She smiled shyly at me, took my hand and stood up.
“Sorry Sir, we are gone now. Don’t bother calling the police.” I yelled to him.
I walked with Amanda by my side towards the car and opened the door for her to get in and closed it after she sat inside.
Next destination for the date, let’s see how she likes that.
