Romy’s POV

Damn it, I needed to finish these whole design ideas for the fair next week. So I didn’t have time to go to lunch with Ana and Amanda. It was already after 1:30 and my stomach growled in protest.
Someone knocked on my door and I looked up, it was one of my co-workers, Sam.
Sam was a really nice guy and we had to work together on some projects.



“Hi Romy, you wanna join me? I will have dinner now? You also haven’t eaten, right?”
“Yeah, right. But I really need to finish this…”
“Come on, we will go to the coffee shop and grab a sandwich there, 30 minutes.”
“Ohhh damn, yes alright. Let’s go.”
I grabbed my jacket and we went together to the small coffee shop just down the street.
We ordered a coffee and sandwich and sat there in the back off the coffee shop.
“So do you have plans for the weekend already?” Sam looked at me interested.
“Weekend, no not really. Haven’t thought about it by now… and you?”
“My girlfriend and I will visit my brother and his wife, I am an uncle since yesterday.”
He held his phone up and showed me a photo of a cute little baby boy.
“Congratulations.”, I hugged him friendly.

Zacky’s POV

I wanted to surprise Romy at work. She had told me that she got a lot to do today and won’t be able to have a break. So I wanted to at least visit her and bring her a something to eat.
We had a few problems in the last days and haven’t talked a lit so I wanted to make it up to her.
If I would know where her office is!? I walked towards the reception area and the woman behind the desk looked at my tattoos and piercings. “How can I help you, Mister…?”
“Baker. I am searching for my girlfriend Romy Sanders. Where is her office?”
“Romy Sanders? You are the boyfriend of Romy?” The woman looked at me even more precise.
“Yes, why?” I was getting a little confused.
“I just haven’t thought that Romy liked… you know…” she was interrupted by Ana who approached from another office.
“Zack, what are you doing here?” I hugged Ana but still looked at the woman behind the desk.
“I wanted to visit Romy, can you show me to her office, please.”
Ana nodded and grabbed my hand, “Sure, come on.”
We walked a few doors further and then onto the right side she knocked and opened the door.
But the office was empty.
“Oh shit, I forgot, she wanted to take her break later, but she will be back in a few. Do you want to wait, or should I call her?” Ana asked me.
“No, I can call her myself. But do know where she could be?” I still could surprise her.
“Yeah, she might be in the coffee shop down the street. But…”, Ana started.
“Ok, I will try it there… Thanks Ana, see you later.” I hugged her and went out of the building.

I walked into the coffee shop and at first thought that Romy wasn’t there. Then I looked over to the back and finally saw Romy sitting at the table… with another guy. What the fuck?!
Who is that? And hadn’t she told me that she has no time for a break and now she was here with another guy?!
Ok, we did argue a lot in the last time. But that wasn’t my fault alone we both had a share in that. After the movie night she planned and then skipped for me, she was even more upset since I had been out on my own. But how I could I know that she would listen to me in the end?!
And now I couldn’t believe that she would turn to another guy…
Then Romy stood up leaned over the table and hugged that guy. Ok, that is enough.

I went over to the table and grabbed his shoulder and shoved him away from my girl.
“What the fuck is going on here? Get your fucking hands off my girlfriend!” I yelled at him.
I shoved him even further into the corner, when suddenly Romy stood before me.
“Zack, what are you doing here?! Stop it, damn it!” She looked angry at me.
“What I am doing? What are you doing here? I thought you were so busy. And now I see you here with another guy? So tell me now, is he the one you are betraying me with? Do you have enough of me, you could have told me and not do this behind my back?!”
She looked at me shocked, she had the nerve to look shocked.
“Hey dude, sorry. But you really got this wrong. I am Sam, her…”
“I don’t fucking care who you are. So shut the fuck up!” I interrupted the guys who stood next to Romy again.
“ZACK, listen to me. He is my co-worker. And we were just having a snack together, what is wrong with you?! He is in a relationship and I wouldn’t betray you, you dumb idiot!”
I opened my mouth to reply but she just grabbed her jacket and went out left me standing there with the co-worker.
“Sorry, man I didn’t want to cause any stress between you. I just work with Romy on the fair designs. I just showed her a picture of my nephew and she just hugged and congratulated me. I am in a happy relationship and never made a move towards your girl, man.”
“I just… fuck… FUCK FUCK FUCK! I am sorry. I am Zack and most probably not any longer the boyfriend of Romy. Shit, man. I thought, it’s a little complicated during these last days… I hope you won’t hold it against me…”
“It’s ok man. I am also on the jealous- side, I know what you feel like. You should go and talk to her.”
“Thanks. Yes, I will try.”
I fucked up… big time now.
