I rolled over to face the person next to me in bed they were so warm and comforting , they’re arms were wrapped around me and it felt so good, like coming home from a long vacation. I turned my face up and they kissed me lightly, I opened my eyes and saw the most beautiful hazel eyes I’ve ever seen in my life looking back at me.
I shot up wide awake form my dream, what the fuck was that? When I got back from the pier I fell asleep on the couch. Now it was dark out and no one was home yet. I buried my face in my hands. I can’t believe I had a dream about him. This is all Austin’s fault I would have been fine but he had to share his opinions. I got up and decided to make myself dinner. While I was boiling noodles for Mac n’ cheese I heard the door open. I turned around and saw Cassy. “Hey welcome home.” I said turning back around to stir the noodles.
“Oh yum you’re making Mac n’ Cheese.” Cassy said dropping her bag on the couch and coming into the kitchen. “Oh by the way the boys aren’t coming back tonight.” She said as she lifted herself onto the counter.
“Hmm why?” I asked picking out a noodle to test.
“Something about wanting to sleep in their own beds,” Cassy said swinging her legs. “Honestly I thought it sounded a bit rude since the invited themselves to stay here even though it’s farther away from the studio.” Which I was true we never asked them to spend all their time here they decided that on their own.
“That’s true but it’s whatever.” I said turning the stove off and carrying the pot over to the sink. “So how was work?” I asked pouring out the water.
“It was fun I like working in a music store being surrounded by all the instruments and the vinyl and the CDs.” Cassy always had a passion for music we both did but she loved cosmetology more and went to beauty school while I went to school for music, but its hard finding a job when you’re an amateur especially in California. “What did you do today?” She asked.
“I went to the pier with Austin for a bit then I came home and took a nap.” I said mixing the cheese with the noodles, leaving the chunks for Cassy. I wanted to tell her about what we talked about but I know she would stick by Zacky, she’s one to believe a one night stand should stay a one night stand.
“Oh that sounds fun, have you talked to Zacky today?” She asked slipping off the counter and grabbing a spoonful of Mac n’ cheese.
“No I figured he was busy with the studio.” I said grabbing two bowls from the cupboard.
“Brian said yesterday when you suddenly left he was really worried, though he could have texted you at least when they had their breaks of something. I mean even Brian calls me or at least texts me when he’s not doing anything.” Cassy said filling up the bowl I handed her.
I sighed, “I don’t even care right now, just knowing Aaron is in the same state as me right now is exhausting enough without worrying about a distant boyfriend.”
“Oh my god don’t say that what if you two end up breaking up?” Cassy asked slamming her bowl onto the counter.
“It’s not as if we’re going to break up just because he didn’t text me one day.” I said filling up my own bowl.
“But-“I stopped her.
“Please Cass I don’t want to talk about this right now I just want to eat and go back to sleep.” I said sitting down at the table, we ate in silence.
“I’ll do the dishes go take a shower and go to bed,” Cassy said taking away my bowl and spoon.
I walked up behind her and kissed her head, “Thanks Cass.” I went into my room and stripped off my clothes and collapsed onto my bed and fell asleep.
