Promise You Paradise

“Hey munchkin, I hear someone’s being a little brat.” I teased as my sister’s eyes blinked open. She stared at me for a few seconds, before a huge smile formed across her face.

“Bay, I thought they’d never let me see you!” She shouted.

I backed up a little. “Woah, no need for that volume,” I teased before rolling my wheelchair closer to her bed. I took her hand in mine and smiled. “Heard Zacky’s been up in here a whole lot, super adorable, Hacky’s happening… wait no, that sounds awful, Zailey, yeah that’s a little better, I suck at this shit.”

Hailey blushed and shook her head, letting her hair cover her face a little. “What have them been doing to you? Are you okay?”

“Eh, I’m fine. They thought I had internal bleeding or something, I don’t care. I’m fine. Perfect, as always.” I smirked and extended my arm towards Hailey and moved the hair out of her face. “Really, I’m great, we’re both great. We get out soon, didn’t they tell you?”

Hailey looked down and crossed her fingers together. “I’ve been kind of… sedated.”

“And I thought I was the rowdy one.”
Hailey giggled. “I guess we’re just related.” She winked. “So Zacky and Matt came in and had a tiny jam session with me, to calm me down. It helped a lot. I wonder who gave them that idea.” She giggled, knowing perfectly well that it was my idea.

“Hmmm, I wonder who indeed.” I tapped my chin. “Must’ve been someone who knows you very well, someone who probably sat by your bedside when you were sick… oh I know, must’ve been mother!”

“Thank you,” Hailey said. “It really did help, Bay. You always know exactly what I need.”

“That’s because I can feel you, remember.”

“And I can feel you.” Hailey frowned. “And something’s up with you. Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong, what’s really wrong?”

I chewed my lower and averted my gaze towards the ticking clock above the door. “You should probably rest, Hay, or they might extend our stay and we so don’t need that.”

Hailey’s gaze bore into the back of my head. I couldn’t make myself turn around to face her. I mean, it’s not like I’m seriously sick or something, the doctors aren’t even sure yet. There was nothing really to tell. Without looking at her, I wheeled my chair over the door. I heard her say my name, but I didn’t stop until I got to the door. “I’ll be fine, munchkin, I’m gonna lie down though. Can’t wait to get the hell out of here and ugh, out of this dam chair, I can so walk with those stick things” Before Hailey could say another word, I wheeled out and let the door slide shut behind me.

I'll be honest. I didn't even notice a month passed by. *face palm* This is totally my fault. I've been too lazy or preoccupied with emotional crap that I've pretty much made myself go into a TV-induced routine. Basically its been marathons of tv shows I've watched a million times, trying to rewatch the entire Harry Potter series in one sitting, also lots of Facebook usage. I suck. Hopefully my next chapter will be longer. I do know it'll include a little something with the guys, of course. This is after all, their story as much as it is the twins.

So, thanks for sticking with us, although I believe my co-writer is quite busy with school these days, so don't hold it against her if she takes her time on her chapter. We all get busy from time to time.
