Chapter 38
Matt’s P.O.V
A week flew by and Liv was falling into her momma role perfectly and Johnny seemed super happy to have the kids around finally. Erin and the Berry’s were super cautious about the twins since they had arrived earlier and they just wanted to make sure that
everything was going as planned.
“Hey Matt are the contractors coming today?” Erin asked coming around the corner and she took me off guard since she had left her hair down and it was straight. I sat there just gazing at her and the fact that she was wearing this blue sundress.
“Liv dammit you told me I looked good, she played dress up with me and I look stupid!” Erin said getting all uppity about how she looked and I came closer to her and kissed her shutting her up finally.
“It is a breath of fresh air seeing you with your hair down and wearing something other than jeans and a band t-shirt” I said to her and she just sighed and pulled back and I growled a little.
“I just feel like a girly girl… you like it?” She asked and I nodded and kissed her forehead.
“Yes I love it and yes the contractors are coming today to start figuring out the stuff for the security fence and then later we will have Liv and Johnny sit down with us to choose the security cameras and such, busy busy day like usual” I said and she just sat there with her arms wrapped around me and Liv walked in holding Kailyn. Erin seemed to take a liking to Kailyn because she lit up as soon as Liv brought her into the room.
“There’s the little princess, she is so cute” Erin said to Liv who was constantly smiling, I think Liv felt really comfortable with being a mom.
“I think uncle Matt should hold Kailyn while I start lunch” Liv said and put the baby in my arms and I sat there tense a little but once I looked at her face I literally melted, she was an angel and she usually never threw a fit unlike her brother James, he always kept us up at all hours of the night.
“Well don’t you just look so father like holding Kailyn” Erin said and rubbed Kailyn’s hair and kissed me and helped Liv. I sat down just rocking the baby and she cooed in my arms and Jimmy came in and took Kailyn from me and walked back out not evening saying one word to the three of us.
“Jimmy is in love with your children!” I said to Liv and grabbed some of the vegetables Erin was chopping and helping.
“He really is, it is helpful to have everyone around and makes it easier on me knowing that everyone wants to keep them safe, I just hope that for their sake AA doesn’t come sneaking around because I couldn’t handle it right now” Liv said and I understood that she was worried which was why we were taking the precautions that we are to keep them safe and make sure no one can get into the house.
“Well we are always going to be here to help you Liv” I said and then heard the doorbell and walked to do the door and Johnny was already greeting the contractors.
Erin’s P.O.V
I sat there silently helping out Liv who was humming and cooking at the same time and making bottles for the kids and I could hear the guys out in the living room going over stuff.
“So talk to me E, where do you see your relationship with Matt going?” Liv asked and I just paused for a moment trying to process the actual question. I turned around and just leaned against the counter and honestly I was totally unsure about where I wanted to be with Matt.
“Honestly Liv, I don’t know, things have always been so complicated between us that I just really have no idea where we would be in even a year” I said and Liv came over and adjusted my hair playing with the bottom of it a little bit.
“Are you sure about that? Cause to be honest Erin I think that in your mind you are making it more complicated than it really is, the guys have told us about you and Matt’s past and I think that the fact that you two always end up together no matter how many times things have become screwed up shows that things are truly meant to be, that man loves you Erin and he doesn’t want to see you go again” Liv said… seems she has really gotten into showing a lot of feelings after having the twins.
“I know that I love him, and I know that after 5 years of this I am definitely a different woman, I just don’t want him to think that I am expecting too much… I want him to make sure that this is what he really wants before we move forward… speaking of moving forward… you and Johnny… wedding bells in the near future?” I asked her and she just blushed and I could tell that it had ran through her mind.
“So tell me more about Kylie and Brian, I know they are together but since we are on the relationship topic I guess I just always wanted to know more about it” I said grabbing a grape and Liv smiled and leaned against the counter as well while we waited for the food to finish baking.
“Well I know that she is definitely head over heels for that man, she really loves him and they are so much a like it is insane and she is a really crazy and outgoing girl and his sweet side really balances her out, I can see them being together for a long time” Liv said and I was so glad that at least there were girls to talk to here because back in the day there were no girls just the guys. Johnny walked into the living room and he seemed
out of breath.
“Damn are you okay?” I asked and he just laughed grabbing some water.
“Those two were giving me a hard time, but I finally got them down for a nap, they were getting really fussy while Matt was talking to the contractor” Johnny said and wrapped his arm around Liv’s waist.
“Are they almost done in there because the food is almost done and I would love to hear about everything” Liv said and I just sat there for a moment watching how loving and caring the two of them were and how far Liv has come in this whole situation and part of me wished I had the life that she has minus the AA ordeal of course.
“You gonna help me E?” Liv asked snapping me out of my thoughts and I just smiled and helped her get the food set up at the dining room table. Hopefully all that we were doing would help keep everyone safe and make sure that we have some time to help Liv settle into her new life.
