Nothing else matters
Chapter 2
Ana’s POV
Today like always, I start my normal routine:
I dress in my fitness outfit put my headphones into my ears and go out for my usually 40 minutes run. When I get home I take a quick shower followed by my breakfast then watching a little tv and then learning again. After that I take a little rest buy me some dinner. Eating while watching tv or listening to music and then comes the time I hate the most: Sleeping
Because always when I go to sleep the nightmare is my constant companion.
This is my typical day, except the days when I am at the college, of course.
I study management on University of California. These are my last three months. I can’t wait to be done and start my working career, to finally be someone.
But today was a different day. I won’t have my normal routine in my little safe world.
This day would be worse.
Jane, my brother’s girlfriend celebrated her 18th Birthday.
She invited us to the club tonight. Although I am not really close to them, I should go.
I didn’t really feel like party and I don’t know her friends but my brother wouldn’t let go of the topic so I finally said I would come to silence him.
David, my brother took us this new club, called the City Light Club.
After arriving we sat at the bar and ordered our drinks.
It was extremely dark inside this club; just the dance floor was shimmering with multicolored lights.
I could barely see anyone, not even the people standing next to me.
Jane, David and the rest of them went to dance floor, leaving me alone.
After a couple of minutes I went to the rest rooms. I needed to concentrate on every step. Why in hell, they didn’t even have lights on the stairs I couldn’t understand. I nearly tripped over the last step, suddenly a wall was in front of me and I hit my head. I wanted to quickly stand up and held my throbbing head in my hands, I felt dizzy. “Damn it!”
“I'm sorry! Are you all right?” a male voice asked.
“Ahh, yeah… I think” I answered hesitantly.
I looked around and saw the open door of the men's room not a wall, a door had opened directly in front of me and that was the reason I hit my head. I tried to right myself.
“ Wait, I help you!” said the same voice and took one of my hands in his and with the other steadied me around the waist.
“Thanks” I replied.
“Are you sure that you’re okay? Maybe you want sit down for a while?”
“No, I just want to go to the toilet” I took a shaky step and got inside the women’s rest room. I sprayed my face with cold water this helped me to clear my head.
I left and wanted to find Jane to say goodbye, to be honest I felt a little sick.
As soon as I went out of the restrooms into the dark I felt dizzy again and I staggered a little. I had to grab for the door handle steady myself.
Aww, I'm sooooooooo happy for Brian and Ana
