Nothing else matters

Jimmy’s POV

We were sitting at the studio, I was done with my part and just stared at the other guys. They were laughing at something that Johnny said. We were busy during the last days and weeks. We were always in the studio and starting to prepare our next tour.
I looked at Brian. He was looking so happy and I knew the reason for that. I met his new girlfriend a couple of days ago.
It was more an accident but I am glad that it happened. I wanted to talk to Brian about the evening we were at the club and I noticed something strange about Zacky. And with whom would I talk about it first, naturally my best friend Brian.
I have a spare key and walked into his living room. On the couch sat a beautiful blonde girl all alone watching a movie.
“Oh hi Brian, the movie just started, you are on time!” She got up from the couch and saw that it was me. Not her boyfriend, she looked shocked and stood frozen in place.
“I am Jimmy a friend of Brian. And you are?”
“Does everybody have a key to this house? I am Ana by the way”
“Haha.. good question. I guess I am not the first to just walk in here?” I laughed a little.
I sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to me. She sat back down looked at me curiously and I smiled.
“So Ana, tell me about yourself. You are dating my best friend and have to pass my test first…”
We talked for an hour and we laughed a lot. I liked Ana, she needed some time to warm up but she already had a place in my heart, how could she not if she makes Brian happy?!
The front door banged open and a furious looking Brian stood in the doorway.
"Fuck, bro, what are you doing here?? Can nobody fucking call before he just invades my home?! Are you alright, Ana?” Brian walked over to her and kissed her slowly.
"Oh Come on Brian. You thought you could hide your girlfriend forever. I wanted to meet her. And I think that we will spend a lot more time together…”
I grinned at the memory. And I was right; I was there for dinner like every night of the last week.

But back to the future now, “So guys. Next part of the agenda…PARTY!!!!!!!!!” I screamed.
“Jimmy.. don’t fucking scream into my ear, you are sitting just a few inches away.” Johnny complained.
“Don’t be such a pussy. So where should we party? Matt, Val at your house?! Please Val, please…!”
“Ah, sure Jimmy, why not? But not so many people. Just a small group, ok?! And you will go shopping for that event… !”
“Yeayyy.. Party... When? Hm... Tomorrow! Brian, you could introduce your new girlfriend to the rest of the guys. Since Zack and I already know her.”
“Are you ashamed of me and Matt?” Johnny joked.
“Yes Johnny. That’s it. No, man sure. I would like for you to meet her. But guys, she is a little shy, please don’t you know…embarrass me or her.”
“Don’t be afraid, Haner. She already met the worst of us with Jimmy… “ Zacky laughed.
“Yeah and that’s exactly what I am talking about…” Brian laughed and I slapped him in the head.

“Ok, so who would like to join me for the shopping this evening? Somebody volunteering?”
It was silent, “Honey, I would love to but I have a meeting this afternoon. Sorry.” Val was the only one to speak.
“Ok… I will ask Romy. She will help, not like you assholes.”
“Should I have some worries that you hang out so often with my baby sister, James?” Matt asked me but I knew he was just joking. And if not, what do I care?!
“I will call her now. Then you will see.” I grabbed my phone and called Romy.
“Yooo.. Romy, my dear. I need your help honey. Would you like to join me for shopping for the party tomorrow at Matt and Val’s place?! What you didn’t know about the party. Your brother really sucks not telling you until now.. Damn him! AUAAA.. Matt stop throwing things at me” I yelled at Matt after he had thrown his shoe my way.
“You just said we make a party how could I have told her about it before now?!” Matt yelled.
“Jimmy? Are you still there?” Romy asked through the phone.
“Yeah, so I will pick you up in an hour, ok?”
“Jup, see you.” She hung up.

I picked Romy up and she was on the phone.
“Ok, then see you tomorrow. Yeah, at 7. Ok, great. Bye!” She hung up.
“Who was that? Tomorrow is the party. You have to come.” I was pouting now.
She grabbed my cheeks with both hands and pushed them together, “Oh Jimmy. I know and I already have a date for tomorrow.”
She let go of my face, “I thought I would be your date?!”
“Ah… Jimmy..You know that you just have to snap you finger and I would be yours…”
“Ohh Romy.. Romy.. !” We always joked like that she was my closest friend and the guys as well.
After shoving everything I thought necessary into the shopping cart and Romy trying to put the not so necessary thing back out again we finally sat in my car again.
Romy was looking at her phone, “Hi, tell me what’s wrong?”
“I.. Jimmy.. you are my closest friend. And you are like my brother, right?! I can talk to you about everything, or?!”
“Sure, honey. I won’t judge you. I am not your brother by blood but I am your brother by heart. You can always tell me what is going on in your pretty little head…”
“Thank you Jimmy, you always say the right things. But I think I am not ready yet. But I will come if I find the strength.”
I kissed her forehead and drove her home. What was on her mind that she couldn’t tell me about?!
