Just Like Old Times
Vanessa's POV*
I sat there waiting for my boyfriend and daughter to come home. The rest was nice but I needed them here so I can rest comfortably. I decided to get up and clean a bit. The kitchen was a bit of a mess, besides I needed to keep occupied. I put the stereo on full blast and started listening to some Pantera. I loved Pantera, my dad took me to one of their concerts when I was younger. It just so happens to be one of my favorite memories with him. I sighed at the thought of my dad. I shouldn't have acted that way towards him specifically. At least he introduced her to me insead of running off and then sending a wedding invitation like my child-like mother. Too much stress to think about these things. I needed a drink or two. To answer my prayers, my cellphone started ringing. I was hoping it was Zacky telling me he's going to come home but a very much needed person was calling me instead. Val.
"You called at just the right time." I said answering the phone.
"My girl time senses were tingling." She laughed.
"Yes, girl time definitely needed. Its a nice day so I was thinking bring a swim suit and we can BBQ and drink some margaritas?" I said with a smile.
"I'll be there in twenty tops." She said.
"Perfect! That gives me time to fix up the kitchen ad pull out something to eat. I'll see you in twenty. I'll leave the door unlocked too so just come right in." I happily said and then hung up the phone so I could start cleaning.
Once again, I blasted the stereo on high and began cleaning. I felt calm and collected right now. Plus, I haven't drank in a very long time. My body got a tingly feeling at the thought of having alcohol in its system again. Hopefully Zacky doesn't mind. I should probably call him. I lowered the music and dialed in Zacky's number on my phone.
"Hey baby. Did you get some rest?" He answered the phone.
"Yeah. Thanks for that by the way babe. I needed it." I said to him.
"No problem babe, plus you know how the guys are with Jaymee. They love their niece." He laughed. I could hear jimmy in the background singing to her about ducks. Classic Jimmy.
"Oh yeah I know. Well I called to let you know that Val is coming over and were going to drink." I told him.
"Yeah, she just told us." He laughed.
"If the guys want to come over when you guys are done doing whatever, that'll be fine. I was thinking BBQ day. Yes?" I said hoping he'd catch onto the fact that he needs to come BBQ.
"Of course babe, I'll be home soon. We're about to play some Call Of Duty." He laughed. "Have fun with Val till then. She said she'll be leaving soon."
"Alright baby. I got to finish cleaning up. I love you." I said.
"I love you too." He replied and then we both hung up.
A few hours later*
Me and Val have been lounging in the pool for god knows how long. My hands are all pruny looking right about now. I got out of the pool and went to grab my towel. Out of nowhere someone came and swooped me up and tossed me back into the pool, towel and all. When I resurfaced, I looked to see who did it. Sure enough, Brian was laughing his ass off by the pool. Vengeance shall be mine. I gave him an evil glare and he pretended to be scared then laughed some more.
"Ooooh Vanessa Vengeance is so scary." He mocked.
"Just wait Bri, just wait." I smiled devilishly.
The rest of the guys came out and crowded around the pool. Without hesitation Jimmy jumped in with his clothes on. He's probably going to regret that later but I'm sure he doesn't care. Zacky was holding Jaymee in his arms, so naturally I gravitated towards them. Zacky handed Jaymee over to me and she smiled. She was so gorgeous it scared me. And she's only a baby, imagine wen she's older? I shuddered and the thought.
Me and Val moved our little girl party into the kitchen also having Jaymee with us in her baby swing. The guys stayed outside cooking the food and drinking some beers. We called up Michelle and the other girls to join us too. Of course they said yes cause 1. the guys were here and 2. Jaymee was here. It's nice to know all these peple love and care for her. I smiled and stared out the window as I watched Zacky cook. He would catch me staring but I didn't turn away. My stare was broke by the sound of the girls showing up. The three of them piled in with drinks and liquor and even some toys for Jaymee. I was happy. She loved every single toy she got and I loved drinking so it was a win win.
Once Jaymee fell asleep after I fed her, I went and laid her down in her room. Everybody had migrated to the backyard. I figured now would be the best time to get my revenge on Brian. I snuck out through the doors and crept up behind him. All the guys were right next to the pool looking at some lights in there so it worked out perfectly. One quick motion and SPLASH! Brian was in the pool. Everyone started laughing.
"Didn't think I'd get you back huh?" I gloated.
"Very nicely played Nessa." Brian said as he started laughing.
Just then, everyone started getting pushed into the pool. Zacky wrapped his arms around my waist and then he jumped in with me. All in all, today was a good day. I needed this. It was just like old times.
