Athena smiled at her new pet. Ruby and Jimmy were watching movies in the movie room while Athena sat in the living room, playing with the ferret.

“Your name shall be……Peach.” She smiled and pet Peach softly.

“Did you find a name?” Matt asked sitting next to her on the couch.

Athena nodded, “Peach.”

He snorted, “That’s a stupid name. Why didn’t you name it Carpet Shark or something like that?”

“Your face is stupid.” She snapped and picked up the book that was on the counter.

“Can I have another ferret?”

“What?” Matt asked.

“This book says that you should get two so that when I’m sleeping or something, they’ll have someone to play with.” She informed him.

Matt sighed, “Fine. What color?”

“I don’t care. Just pick a cute one, a boy.” She replied a bit confused at why he gave in so easily.

“And you have to get these.” Athena handed him the book that showed what you needed to take care of ferrets.

Matt smiled, “You got it.”

He took the book and walked out of the house.

Matt returned a few hours later with a gigantic cage, food, toys, and anotherferret

Once he got through the door Athena rushed over and squealed with excitement at the box with holes. Matt shut the door and carried the cage up to their room. He shoved everything off of his desk and set the cage on top then put in the food, newspaper, toys, and water. Athena set Peach inside then shut the door before taking the box from Matt.

“It’s a boy. Like him?” Matt asked with hope in his eyes.

“Aw I love him. He’s so cute!” She picked up the ferret and kissed it on the nose.

“What are you gonna name this one? Orange?” Matt snickered.

“I dunno. What do you think?” Athena asked, feeling as if it was years ago when they were together.

“Hm. I like Ferret Bueller.” Matt grinned.

Athena giggled but shook her head no.

“Limp.” Matt smiled down at the small creature.

“Limp.” Athena thought it over then nodded.

She petted Limp then held it in front of Matt’s face.

“Give Limp as kiss!” She spoke in a sing song voice.

Matt smiled and gave Limp a small kiss. Athena kissed Limp then put it in the cage with Peach. Peach and Limp interacted in a possitive way.

“Aw love at first sight.” Athena smiled.

“Yeah.” Matt nodded, not taking his eyes off her.

Athena and Matt watched the ferrets for a while. Well actually Athena watched, Matt just kept his eyes on Athena. On the outside Athena was ignoring his stares, but on the inside she was blushing like mad. Matt used to give her his full attention almost all of the time. She was falling for him again, even if she didn’t want to admit it. She was.

Matt was about to say something but he was cut off by the front door slamming and someone yelling, “Shadz! We got a problem!”
