Indestructabe Part 2: Realizing What I've Done
3 Years Later
Meg, my wonderful miracle baby is turning 3 in 2 days and I finally had enough money to move back to California and get my own place. I checked online and found a wonderful place next to the beach and it was really close to Matt's house. I bought the house and we would be leaving right after Meg's birthday party. I already had everything packed and waiting to be carried out to the car.
~~~~~~~~~~2 DAYS LATER~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is my little girl's birthday! I already had the cake in the fridge and the presents hid from her. Andy was going to be over in a few minutes and I was just putting the finishing touches on her birthday dinner. There was a knock at the door and I put the food down on the table, opened the door and revealed Andy.
"Come on in. I'll put the ice cream in the freezer." I said taking the ice cream from her and put it into the freezer. I finished putting the plates on the table and called for the girls to come and eat. We all sat down at the table and ate the delicious food.
After dinner, we went into the living room to let Meg open her presents. To see her little face glow with excitement was pure joy. She hugged Andy and I with a smiling face. When she was finished opening gifts, Andy and I went into the kitchen to do the dishes and talk.
"You know I'm going to miss you and Meg something awful."
"I know but don't worry. I'll fly you out there one day." I said smiling.
"I hope so! Damn it's going to feel so strange without you here."
"I know right." I said washing the dishes. Andy dried them and put them into a box. We soon were done and she helped me carry them out to the car. I picked up Meg and her things, carrying her down to the car. I gave my apartment keys to Andy to give to the landlord for me and hugged her one last time. I got into the car and punched in the address on my GPS and was on our way to California.
