Erin’s P.O.V

I pulled away from Matt’s chest trying to think of anyone and everyone we could get but Papa Gates came over to me and shook his head.

“Erin… she is expecting you… if you bring more than just us… then she is most likely not going to spare Hannah or everyone else… it will get really ugly really fast.

“But we have to take her down! I can’t risk it either way!” I said nearly shouting.

“LISTEN ERIN! You are putting her in more danger bringing a small fucking army rather than just us! DON’T LET SARAH GET INSIDE YOUR HEAD!” He shouted at me while holding my arm.

“Stop it! This is my bestfriend we are talking about!” I screamed.

“SHE IS CLOUDING YOUR JUDGMENT! Look at me Erin for fuck sakes!” Brian yelled at me and my gaze shot his way as tears fell again and he just sighed.

“You love Hannah I get that, but my father is right Erin… you have to be careful… just us is enough to set her off, we have no idea what she has in store but we could all get killed on the spot if we were gonna bring a mass amount of people. I am intervening because I love you too much to let you make that mistake” Brian said coming over to me and stroking my cheek. I sighed and hugged him and looked up right into his brown eyes and he smiled.

“Alright I wanna ride with Papa Gates and Brian and we will meet at least a block away from the location in exactly one hour… I have something that I have to do first” I said smiling a little. The boys grabbed their stuff and I hopped in the SUV waiting for Papa Gates and Brian. They pulled out and about half way down the road I just looked at Brian and handed the paper with the address that I needed to go to first on it and he smiled.

“So you gonna tell me where we are going?” Brian asked and I just laughed.

“Just trust me” I said simply… nobody needed to know what was going on. It was meant to be kept totally to the three of us… for Hannah’s sake. About an hour and ten minutes later we were a block away from the warehouse that Sarah had taken my sister into and I pulled a gun from the trunk and handed it to Brian and he just looked confused since he already had one.

“When I give you the signal you better give me that gun” I said and he kissed me and I sat there taking a breath while Papa Gates and Jimmy scoped out the area. Johnny was trying to use the thermal but he quickly realized that Sarah most likely jammed everything incoming to the building. I took my jacket off and sat there in my black jeans and black tank top and I put my knives in the back seat and then pulled up my hair.

“You are going in with no weapons?” Matt asked trying to give me my knives and I just shook my head and Papa Gates just pushed his arms down.

“She needs to be able to defend herself” Matt stated again being very stern and straight forward and I just sighed.

“I cant go in there with a weapon Matt that means that I am threatening her and that means that I will be gone before we can even get Hannah out of there and both of us know that we need her out… we both love her” I said to Matt and then before telling everyone to group together I started walking holding them back until I was at least halfway. I got closer to the building and I could see snipers on the roof and I smiled.

“COME ON OUT SARAH I KNOW YOU ARE THERE” I yelled and put my arms above my head like I was gonna give in or something and Sarah came walking out with a man who was carrying Hannah by the hair and he stopped right near the entrance.

“So glad that my beautiful little sister could make it to her going away party” Sarah said laughing and I could see Hannah’s hand twitch a little bit and I just looked back at Sarah trying to keep calm despite the fact that she was holding my bestfriend and my partner over there.

“Why cant you just let her go? Why cant you ever just realize that none of this was my intention?” I asked her trying not to cry and go into a numb state of mind right now and remember the training that my father gave me when I was growing up.

“I want you to suffer Erin!” She yelled at me and I just was done completely in every single way.

“I HAVE!!! I still am! I die inside every single god damn day thinking about mom and dad!! Isnt that enough to know that there is always gonna fucking be a part of me that is numb and broken you stupid fucking bitch!? And YOU… you were supposed to be family… be that girl that shared with me… that gave me half her sandwich… NOT THIS” I shouted and was unable to fucking process through it anymore… she wanted me to suffer… I will suffer for Hannah just so I can help her live.

“It would help if you didn’t suck up to them all the fucking time! I never got a damn thing out of them!! What good did this fucking do for me! Do you fucking care that I fucking suffered Erin!! That seeing you as a reflection of them makes me suffer!?” She screamed and I walked a little closer minding the fact that there was a bunch of guns on me.

“I don’t want you to see them… I want you to see me… your sister… the only person you have left… if you would have just asked I would have split with you… now give me Hannah and we can end this” I said to her and she sat there for a moment and motioned for the man to bring up Hannah and Matt ran up trying to get past me and I grabbed him and shoved him to the ground.

“ERIN COME ON I NEED HER!” Matt screamed and was crying and I looked back at Brian and I just cried a little and Papa Gates grabbed him and pulled all of the men back to the car but Brian ran over and kissed me deeply and just did not want to leave.

“Zack, Jimmy and Johnny need to go… there are too many people here” I said to Brian shaking a little bit and he pulled Matt up and they backed up quite a bit to give me space to do what I need to do. I looked over and Hannah had her head up and was slightly smiling at Matt.

“Name your price” I said to Sarah and she just looked at me raising her eyebrow.

“You stay… she goes… we deal with this… no men… no Hannah… no help” She said and I just sat there and grabbed out my burner phone that I just got, threw it to the ground and stomped on it and walked up to the guy holding Hannah and grabbed her meeting Matt only half way.

“NO” Brian said loudly and I just sat there and sighed.

“Tell your men to get their guns off me Sarah… you want me without help then you better not have any help either now do it” I said and Sarah snapped her fingers and Papa Gates nodded as they disappeared.

“Shall we Erin” Sarah said and I knew she was giving me that evil grin and I just closed my eyes for a moment and right after Hannah and Matt went to the car I flipped Brian off and he chuckled throwing me the gun and I cocked it and just as I turned Sarah and I both took a shot at each other the tone deafening all of us. I looked down at my left side and I slowly looked up at Sarah who was already being pulled away after being shot at and I grabbed my scope and shot at the two men on the roof and backed away.

“WE GOTTA GO E!” Brian said running to the car and I ran inside of the warehouse trying to find Sarah but as I heard the tires screech I knew that once again she was gone. Papa Gates ran in as I looked at Sarah’s operation room.

“Well you didn’t die” He said and I coughed a little and rubbed my lip seeing the crimson that dripped down it and I spit and turned around and held my side.

“I think im gonna need some help” I said laughing and he just ran over and put my arm around him and carried me out to the SUV putting me in the back area and I covered up my wound with
jacket and wiped off the blood from my mouth.

“You okay E?” Matt asked and Brian looked back.

“Im fine… she still breathing?” I asked and they both nodded and I looked at Hannah.

“Then we did our job” I said and looked up at the rearview mirror where Papa Gates looked incredibly disappointed that I was not only keeping secrets but hiding the wound…
