Hannah’s P.O.V
I’d been so exhausted by the time I got to Cali, then the taxi ride from the airport to the new house tired me out even more, mainly because I was on high alert, I hated riding in a taxi, they freaked me out.
After Erin and I retreated to our bedrooms I was too tired to care about unpacking, I could do that tomorrow. I’d only managed to change into a superman tank top and red short shorts before collapsing onto the bed and falling asleep.
My eyes fluttered open and I realised that it was only 4am and I still had a few more hours to sleep before I would actually have to wake up. But I was restless and wasn’t going to get back to sleep, stupid jet lag, it looked like it was going to take me some time to get used to the time difference.
I climbed out of bed, not actually remembering getting into it in the first place. I flicked on the lamp next to my bed and searched for my box that would have all of my tech stuff in it and pulled out my laptop, there was no way I was leaving that behind. I sat back on my bed and switched it on, logging in, connecting to the new internet router in this house and loading all my necessary web pages. I decided to look through my photos while I was waiting for everything to load, and immediately I started to cry my eyes out as I scrolled through the pictures. Some were of me and my friends from back home, family too, but the ones that were killing me were the ones of me and my boyfriend… I mean, ex-boyfriend. Andrew.
“Are you sure you want to marry me some day?” He whispered in my ear as we lay naked in his bed “I’m pretty fucked up babe, I’m a lot to handle,”
“Please,” I chuckled “I’ve been handling you for over a year now, I know you inside and out,” I whispered, pressing a soft kiss to his lips “So yes, I’m sure that I want to marry you some day,”
“Alright then, I’ll hold you to that, so if you say no when I make an arse of myself when I’m down on one-“
“I’m not going to say no,” I laughed.
I quickly wiped the tears away from my face and closed down the pictures, I couldn’t look at them anymore, I had to give myself time to heal before I could look at them again, to delete them of course. But I couldn’t stop thinking about the last conversation we ever had.
Andrew turned up at my house, furious and upset, it was obvious he had been crying and drinking too, he reeked of beer and he was demanding that I stay with him.
“Hannah please!” He pleaded, grabbing my hand as I was packing another box of my things “Stay with me, I love you!”
“If you loved me you would be coming with me! We talked about this, we were going to go to America together,” I yelled.
“We were going to tour America together, not go over there to live, I have too much here, I can’t just leave,” He snapped, sitting down on my bed and crying into his hands.
“But not coming means you’re going to lose me,”
After scrolling blankly through Tumblr and messaging a few friends and my mum on Facebook I decided that it was a decent time to get out of bed and make some breakfast, it was the least I could do, maybe show Erin something about this Scottish lass.

I shrugged my red hoodie on, the one that was three sizes too big for me, over my tank and shorts and ran down the stairs, quietly so that I didn’t wake Erin, I wanted her to wake to the smell of an amazing breakfast.
“What is that amazing smell?” She asked as she descended the stairs and walked into the kitchen in her sleepwear, joining me in our comfort with each other already.
“A fry up,” I said matter of factly.
“What the fuck is a fry up?” She asked, sitting at the breakfast bar in front of me while I slid the plate in front of her and watched closely for her reaction.
“A fried egg, beans, two different kinds of sausage, black pudding and a potato scone,” I told her and laughed when she looked at me as though I was insane “Yes, I brought it all with me, and more, because I’m a very fussy eater,” I laughed.
“What is in this?” She asked, as she chewed on black pudding “It’s giving me a total foodgasm,”
“You’d spit it back out if I told you,” I chuckled as I tucked into my breakfast

The first week living here went amazingly, E and I spent every day together, we shopped, we redecorated our bedrooms, we bonded even more, we both got jobs at Johnny’s bar by the beach and I got a car of my own so that Erin wouldn’t have to do all of the driving.
I was driving down PCH singing along to Metallica’s All Nightmare Long, thinking about the fanfic Erin and I wrote together about Avenged Sevenfold, man, they were some sexually arousing
men.
I came to a stop light and did what I was supposed to and stopped, but the ass in the Charger behind me didn’t and rammed right into the back of my car, doing some damage I guessed. I cut the engine and jumped out the car, noticing that the other driver did too.
“You fucking moron, what are you? BLIND?!” I roared, my Scottish accent sounding even thicker when I shouted.
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going, I’ll pay for all of the damage, I’ll show you the best body shop out here where you can get it-“
“Damn fucking right you’ll pay for all of the damage, do I look like I have a lot of money to you?!”
“You look pretty damn beautiful to me,” He said and that’s when I recognized the voice. I looked up at the man and my jaw dropped. Those shades, that bandana and cap, those muscles and tattoos.
“Holy shit,” I whispered.
“Something wrong?”
“You’re M fucking Shadows,”
I had to tell E about this, so I slipped my new phone out of my pocket and texted her.
YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME RIGHT NOW! – Hannah.
“Would you like me to take you there now…”
“Hannah,” I smiled, holding my hand out for him to shake, which he did.
“A beautiful name, and if I’m right, and I think I am, you’re from Scotland?”
“That I am,” I smiled, my flirty side already coming out, God damnit Hannah, get your shit together.

Matt’s P.O.V
My plan was already working, I knew she could be mine as soon as I wanted her. Given that she was clearly a fan by her choice of t-shirt today, the look she was giving me and her current mess of a break up, I could have her in the back of my car in the middle of the road, but, I had to hold off, I needed to wait until she was almost begging for me, and she would be, once her life started falling apart.
I watched her slip out her phone and send a text, no doubt to her best friend/house mate, so I texted Zack to let him know my current situation with the fiery haired Scott.
“Would you like me to take you there now…” I trailed off, I couldn’t say her name because she hadn’t told me it yet.
“Hannah,” She smiled widely at me, holding out her hand for me to shake, so I did kindly.
"A beautiful name, and if I'm right, which I think I am, you're from Scotland?"
"That I am,"
Good God I wanted her, I wanted to ravish her, right here, right now, I think she'd die if she knew what I was thinking about though. Patience Matthew.
She climbed back into her car, I into mine before pulling out in front of her so she could follow me to my good friend’s auto shop where he could fix her car, of course I was paying for it, I could pay for everything her heart desired if it meant she would be mine.
