Zacky woke me up next morning when he jumped in his sleep.
“Hmm?” I opened my eyes lazily and looked at him.
“Fuck, I need to get dressed and go back to the house before they find out I’m gone.” He said as he stood up to put on his boxers and jeans. I sat up straight looking for my clothes too. I found my bra and panties putting them on, followed by the t-shirt and jeans. We were fully dressed in no time. Zacky went to the door of the barn and stopped to look back at me. I scratched the back of my head.
“Umm so…what are we gonna do? You know, about all this?” I asked. He thought about it for a moment before speaking.
“I’ll come back later and we’ll think about it okay? For now let me get to the house and pretend I was in my room.” He chuckled.
“Oh…okay.” I said.
He opened the door and left, locking it from the outside. I sighed and sat down against a wall.Great, another boring day all by my own… Where was Amanda? I remember zacky telling me they kept her in the attic; I wonder if she’s still there. I really wanted her here; at least we made company to each other.
An hour or so passed by with me lying down, just looking at the cracks on the ceiling. It seemed to be a nice, warm day outside since bright rays of light were passing through those cracks. I heard the door unlock so I sat up straight. It opened and motherfucker entered with Amanda by his side…holding hands. Wait, what?! I looked again to see if it was a misunderstanding, but they were surely holding hands. Ok, what the fuck is going on here? I looked at her, and she blushed. He whispered something in her ear, and then left, locking the door again.
She smiled at me before sitting by my side.
“Hey.”
“Hi. How are you?” she asked looking at me.
I sighed, “well, other than being trapped in this barn for two whole weeks with no human interaction, nothing, really…oh, and having sex with zacky.” I told her simply. She snapped her head in my direction, her eyes becoming wide open in shock.
“WHAT?!” I snickered.
“Yeah…last night he came here and well, it happened.” I explained, blushing a little. Amanda’s open mouth became a smirk and she poked me on the ribs.
“Way to go, girl, you finally have him!” we both laughed but then I became serious again. “Well, I’m not so sure about that.”
“Huh? Why not?”
“For starters, cause shadows wouldn’t be pleased if he knew that zacky has something for me, though I think he already does…any ways, also because last night he told me he wasn’t sure about anything.” I said and Amanda frowned.
“What do you mean he isn’t sure about anything?”
“Well, he isn’t sure if he really feels something for me or not.” I explained.
"What? Oh my god, that’s pure and utter bullshit!” she shouted with anger. I sighed and looked down.
“I know but what can I do? I also got mad at him and kind of said the same thing but he’s really stubborn. He’s like a little kid.”
She shook her head and rolled her eyes, “I can’t believe his acting this way, I mean, he totally knows he feels something for you. You’re just not simply confused, you either don’t wanna accept it or….you just don’t wanna accept it!” she babbled making me snicker. “You have to talk with him and make him confess, you listen to me?” she said, pointing at me. “Yes, mother.”
“Hey!” she punched me jokingly and we both laughed.
After a few seconds of silence, I remembered something.
“So you and Brian, huh?” I smirked and nudged her. She instantly blushed, and looked away.
“What? No, what are you talking about?” she said nervously.
“Oh c’mon, you won’t fool me. I saw you two coming in hand in hand.” I said. She bit her lip and looked at me, trying not to smile.
“Oh, alright I feel something for him, okay?!” she said and covered her face with both hands. I gasped,
“Oh my god, I knew it!” I said and poked her, making her jump a little. “C’mon, I wanna know everything!” I said. A nostalgic feeling invaded me and I remembered how I used to be with my friends back in high school.
Amanda blushed harder and looked away again.
“I think it all started after shadows took you away and then you decided to escape. I always knew he had some kind of… obsession towards me,” she used air quotes when she said obsession “but I thought it was just that; a simple obsession, nothing more. And he proved me wrong…” she said, her face looked like a tomato. If you asked me, it was sick but sweet at the same time. Just like you with zacky. That little voice said. I shook the thought away and focused on Amanda again.
“And?” I pressured.
“Well, when shadows took you to that other place I stayed here all alone, and Brian’s visits became more frequent. But they weren’t only to have sex with me; he sometimes just sat here and talked with me. At the beginning it was weird and I had the feeling he was gonna take out a knife and kill me at any moment. But after a few times of him doing the same thing I realized he was not gonna do that.” She sighed and then continued. “So yeah, it started like that, and he sometimes took me to his room, without anyone knowing, of course, and you know, I guess that’s how it happened.” She finished and smiled goofily. I chuckled and poked her.
“Oh, so you’re his girl now, huh? Way to go, girl!” I smirked and she laughed.
“Well, I’m still not sure if he considers me his girl, but if he does I won’t complain.”
“Oh, c’mon of course he does! And if he doesn’t he’s a total douche bag.” I said and she chuckled.
For some reason (which was actually kind of obvious) I felt a small hint of jealousy running through me when Amanda told me her current situation with Brian. Why couldn’t Zacky act that way? At this point I seriously couldn’t give less of a fuck about what could happen next. What I wanted right now was for him to confess, and I was gonna make him do it, even if that meant switching sides.
