Next morning I woke up on the floor, just in the same spot from last night. I looked around; the mess I had left was still there. I sat up straight, and looked up at the ceiling, where some little rays of sunlight were peeking from the cracks.
“What time is it?” I asked out loud. The door unlocked and opened, and matt came inside. “Stand up.” he ordered. I glared at him, but did as he said. He took my arm and dragged me out of the barn, into the house and into his office.
He closed the door behind me, and sat me down in one of the chairs that were in front of his desk. He sat down in his chair, now looking at me with a serious face.
“Uh…” I mumbled. What’s going on? Is it because of the broken bowl of soup? “w-what’s going on?” I finally asked.
Shadows sighed and leaned back in his chair.
“Well, I’m kind of…concerned about something.” He said. My heart skipped a beat. Shit, what did I do now? I gulped, and waited silently for him to continue. “I need you to tell me something, dear. Do you…like vengeance?” he quirked an eyebrow.
My eyes got wide open, and my mouth became a thin line. Should I tell him that maybe I do like zacky? Or should I lie?
“uh…” I couldn’t find the words. If I told him the truth chances were I wouldn’t survive for tonight. But if I lied chances were…that I wouldn’t survive for tonight. Wow, such a great amount of options. I sighed, “Well, let’s say I kind of developed some sort of feeling for him.” I whispered; I couldn’t find my voice completely. My heart was pounding in my chest, I was seriously afraid of what he was going to do to me.
Matt just looked at me with those penetrating hazel eyes, not saying a word. He was making me feel uncomfortable; I didn’t know if I should look at him or look away. “um…” I mumbled. He suddenly moved, making me jump on my seat a little. I think I’ve never been so scared about matt until now.
“Gates!” he shouted loudly, and seconds later motherfucker appeared.
“What?” he asked in a dull tome.
“Take Ginger to the barn, and please tell vengeance to come up here for a second. I need to talk to him.” My heart skipped a beat for the billionth time that day. Fuck, what would he tell zacky? This can’t be good. Gates came closer and took my arm, dragging me out of the office.
On our way to the barn, we passed the living room where zacky was, watching TV. Brian stopped all of a sudden, making me bump into him. He ignored this, and just did what Shadows had told him to.
“Vengeance,” he said, and zacky turned his head to look at him. Then his eyes landed on me, and his facial expression changed from a blank one, to a most concerned one. I suppose I must’ve had a worried look on my face at that moment. “Shadows needs to talk to you. He’s in his office.” Zacky looked at Brian again.
“Uh…o-okay.” He answered unsure, and stood up, walking towards the stairs. Brian pulled on my arm again, and we began moving in the opposite direction from zacky. I turned my head to look at him, and forced a smile on my face as an attempt to make him relax a little, but I guess it really didn’t work. He just frowned in confusion, before going upstairs. Fuck! We left the house, and into the barn where Brian left me, locked. Alone again.
I looked at the broken bowl, the shattered pieces still laying at the same place. I sighed, and thanked heaven and hell that Brian didn't notice it...for now, at least.
