Forgotten Faces

Heather´sPOV

Zacky took me by the arm and led me outside to the pool area.
He introduced me to a couple of other people, way too many names to memorize.
They changed my drink while I was looking behind my back to see why Mia and Brian were taking so long?!
“I don´t see Matt… I think he just went inside to see where Brian´s at but well.. Matt would be the host today…” Zacky was talking to me so I nodded.
“So who did we miss to introduce… Oh I know... hey... Jimmy… meet…”
“HEATHER is that you?” I heard the voice which was in some way familiar I turned to the side and saw Jimmy. I haven´t forgotten about him even if it was more than 6 years ago…
Jimmy came to me and hugged me so tight I couldn´t breathe.
If Jimmy was here, was the host Matt then… that couldn´t be? Could it… oh shit…
“I need to find Mia!” I looked at Jimmy.
Jimmy just smiled “Mia is here too?? That is so cool let´s go inside and find her! Oh wow I thought I would never see you again... I´m so sorry I lost you number and…”

Matt´s POV

I went inside when I heard that Brian and his girl should have arrived. I have seen everybody but him and his girl.
Through the glass doors of my terrace I saw him standing in the hall with his girl by his side. I couldn´t make out her features so I went over to him. In that moment Brian picked her up and was starting to get up the stairs.
“Hey… yo Brian… hold on… What do you think you are doing?” I called to him.
He stopped but didn’t turn around. “I´ll have some fun with my beautiful girl…” Brian smiled down at the girl. I still couldn´t see her.
“You cannot even introduce her to us first. I haven´t met her. Come on, it will take only 5 min. then you`ve got her all to yourself you selfish ass.”
I could see that Brian was struggling with himself. Then he turned around and I could see her, I smiled at the girl and then I really saw her face and the smile fell from my face.
“Matt this is Mia… Mia this is Matt… that´s it. Introduction is made. Goodbye!”
He started to climb the steps again. “WAIT!! You said Mia??” That couldn´t be true…
I ran towards him up the stairs to exactly where he was standing. Brian released her to her feet. And I saw her directly in front of me. I couldn’t help but stare. She was even more beautiful then I remembered.
“Is that really you Matt?” Her question was quiet. I just nodded my head and couldn´t help but pull her into my arms. “I can´t believe it. Mia… that is just…”
Brian looked at us totally confused. “You too know each other, well great then the introduction is even shorter… now would you please keep your hands to yourself and let us go…?!” I couldn’t say anything I just stared at her and she stared back. She had a small smile on her beautiful lips.
Then I heard the glass door slide open again. I heard Jimmy talking “Oh so you already met her isn´t it fantastic that they are here what a sensational surprise…” He had his arm around a small brunette I also recognized as Mia´s friend.
“What are you talking about… can someone tell me what the fuck is going on here?” Brian looked around to the people now standing in the hall.
“Well, when I got this right and we will get down to the basics Matt pretty much fucked your girlfriend before you did…!”
Jimmy gave Johnny a blow to the head. “Idiot!” Zacky elbowed him in the ribs “Shut up, Christ!”
“You did what? When… Mia please tell me what is going on…!” Brian looked at her for answers.

Mia´s POV

I couldn´t help but stare at him. That was really Matt standing in front of me and still holding my hands. His hair was even shorter then before and he got a lot of more tattoos on his strong arms.
I shook myself and then tried to answer Brian´s question.
“I was on a vacation trip in England about 6 years ago. And in a Bar I met him.”
I didn´t want to say more. It was so long ago and a little shock to see him again.
“Please Matt, tell me she is not who I think she is!” Brian stared at Matt in anger. I could see his thoughts running wild. I didn´t know how much Matt had talked about ‘the fling’ but I hoped now that I wasn´t too much.
“Fuck… Matt!! Tell me now!!” Brian nearly screamed at him.
“Yes, your girlfriend is my affair from England. And yes she is who you think she is.”
Whatever that meant?!
“Fuck… you are the girl from the Elevator?” Brian looked at me in question. He looked disappointed. My cheeks grew red when I thought about the incident in the elevator but how did Brian know?!
I looked at Matt in question had he told everything we had done to his friends and was he bragging about it?! My stomach churns at this thought.
I heard Zacky in the distance, “Ok guys we give them a couple of minutes, let´s go back outside.” The whole group was now going outside again.
“He heard us. He wanted to take the Elevator and yeah well… he heard us.” Matt finally answered my thoughts.
That was even worst… he heard me having sex with his best friend. But it was 6 years ago and Brian was my boyfriend now. He will get over it, or?!
Brian still looked from Matt to me. He shook his head.
“I have to go. I need some time to think about this… I don’t know this is… I cannot...” He stuttered. I tried to grab his hand. But he just shook me off, “No, just… let me go!”

Now I was standing alone on the steps with Matt. He had still a grin on his face. “I still can´t believe that you are here. How are you? How have you been? And why didn´t you call me back?!”
Heather came back inside. “I heard a car leaving and wanted to see if everything is alright?!”
“No, nothing is right. He just left…”
“Come on we call a cab and drive home. He will call you tomorrow; this whole story was just a shock for him.” Heather tried to reason with me.
“I will drive you home. You don’t need to call a cab.” Matt suggested.
“No, I don’t think that would be a good idea.” I didn’t want to be too close to Matt.
“I will drive you home.” Jimmy was now standing behind Heather.
I nodded, “Thank you, Jimmy.”
