Chapter Seventeen
It's been a while since we went into the studio and talked about touring, I wasn't happy that Brayden wasn't coming with me but I'm not going to make her be unhappy. I guess she would be safe now with Hank and Lea in jail, and she wouldn’t be lonely with the girls around. I sighed and looked beside me, Brayden wasn’t there. I got up and heard music playing from downstairs, I walked down there and she was dancing in the living room with Payson in her arms, it was quite cute. I honestly can't believe that my daughter is a year old, sometimes it feels like Bray found out she was pregnant yesterday. Brayden spun in a circle and saw me and smiled. She pulled out a headphone.
“Morning.” She said
“Morning.” I said
She set Payson down in the baby cage and hugged me.
“How did you sleep?” She asked
“Like the dead.” I smiled
“That’s good. Are you hungry?” she asked
“Starved.” I said
She took my hand and led me into the kitchen, there was food setting out and I walked over and took a bite of some of it.
“Larry called.” She said
“What did Mr. Jacobson say?” I asked
“You guys leave October First.” She said
“Hmm that’s in a couple weeks.” I said
“Yep. I think the girls and I are going to hang out at the Sanders house after that.” She said
“Keep your mind off things?” I asked
“Yeah since this is the first time I’m not going to have you around for more than a week. Well that I actually safe” She said
“That’s right.” I said
She smiled and nodded
. “Promise me something.” She said
“What?” I asked
“Call me on my Birthday.” She said
“I’ll come home.” I said
“You’ll be in Kansas.” She said
“Oh. Then I promise.” I said
She kissed my chest and returned to the living room. I finished eating and went in there and she was asleep on the couch and Payson was asleep in the baby cage. I smiled and took Payson upstairs and put her in the crib, then I took Brayden up to our room and laid her down, I laid down as well and passed back out.
The weeks went by pretty fast and now I’m standing in the airport with the guys and their girls. All of the girls have tears in their eyes as our flight gets called.
“I love you Jimmy.” Brayden cried.'
“I love you too.” I said
“Be careful.” She said
“Careful is my middle name.” I smiled
I looked down at Payson in her arms and the little Barbie Band-Aid she has on her forehead from where she slammed it into the coffee table.
“I’ll call you whenever I can.” I said
Brayden nodded and I kissed her. She pulled away and the guys and I walked onto the plane.
“I’m literally the only one who’s been away from him girl for more than a week.” Matt said as we took our seats.
It was Matt, Zacky and Johnny in one row, Brian, Matt Berry and I behind them, Jason Berry and Larry behind us.
“That’s because you and Val have been together since the Dinosaurs were alive.” Larry said
Matt Berry laughed.
“Hey I was away from Brayden for three months.” I said
“I know.” Matt Sander said
“How’s it feel Sanders?” Brian asked
“To what?” He asked
“When you get home, your baby will be a month old.” I said
“It’s some scary shit.” He said
The plane took off and Jason passed out on Larry’s shoulder.
“He’s so pathetic.” Matt Berry said
I laughed.
“Where are we going first?” Johnny asked
“Colorado.” Larry said
“Then?” I asked
“Kansas and then we go to Michigan in November, also in November we hit North Carolina and Indiana. In the beginning of December we’re in Ohio. By Christmas we’ll be on a plane to Japan.” Larry said
“Wow.” Johnny said
“It’ll go by quick guys.” Matt said
“Remember guys, last time we were on a tour one of us got a girlfriend. Maybe this time the Berry bothers can find someone.” Brian said
“Hey.” Matt Berry said
I laughed and laid my head on the plane window.
“Morning.” She said
