Welcoming Me
I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes making them burn. I slowly opened them so I wouldn't get a killer migraine. I hated having migraines early in the morning. I sat up and looked around the spacious room. It was way bigger than the one that Meg and I shared. I got out of bed and opened the dresser and pulled out some clothes. I went into my own bathroom and took a shower. The hot water woke me up and I felt so refreshed when I stepped out. I got dressed and was brushing out my hair when I head a knock on the door. I set my brush down and went over to the door opening it to see Val.
"Hey I was coming to wake you up." she said and I stepped aside to let her in. She came in and sat down on my bed and I grabbed my pad with pencil.
"I was wondering if you would like to go shopping with me for your room?" she asked smiling.
~Sure.~
She reached into her purse and pulled out a cell phone, placing it in my hands.
"This is for you. You already have a few people's number in there. You have mine and Matt's, the rest of the band, and Meg and Britt's numbers." she said smiling and I smiled right back.
~Thanks. When are we going shopping?~
"Right now. Put your shoes on and meet me in the kitchen." she said and left my room. I grabbed my boots and slipped them on. I grabbed my Ipod and cell before heading out of my room closing the door behind me. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen to see Matt sitting at the bar drinking coffee. I walked over to him and sat down.
"Hey you're up awful early." he said drinking his coffee.
~Val is taking me shopping.~
"Oh Lord. She'll buy the whole store just for one room and person." he said rubbing his temples.
~Oh don't worry. I'll make sure she doesn't.~
I smiled and he ruffled my hair. I glared at him and he kindly fixed my hair back. He smiled and I shook my head. I wanted to tell him that he was cool but I wasn't ready to speak yet. I will soon though don't get me wrong. I'm just waiting for the right moment.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
~Yeah. Where's Val?~
"Getting ready. She takes so long to get ready. I think..." he said but was cut off by Val.
"No I don't." I turned and seen Val was standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips. Matt didn't turn around. I smiled and she smiled back.
"You ready?" she asked and I nodded. We left the house and drove to the nearest mall. Her phone rang and she answered it. I pulled out my phone and decided to text Meg.
~Hey this is Ame.~
~Hey Ame! This is Meg! How do you like your new home?~ Meg
~It's awesome! Wish you could see it. My room is huge and me and Val are going shopping for clothes and my room.~
~Sweet! I miss you so much.~ Meg
~I miss you too. How's Britt?~
~Britt died 3 days ago.~ Meg
~What? How?!~
~She had pheunomia and you know she can barely fight it off. Her body wouldn't let her fight it off this time and gave up on her. The funeral is next week on Friday. I mean that is if you want to come.~ Meg
~You know how I feel about funerals. I couldn't even go to my own parents.~
~I know but she would want you to come.~ Meg
~I can't Meg. Just sign my name to the book and send me one of those in memory of things. I'll give you my address when you get one for me.~
~Alright. I'll make sure to tell her goodbye for you. I got to run. Sister Lee doesn't know I have a phone and I'm afraid she'll take it from me.~ Meg.

We said our goodbyes and I shut my phone putting it in my pocket. Britt, my best friend, is gone. I won't be getting over this anytime soon. I will keep my hurt under wrap so no one will suspect anything.
"I was going to pick up some of my friends to go with us but they have something else to do so it's just going to be me and you." Val said and I nodded. We finally got to the mall and Val parked the car. When she cut the engine, I got out and she locked the doors behind us.
"Where to first? Clothes or Bedroom?" she asked putting her keys into her purse.
~Clothes.~
"Good choice. Where do you usually shop?" she asked as we walked into the building.
~Hot Topic.~
"You and Matt are so alike it's not even funny. When he goes shopping for clothes before a tour Hot Topic is where he heads." she said laughing. I just smiled.
~Yeah. He told me to make sure you don't buy the whole damn store.~
She rolled her eyes and I smiled wildly. We walked down to Hot Topic and looked around. I found me some more pants and t-shirts with band logos on them. I also found a skull and coffin ring. They were really awesome. I looked around some more and couldn't find anything else I wanted and I didn't want Val to pay too much for me since she was buying things for my bedroom. I looked at her with an arm load of clothes and she just smiled. She paid for everything and we walked out.
We went into a place full of different color bedroom suits. I really liked 3 so she bought them. One was a neon green with black swirls on the comforter and sheets and the others were either all black or all red. She paid for the sets and we headed back out to the car. I was beat from all the walking and hungry at the same time. My stomach growled loudly and she noticed.
"You hungry?" she said and I nodded.
"How does McDonald's sound?" she said and I nodded rapidly. She laughed and began driving towards a Micky D's. When we got there, we went inside to eat. I had the feeling of being stared at but I paid no mind to it.
"What do you want?" she asked. I looked over the menu and found what I wanted.
~Number 3 combo with fries and a chocolate shake.~
She smiled and ordered for us. We got our food and sat down and began to eat. The burger was so delicious and the fries were excellent! My shake was orgasmic! We finished and threw our trash away and headed out to the car. She unlocked the door and I hopped in the passenger seat. She started driving and when we about home, she spoke.
"I know you've only been here a short time but we are having a barbecue at the house at 6. So when we get there can you help me clean after we take your things to your room?" she asked and I nodded.
"Good because Matt and I have some people we want you to meet." she said smiling as she pulled into the driveway. I was taking in everything that was going on. I was adopted by a good family and I was going to meet the rest of the band. I was so excited inside and couldn't help to let a smile creep across my face. I grabbed my bags out of the car and we headed up to my room. I set my things down on the bed and followed Val back downstairs. We stood in the living room and I looked at her.
"Alright. I'm going to be doing the kitchen and the hall bathroom. You can do this area and outside on the patio. The vacuum is in the closet next to the stairs and the broom is already outside." she said and I nodded. She disappeared into the kitchen and I got out the vacuum from the closet and began to vacuuming.
I finished the whole room and down the hall in record time and it was so clean. I put the vacuum away and went out the sliding glass door and began sweeping. I seen the pool and I was getting terrified. I didn't like water for some odd reason. I guess it was because I didn't know how to swim. I finished sweeping off the patio and went back into the house and stood in the doorway to see Val Marinating steaks. I have never had steaks before and I hope its good. She turned around to clean off the counter top and seen me standing there.
"You need something?" she asked smiling. I motioned with my hand for something to drink. She went to the fridge and brung me a soda and I smiled.
"Let's see it's.." she looked at her phone,"5:30. Go talk a shower and when you're dressed and ready text me." she said and I nodded. I headed up to my room and closed the door behind me. I got me out some clothes and went into the bathroom. I stripped my clothes and stepped into the shower. The hot water relaxed me so much from running around all day and hopefully there wont be any problems.
I got out of the shower and dressed. I brushed my hair out and say there on my bed looking through the bags for my 2 rings. I found them and put them on. I brushed my hair once more and it was completely dry. I grabbed my phone and texted Val.
~I'm ready.~
~Good. I'm at the bottom of the stairs so come on down.~ Val
~Alright be there in a second.~
I shut my phone slipping it into my pocket. I grabbed my Ipod and put in the same pocket as my phone. I opened the door shutting it behind me and made my way down the stairs. I seen Val and she smiled.
"Ready to meet everyone?" she asked smiling and putting her arm around my shoulder. I nodded. She walked ahead of me and out the sliding glass door. I stayed behind her.
"One thing though. They don't shake hands. They hug." she said quietly and I nodded. We walked over to a group of 3 girls sitting around a patio table.
"Girls I would like you to meet Ame Sanders." Val said stepping aside leaving me out in the open. They all got up and hugged me just like Val said.
"Ame this is Lacy, Gena, and Leanna. That sour bitch over there is my sister Michelle." she said and the blonde looked over at me with disgust on her face. I bet she thought she was shit on a stick, which to me was a bunch of bullshit.
"This is Ame, Michelle." Gena said smiling. I think smiling is like a custom with these chicks I mean except for that Michelle chick.
"Ame? What kind of fucking name is that? What stupid idiot names their child that?" Michelle said harshly. That made me angry and I wanted to pop her right in the mouth for calling my dead parents idiots.
"Michelle! Do you have to be rude every time you meet someone?" Gena asked. Val could tell I was tensing up so she pushed me behind her.
"She looks disgusting! Val couldn't you get someone as sexy and good looking as me?" Michelle said.
"What? Michelle, looks aren't everything and besides I don't want my daughter looking like a whore." Val said with anger.
"Are you calling me a whore?" Michelle said angry right back.
"No but I am saying you dress like one." Val said honestly. I walked around Val and stood beside her.
"Whatever." Michelle said walking off and sitting back where she was before.. I knew the apologies would be rolling in so I went ahead and wrote down my answer.
"I'd like to apologize on the behalf of Michelle. She thinks she is shit on a stick and that she's god's gift to man." Leanna said and I showed her my Ipod.

"Sorry Leanna but she doesn't talk." Val explained and showed me where I could sit. I sat down with Val on my left and Gena on my right. Matt came up and pulled me out of my seat and basically dragged me over to where a group of guys were.
"I'd like you to meet some people. Guys this is Ame." Matt said and they all got up and stood in front of me.
"I'm Zacky and this is Brian, Johnny, and Jimmy." Zacky said extending his hand for me to shake. I did and the rest of the guys hugged me. I remembered what Val said and I wasn't too afraid. Johnny's hug was just about as tight as Jimmy's and Zacky's. Brian wrapped his strong arms around me and I felt someone pull him away from me. I looked and seen Michelle. I just rolled my eyes.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing touching this nasty thing!" she spat at Brian. My blood began to boil once again.
"Michelle I'm just trying to be nice. Goddamn why do you even care? I mean one minute you want me and the next you don't want to have anything to do with me." Brian said.
"My daughter is not a nasty bitch!" Matt said defending me.
"She's not your daughter! She's just some bastard child her parents didn't want anymore!" Michelle spat and she pushed me over the line. I couldn't keep my mouth from opening or my fist from hitting her in the mouth. I stood over her as she wiped the blood from her mouth.
"FOR YOUR FUCKING INFORMATION YOU STUPID BITCH, MY PARENTS WERE MURDERED BY 3 HOME INVADERS WHEN I WAS JUST 3 YEARS OLD!! I WITNESSED THEM SHOOTING MY DAD IN THE HEAD WHEN HE TRIED TO STOP THEM FROM HURTING MY MOM!! THOSE FUCKERS INVADED MY HOME AND RAPED MY MOTHER BEFORE SHOOTING HER IN THE HEAD 3 TIMES!! I WATCHED AS SHE BEGGED AND SCREAMED FOR MERCY BUT THEY DIDN'T!! SHE BEGGED FOR HER LIFE THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME THEY WERE HAVING THEIR WAY WITH HER!!'' I yelled as the tears flowed down my face. I back away realizing what I just said. I looked around at everyone and they were in shock and Val and Matt hung their heads. I turned and ran out of the yard and down the road. I stopped when I seen the beach. I walked down to the beach and sat in the sand bringing my knees up to my chest and laying my head down.

I looked down at Michelle with anger.
"This is the last time you will ever see me again! I want you out of my house by the time I get back or I will personally throw it out myself!" I yelled and she looked at me in disbelief. She rose to her feet.
"Get out of here! You are no longer welcomed in my house." Val said sternly. Michelle walked away holding her bloody mouth. I swear she acts like a total bitch to people that haven't done a fucking thing to her. Matt started to walk away from us when I grabbed his arm.
"I'll go find her." I said and he nodded. I ran out of the yard and down the road. I went down on the beach and there she was sitting in the sand with her knees pulled to her chest and her head laying on her knees. I walked up to her and sat down and she leaned into my shoulder. I wrapped a loving arm around her.
"I'm sorry about what Michelle said but you wont have to worry about her anymore." I said rubbing her shoulder.
"Whys that? I didn't break you two up did I?"
"No no. Her and I have been having problems for a while now. When she said those hurtful things to you, it really got my angry and I wasn't going to put up with that." I explained and she nodded. I held her close to me until her tears ceased and her breathing slowed. I looked at her and she was asleep. I picked her up as I stood up and carried her back to Matt's.
I walked inside the house and everyone was watching a movie. When they seen me they were silent. Val seen she was sleep and showed me where her bedroom is. Val moved all her things off the bed and I laid her down. I pulled off her shoes and socks and pulled the covers over her. I started to walk away when she grabbed my arm.
"Aren't you going to stay?" she asked and I look over to Val who nodded. I laid down in bed with her as Val closed the door. She smiled and curled her tiny body against mine and fell right back to sleep. I waited and made sure she was fully asleep before getting up and walking out.
I went across the hall to the empty guest room and laid down. I took off my shirt and pants along with my shoes and pulled the covers over me. I laid there thinking about what had happened today and I was so frustrated. Michelle had no right to say what she said to that sweet little girl. I was going to make it up to and help her get over those memories. I was beat from thinking and drifted off to sleep.

I held her close to me until her tears ceased and her breathing slowed. I looked at her and she was asleep. I picked her up as I stood up and carried her back to Matt's.
I walked inside the house and everyone was watching a movie. When they seen me they were silent. Val seen she was sleep and showed me where her bedroom is. Val moved all her things off the bed and I laid her down. I pulled off her shoes and socks and pulled the covers over her. I started to walk away when she grabbed my arm.
"Aren't you going to stay?" she asked and I look over to Val who nodded. I laid down in bed with her as Val closed the door. She smiled and curled her tiny body against mine and fell right back to sleep. I waited and made sure she was fully asleep before getting up and walking out.
I went across the hall to the empty guest room and laid down. I took off my shirt and pants along with my shoes and pulled the covers over me. I laid there thinking about what had happened today and I was so frustrated. Michelle had no right to say what she said to that sweet little girl. I was going to make it up to and help her get over those memories. I was beat from thinking and drifted off to sleep.
