All This Confusing Shit
"What's that?" I handed her the note and went over to the dresser where I yanked the fourth dresser drawer out and found the note taped on the bottom just like the letter said. I took off the note and unfolded it.
Since I guess you found the first note I left in my pants pocket, the next letter will be filled with better details in what I'm about to say. For years you've known I was working with the military but I couldn't tell you what I was doing. I was a scientist for the CDC when the outbreak started. The military called me in since I was the best they could actually find with the intellegance to not screw something up. Your next note can be found underneath a rock. A map is drawn to show you where it is.
Dad
"Another note?" I nodded and she looked at it over my shoulder.
"You stay here with the others. I'm going to follw this and find the next one." I said folding up the paper and sticking it into my pocket.
"I'm not letting you go out there by yourself! It could be dangerous."
"I don't have time to argue with you Felicity. Please just do as I say." I said as she followed me into my room. I grabbed some belts for the machine gun and wrapped them around my torso like I always did and unlocked the machine gun from its mount.
"This is not the time for you to be going out and getting into something! I can't lose you too." Felicity lowered her head as she spoke.
"Felicity, look at me." I said and she raised her head and my eyes shot into hers.
"Nothing is going to happen to me and you're deffinately not going to lose me. I'll just be going out there to get the note and them coming right back to the house." I said walking past her and out of my room. I walked passed everyone as I went to the front door. I looked back at Felicity as she stood at the bottom of the stairs giving me a worried look. I smiled at her reassuringly as she lef the house.

I watched she she left the house shutting the front door behind her. I ran my hands over my face in frustration as I sat down on the bottom step of the stairs. It's a good 7 miles out to where the rock is that was labeled on the map and it will be dark before she gets back.
"Where's Serenity going?" I looked up to see Uncle Lucas standing in front of me.
"You know what dad said to Serenity before he died?" I asked and he nodded as he sat down beside me.
"She made the suggestion on going through his things to see if there could be some kind of lead to the riddle he told her and she found this note in his pants pocket." I said handing him the note. He scanned over it and then looked at me.
"Did she find this letter?"
"Yeah and she wants me to stay here while she goes out there and gets it but I hate the idea so much I can't fucking stand it." I said sighing.
"Go get some weapons and I'll round up the Matt, Brian, and Zacky to go with me and you to the place." I nodded and walked over to the basement door and going down into the mass of weapons. I grabbed some rifles and made sure they were loaded along with a shot gun and UZI for myself. I took the weapons up to the living room where they were standing there ready to go. I handed out the weapons and were about to go out the door when Jacob stopped me.
"I can track her."
"We need people here to protect the house." I said as the others left the house.
"Mike, John, Jimmy, and Johnny are here and Sammy sure can use that pistol and double barreled shotgun like no other. They'll be just fine."
"Alright come on." I said and he grabbed his crossbow and a container full of homemade arrows before following me out the door and running to catch up with the others. I explained how Jacob could lead us to her and they let him take the lead with no arguement. We followed closely behind Jacob as he followed Serenity's trail.
The trail got fresher and fresher as we got closer to our destination. I looked up and seen Serenity pushing over a pretty big rock and grabbing the paper from the ground. We ran up to her and she raised her gun.
"I thought I told you not to come."
"I don't always do as I'm told." I said smirking.
"And I'm sure as hell not letting one of my neices be out here alone."
"So what did that note say?" I asked as she lowered her weapon and returned her focus on the note in hand.
"It says, 'When I was summonded by the military to try and find a cure for this, I just couldn't seen to get anyhting to work right. Nothing was going the way my calculations was predicting. More info can be found at the LifeGuard Stand on the beach. Follow the instructions carefully and you won't have any problems.
Dad' This is keeping my too curious to stop."
"Well we're going to have too. It will be nightfall by the time we get back to the house." Jacob said as he looked up at the sun. Serenity nodded and folded the paper up and slipped it into her pocket before we headed out back towards the house. I just want to figure all this confusing shit out and get some closure on what he's trying to tell.
