Thirty: The scars remind us that the past is real.
I sighed and got up out of bed, Zacky was still asleep, his face buried in the pillow loud snores emanating from the space. I rolled my eyes and reached over for the phone that was still ringing. I pressed the answer button and put the phone to my ear.
“Hello?” I asked. There was nothing other than the sound of someone breathing. I sighed “Hello? Look if you’re not gonna say anything I’m hanging up” There was more breathing and then a laugh that unnerved me, and then the line went dead. I kept by the phone by my ear for a few more seconds before I put it back in the holder.
“Who was that?” Zacky asked me.
“I dunno probably some creepy fan” I said, but I wasn’t so sure, with that picture I got the other day and the phone call, it was creepy as fuck.
“Hmm” He pushed himself up onto his elbows and moved closer to me so that his leg was draped over my waist; he moved and pressed his lips against my neck. “Want me to help you forget about it?” He asked his lips travelling down my throat. I sighed and dragged my nails down his back, he growled and moved nearer to me again, I could feel his boner pressing into my thigh. I giggled and pulled away from him. “What?”
“Someone’s horny”
“Hey I can’t help it, I get to wake up next to you ever morning” He grinned and ran his tongue along my neck; I shivered and pushed my hand down into his boxers. He grinned at me “I should probably return the favour” He said pushing my, well they were his but you get the idea, boxers down.
I’m so glad that Zacky and I lived alone together because if we were still living with our parents, dear God we would be grounded for a long time.

“It was really fucking creepy” I said to Val “Especially as I’d just woken up”
“I think that it was probably just some overly obsessed fan, but still keep it in mind” She said, I nodded. I’d chosen not to tell anyone about the letter I received in the mail the other day, yes it had freaked me out but I didn’t want to cause unnecessary fuss, the boys were already busy planning their new album although they hadn’t started work on it yet, so I didn’t want to distract them with stuff that wasn’t important.
“Yeah I will, I just wasn’t quite sure what to say to them” I laughed “It was like a dog breathing down the phone or something”
“Yeah sounds like a fan just trying to freak you out” She laughed and handed me a bowl with Salad in it, we were over at Matt’s this time for a barbeque, and I was helping Val in the kitchen with the ‘ladies food’ as Matt put it. To which he got a slap upside the head from Val. He was joking of course the guys just like to think that cooking shirtless on a barbeque makes them more manly.
I carried the stuff back out to the garden where there was quite a scene, although it wasn’t something that I was expecting to see here to be honest.
“… with her”
“Gena you broke up with me remember?”
“Yeah and that was a mistake but it doesn’t give you the right to jump straight into bed with
that whore”
“Kindly don’t refer to my girlfriend as a whore thank you very much” Great now he’s defending me, this can’t be good.
“Oh so she’s your girlfriend now and not just your fuck buddy?”
“She was never that”
“Bullshit Zack I always knew that there was something going on with you two, I saw the way
that you looked at her”
“Doesn’t mean that there was anything going on”
“Okay I think it’s time for an intervention” Brian said stepping between the two of them. Gena almost screamed in frustration before stalking into the house, her sister running after her. I sighed and sat down in the nearest chair which happened to be at the table. I rested my chin in my palm and Johnny sat down next to me.
“She hates me” I said
“No she doesn’t”
“I don’t blame her”
“She doesn’t hate you Riles”
“Did you not just hear her?”
“I did but she’s just mad because Zack’s been in love with you since like the sixth grade or something and I think she always knew”
“I didn’t”
“Yeah you were like the only one” He laughed “But seriously she doesn’t hate you she’s just made right now”
“I know, if I was her I’d be mad at me too”
“Well don’t be because we all knew that you two would end up together eventually, it just took a little longer than we’d hoped”
“Try thirteen years”
“Exactly, you’re rather slow in that respect” He grinned at me.
“Shut up Johnny”
