Thirteen: I'm drunk off your kiss, for another night in a row, this is becoming to routine for me.
Mason called me later that day, asking me if I wanted to go out on a proper date with him this time, he asked me if I wanted to go anywhere in particular, so I told him to surprise me. So he told me that he’d pick me up at eight and he also told me to wear a dress.
I was running around like a mad woman at five to trying to find my other silver stiletto. Zacky was just standing in the doorway of my room laughing at me.
“You’re not helping!” I whined as I searched under the bed.
“Looking for this one?” He asked me holding up the shoe. I glared at him and took the shoe from him.
“Thank you” I grinned and held onto his shoulder, putting the shoe on my foot.
“Have fun” He smiled, he still looked sad, and I felt a stab of guilt in my stomach, I felt bad that I was going on a date and he was stuck at home on a Saturday night with nothing to do.
“I’ve got no idea where we’re going but I’m hoping it’s somewhere that serves those little
potato things with the cheese in them”
“Hick”
“Oh shut up, I’ll bring you some back”
“Deal”
Just then the doorbell went and I ran through the apartment to get it, I was excited even though I felt bad, I liked Mason and I always liked surprises so I was really looking forward to this date.
“Hi Mason”
“Well hello gorgeous” He smiled kindly, leaning forward and kissing my lips softly. “Hi” He grinned again. I knew that Zacky was standing in the background behind me, probably with his arms folded and having that stony look on his face when he was serious about something. “I’ll have her home by one”
“Make it midnight”
“Jesus Zacky you’re not my Dad” I whined, but I grinned at him, I walked over and gave him a hug “I’ll be home by twelve thirty” I said before walking over to Mason and taking his outstretched hand. We took the stairs down to the lobby and went outside and got into his car.
“So where are we going?”
“Well seeing as it’s our first date, I figured we could either be overly cliché and go see a movie, but then I caught sight of the way you were dressed and realised I didn’t wanna take
you to a movie theatre where we’d just sit at the back and make out, I figured I’d take you somewhere better where people can see you, cos I wanna tell you that you look absolutely drop dead tonight”
“You really know how to make a girl feel pretty” I blushed crimson and kissed his cheek.
“It’s not hard when you look so beautiful” I shook my head and blushed even more, Jesus I felt like a fucking teenager again.
“So where are we going?”
“Just this little place I discovered a while back when I was wandering”
“Okay”
We made small talk for the rest of the journey until he pulled into this small Italian restaurant, it was one of those old buildings that reminded me of a cottage from a story book, the interior was all dark waxed wood and candle light, there was an open kitchen where I could see that it was evidently all family run, they were all dressed similarly in black, but the cutest thing was there was this little old Italian lady who was tottering around in the kitchen, ordering the others around in Italian, occasionally doing something to the sauces and bring the food out to people.
She came over to us and smiled.
“Mason” She said, her accent was still prominent, even though I’m pretty sure she had lived here for a long time “And such a beautiful young woman” She smiled and gently took my hand “Don’t worry dear, I save you our best table” She smiled and I grinned at Mason
“Come, come” She said motioning for us to follow her. She lead us up a small stair case
until we came to a small balcony that overlooked the city. “I will bring your menus” She nodded and tottered off.
“Seems like you come here a lot”
“She’s my sister in law’s grandma” He laughed “But yeah I do”

The date was everything that it should have been, Mason was sweet, the meal was amazing, proper Italian food, I had a few drinks and Mason wasn’t drinking so that he could drive me home.
“I will see you very soon” I said as he kissed my neck. I giggled as he hit the sensitive spot
behind my ear. “I’d invite you in but no doubt Zacky is waiting up to make sure I get home before one” I giggled.
“It’s okay, maybe after out next date” He kissed my jaw one more time before kissing my lips, pushing his tongue into my mouth” I laughed into his mouth
“We can’t do this here, Zacky will get mad again” I whispered
“Okay” He whispered back “I’ll call you tomorrow”
“I’ll pick up” I said as I unlocked the apartment door and went inside.
I shut the door and lent my hand on the door and pulled my shoes off. I sighed when I couldn’t get the other one off so I sat down on the floor with my back against the door and pulled the other one off.
“C’mere” Zacky said helping me get the other one off then helping me up from the floor.
“You’re not gonna yell at me tonight are you?”
“Nah, m’just tired now”
“Want me to take you to bed?”
“I need some water first” I said, the problem with me and alcohol was that I tended to get very fuzzy headed and I didn’t know what I was doing.
“Come on then” He said helping me up and helping me walk with my shoes in my hand for
the kitchen. He poured me a glass of water from the tap and held it up to me, I took it and took a sip, I could already feel the wine wearing off and I was getting drowsy.
“Yeah come on bedtime” He said helping me down.
“I like your bed better, it’s bigger”
“Yeah well it’s my bed, not yours” He laughed “This is your bed” He said helping me into my Jammies, he tucked me into bed and put the glass down on the bedside table. “Just get some sleep and I’ll see you in the morning”
“Can we do something tomorrow?”
“We’ll see” He said
“Mkay Zacky, goodniiiight” I sang, he chuckled
“Night babe” He said shutting the door behind him.
