Seventeen and Pregnant (Avenged Sevenfold)

Jimmy’s P.O.V.
“You ok baby?” I asked Deanna. We were driving to the mall to finish our Christmas shopping. She seemed to be out of it a lot and thinking a lot. I knew that she had a lot to think about because of her being pregnant and her trying to mend bonds with people, at least I think that’s what she was doing.
“Katie told me something that made me think,” She said and sighed. I grabbed her hand and pulled into the mall parking lot. She looked down to our hands that were interlacing and then looked at me and I saw confusion in her eyes, “It makes me wonder why she would do something like this for my brother,” She said lightly.
“What happened honey?” I asked her and she told me what happened, playing with the hem of her shirt. I was shocked at what happened and felt really bad for my brother. He was going to be heart broken when Katie tells him this. He lost his family, he was looking forward to seeing his son this Christmas. Katie ruined it, she made everything worse.
“I can’t believe she did that,” I said. Deanna got out of the car, I removed the keys from the ignition and locked the doors and came to Deanna’s side as she shoved her hands into her pockets and we walked inside the mall.
“I know and I don’t want to see my brother so hurt, including before Christmas.” She said. I grabbed her hand as we came into the mall and kissed her cheek.
“I know baby girl but, that’s Katie’s choice, not yours,” I said and she nodded still with a frown on her face. I hated my girlfriend being sad so, I came and swooped her off of her feet bridal style making her shriek and laugh with her arms tightening around my neck. I came and kissed her and smiled at her while she pushed up my glasses up my nose.
“Where to first princess?” I asked. She came and hugged me, nuzzling her face in my neck.
“Hot Topic?” She asked. I smiled and took her to Hot Topic.
We spent all day together shopping a lot. I went around and bought her some things as well making sure she didn’t see what I got her. Then we went to Babies R Us and looked around. She was looking at the little shoes for newborns and felt my heart. There was a one in five chance that I was the father and I really hope I was. I came behind Deanna and wrapped my arms around her and put my chin on her shoulder.
“I love you Deanna,” I whispered to her and softly kissed her neck making her giggle and lean back on me.
‘I love you too Jimmy, so much,” She smiled holding the little girl booties in her hands.
“Why don’t you buy them?” I asked her, letting my fingers touch them. It was amazing how something like this could touch your heart like this. Just thinking about me and my girlfriend being parents felt amazing. I felt my heart racing, soaring thinking about holding that little baby in my arms.
“Because we don’t know if I am going to have a boy or a girl,” She said, “I really want a girl though,” She pointed out. I smiled and kissed her cheek, putting my hands over hers.
“Then fallow your heart baby, God will see that and who knows, you may have that baby girl of your dreams,” I smiled at her. She looked down and though about it for a moment and decided that I was right, of course I was, I was the boyfriend. She purchased them and I saw my girl glowing. Her smile was radiating, she held them little shoes with boy hands against her tummy as if someone would take them from her.
We came and got back to her parents. I hid everything in a black garbage bag and went up to Deanna’s room and went into her closet to grab the wrapping paper and to her desk to get the scissors, tape and permanent marker. I always loved Christmas. It was really nice to get everyone together for the holiday and for us, we had five Christmas’ to go to, which meant lots of gifts but I already have what I have been wanting for my whole life.
I have my best friends, my girlfriend and a family that loves me and hopefully, a baby girl on the way and I couldn’t be happier.
Deanna’s P.O.V.
Before I could start to climb the stairs to my room, Johnny came to me from the living room looking worried.
“Can I talk to you sissy?” He asked me with the look of panic and disappointment on his face. I nodded, tucking my hair behind my ear.
“Yeah sure,” He nodded and we came and sat down in the living room. He looked out the window before he started to talk to me. He was worried about what Katie was doing at Matt’s, that he couldn’t trust her. He knew that there was something up and he didn’t know what it was. He knew that they had a thing but she told him that Matt was old news and that there was nothing that he should be worried about which made my stomach tighten. Katie put herself in a hole that she was never going to get herself out of. I was scared to see my brother hurt but I knew that he would be ok, give the time.
“I don’t know Johnny,” I said. It wasn’t the full truth but it wasn’t a lie either. This was his and Katie’s business, it was Katie’s business to tell him not me, “But I am always here for you big brother,” I smiled and hugged him tight. He thanked my but deep down, I just hoped Katie would do this soon and get it over with so I can help my brother heal.
