Well...Here We Go
Never been that fond of having to introduce my self , but i'll give it a try. My name is Sierra , 22 years old , singer and front woman of Devilish Grins , a band that started out only 4 years ago . Believe it or not ,we all come from Greece, not really a place where you expect to find a decent metal band . But again , that's the reason why we left in the first place.
We all grew up in Greece , but felt the need to leave at the age of 19 .We decided to go and test ourselves abroad .We grew up together, and always dreamed of achieving something big . And we did ! Away from everyone and everything back home .
We got to be a huge name at the underground scene ,and moved on to the mainstream side without really losing fans ! They supported us all the way to the top ! Now we are about to start touring , and we yet have to find out the band that we are going to join .
Jason , our guitar player and basically the 2ND leader of the group , just wishes that our management matches us with someone like Slayer , Megadeth , Anthrax or , even better , In Flames , Moonspell or Gorgoroth . Matt ,our drummer , and Nick , our bass player , are satisfied with any band they match us with , as long as there is beer , snacks and chicks backstage . And that leaves me , the only person that wishes we actually get to tour with bands like 3dg , Bullet for my valentine , or even better , my favorite band of almost all times: Avenged Sevenfold .
I ' ve been addicted to their sound since i was 16 and still am up to this day . I love everything about them , and yes their looks are included . Cant blame me though! They do look insanely sexy despite their age ! Their music is the one thing , though , that made me look at them . They all are incredibly good musicians , and no one can deny that . I even got a death bat tattoo on my rib case-along with many other symbols that mean things to me .
We were stuck in an office , waiting for our tour manager to come and announce us the band. As usual , Matt and Nick were messing with each others' hair , arguing over which beer is the best , Jason silently watched them, probably planning a way to kill them without leaving any trays behind , and I was sitting here , alone in my thoughts . I felt excited , but nervous as hell . No shit, the last tour was great , but right then I felt like something pretty special was about to happen .
My thoughts were interrupted by our frantic manager walking in and shouting.
''Guess which band you lucky bastards are touring with...''
Immediately we all stood up and walked towards him .
'' Megadeth .. Pleeease tell me that I'll get to meet Dave again ! Ooh God Please ...Or wait ! Maybe Slayer .. YEESS Slayer.. We haven't met those guys just yet !!! Please , please , that would be awesome !!! Or Maybe, now that i think about it... '' , Jason started rambling and the rest of us just stood there and watched him go on and on ... and on about his dream line up, until i had enough.
'' And Rotting Christ , our boys from home , or Firewind ... We haven't talked to Gus for a long time ...'' Jason kept going.
'' SHUT UP '' I literally screamed at him, '' I want to know the actual band god dam nit !Not your band fantasy... Jeeez ...We haven't let the poor man speak a word since he came here ...''.
Thankfully Jason stopped.And it was our tour manager's turn to actually announce us the band.
' 'Well Jason , firstly , good morning to you too ...'', he said with a smirk.
All 3 of us started chuckling,whereas Jason just rolled his eyes,muttering a faint sound that probably meant '' Juuust say the f**ing name already '' .
'' And since I see you all anxious and excited , I say I cut the second part of it . '' , our manager said with a smirk . He and Jason never actually got along smoothly . To be precise , almost no one got along with Jason all the time , apart from some very close friends. And luckily I was one of them .
' 'So NO , NO Slayer , NO Megadeth , NO Metallica , NO Anthrax , NOOOT any of the bands you just mentioned will , in fact , be touring with you guys... ''. Jason now looked like he wanted to grab our manager , tie him to a chair and throw him out of the window . Instead , he glared at him , and said:
'' OOh so we'll be fortunate enough to tour with who ? Lady Gaga ? F***ng Britney ? Or Rihanna ? HUH ? I mean they got new albums out ,the deal would be sweet as f**k ! Maybe cover one of their songs as well ... I say we do a smooth cover of Alejandro...or Paparazzi ,or- ''
'' For someone who hates pop music that badly , you seem pretty f***ing well informed about their singles ,Jason '' , I joked , '' Now will you shut the fuck up and let him announce the name of the band we get to tour with?!?! ''
Jason nodded,and we all turned our faces to our manager.
'' Well ... Now its time . Boys , and girl , You get to tour for 11 months with ......''
And the words that came out of his mouth actually made my world stop . And a huge smile made its way on my face..
