Chapter Fourteen

As soon as Karla said go, Matt's hand hit the table. His surprised face had Alex and Karla on the floor laughing. "I wasn't ready," Matt said, holding his hand out, "Again."

"Okay," I grabbed his hand and waited for someone to say go. I smiled, after his hand hit the table once more.

"You need to try," I mocked as his hand slammed down once more.

This continued for a few more times, before he started using both hands, which slowed his hands descent a little, but I still came out on top.

After Matt finally gave up, Brian took his place, making me roll my eyes. It only took about five minutes to go through the guys, but it needed to be done so that they were convinced.

"Do you understand now?" I asked, after Johnnys hand hit the table for the final time.

"How can you be that strong?" Johnny asked in wonder.

I shrugged, "Some type of mutated gene. You'd probably have a better time arm wrestling with Hazel,"

"Speaking of Hazel, where is she?" Jimmy asked, looking around.

"Still at daycare," I looked in the direction of the daycare center. "I have a feeling she's safer there then we are here,"

"Should we go to a park?" Karla asked, changing the subject.

"We should totally go to a park," I smiled. "Matt want to drive?"

"Uh, sure," Matt started uncertainly.

"It'll be fun," I bounced on my toes until Karla forced me to stop, by dragging me to the door. "Oh, you should bring anything you deem valuable with!" I called over my shoulder.

***Matt's POV***

"We should totally go to a park," Ann replied to Karla, smiling. "Matt you want to drive?"

"Uh, sure," I replied, confused, not understanding why we were going to leave the house.

"It'll be fun," Ann whined, bouncing on her toes until Karla drug her to the front door, forcing her to stop. "Oh, you should bring anything you deem valuable with!" Ann shouted over her shoulder, before she was completely outside.

Then I realized what was going on. The Erasers, as Ann had called the wolf things, would be coming here since she wasn't at work. "Let's go," I called to the guys as we grabbed our phones, then ran to the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked Ann as I started the car.

"Cadiz Park," she answered. "I'll give you directions,"

I nodded and started to drive. It took about fifteen minutes to get to the park. The girls got out and instantly went to the play equipment. The guys getting out a few seconds later and started to look around.

The park was surrounded by trees which enclosed two lakes. The play equipment that was there was all the old metal equipment that was being removed from parks for being too dangerous, because they were metal. The water fountains were old looking too. They were large fountains, that you had to pump to get the water.

"Don't drink the water!" I heard Ann shout at Zacky as he got water to come out of one of the pumps.

"Why not?" Zacky whined.

"Tastes like rust." Karla explained as the girls walked towards him.

"But I'm thirsty," Zacky complained. Ann rolled her eyes then gave Zacky a water bottle.

We stayed at the park until Lorie called Ann's phone around five. "Fine, we're coming home," Ann snapped into the phone, her previous good mood, completely vaporized by the phone call. She looked at all of us then shrugged, "Let's go back,"

We arrived back at the house to see it had been completely ransacked. "Hang on," Ann muttered, stopping all of us from leaving the car. She concentrated on the house for a few seconds before telling us the house was clear.

***Ann's POV***

We arrived at the house to see it was worse off then we had left it. "Hang on," i stopped the guys, as they reached for the door handles. I searched the house, using my telepathy powers, to see if any one was left. Thankfully the only brain waves I picked up on was my sister, mom, and Hazel.

"Okay," I said, finally allowing everyone to get out of the car.

"What was that about?" Matt asked, walking up to me.

"I was checking the house," I explained, pointing to my head.

"So...you can read minds?" Matt asked slowly, trying to wrap his head around the information.

I laughed a little," Well, when you say it like that, it sounds like a bad thing,"

"Well, is it?" Matt asked, as we walked into the house.

"It has it's good and bad days," I replied, as i looked to see mom in the kitchen holding Hazel who was beating her wings frantically, whining to be let go.

"Mom, let her go," I called, I instantly felt like something was off, when she wasn't listening to me right away. "Mom, let Hazel go," I said a little louder, as I walked towards her.

My mom still wasn't listening to me. "Mom, what's wrong?" Hazel started to point towards Matt making me look that way too.

Right behind Matt was a gigantic python. How the fuck did I miss that? I wondered frantically. "Matt move!" I screamed, as everyone froze.

Notes

So this chapter moved along a little faster, mainly because I didn't think you wanted to read about Ann, Karla, and Alex racing among trees, sliding down metal slides, and spinning on merry go rounds until they flew off. If you do, let me know, I'll write it and add it into this chapter which would make this a little longer.
