From the Dream of a Dream of Love
Chapter One
All Zacky wanted was to be loved, loved with the same intensity that he gave the other person. He thought, that maybe, he could find all the love in the world with one of the least likeliest candidates...Synyster Gates.
Brian being a vampire had never come up in conversation before. It was something the band accepted long ago. It was something that none of them really questioned; he was who he was, he had an amazing personality, never tried to sink his fangs into them... well, okay there was that one time in Cancun... Brian was different from most vampires, being able to go out in sunlight and whatnot.
The guys, honestly, just didn't notice it. Well, the other guys didn't, but Zacky most certainly did notice Brian's vampirism. The truth be told, when Zacky started to find himself falling in love with Syn; the number one question that plagued the rhythm guitarist was... what it would be like to kiss a man with fangs. What it would be like to kiss a man at all...Zacky was a virgin when it came to men, Syn being the first one he'd ever found remotely attractive.
Brian most certainly couldn't deny the attraction to Zack. Vampires didn't exactly see gender, but to Brian, Zack wasn't the most manly man in the world either. He was feminine, beautiful in a way and though Brian acted as if he returned the affection toward Zacky...it really wasn't love, Brian was just desperate. After a century of being a vampire, a vampire with no mate; well, he was rather lonely. Lonely to share his eternal life with someone else...and he definitely wasn't going to start having second doubts about sharing it with another man, especially a man like Zack.
Zack was perfect in Brian's eyes. Soul or no soul, Brian did have feelings for Zack and at first, that was enough for Zack. Brian did show him a special sort of affection, an affection that was definitely giving the rhythm guitarist everything he'd ever dreamed of and perhaps at the very moment, more. But it wasn't satisfying Brian... and the only thing that would, would be an eternal mate.
Zack had known Brian and had been in this band with him for more than half of his life now... when Brian asked the question of immortality, and of course since Zack was so enamored with the life of a vampire, the life he truly knew hardly anything about... the answer was immediately yes and Brian, being the desperate person he was at that very moment... he didn't ask Zacky to think it through more thoroughly; he jumped on impulse.
Thus, our story begins.
