Second Chances
“Ruby! We’re going to be late!” I yelled up to my slow poke friend. I looked down at the time of my phone and saw that it was nearly time for the music video to start. We were going to be in the music video with Avenged Sevenfold! It was exciting and really nerve racking. Ruby finally came down stairs in her red and black best and smiled at me. She was just as excited as I was to meet them. For once in her life, and in mine, we were happy.
“Ready,” She said a bit nervously. I smiled at her and slipped on my shoes and we got into my car. I could only thank her for actually finding this. She always paid attention to these kind of things, I never did. She found it and called me and she nearly had a heart attack telling me about it. We were going to be in Beast and the Harlot in the crowd dressed in all black. We were going to have black paint all over us as well and going to be very close to Avenged Sevenfold.
I was nervous about meeting Synyster Gates though, he was amazing and beautiful. The way his tattoos snaked up his arms, his smile when it was spread on his lips. His voice when he sang or talked was more soothing then warm milk.
“Excited?” Ruby asked me as she drove. I looked over to my best friend, her arms showed her colorful work of art that she had tattooed on her, her short black hair and long red bangs, the never ending smile on her face. I loved seeing that smile on her face, she needed it. She never had one but now, since she was going to see her hero, she had it and it made me happy to see it as well.
“Yes,” I smiled, “I can’t wait to meet that hottie,” I chuckled.
“I’m going to have Jimmy sign my sticks,” She said gently. I saw the light pink on her cheeks. I chuckled and grabbed her hand.
“It’s going to be alright sissy, you’ll see,” I smiled to her. I just hoped everything was going to go alright. Just thinking about it was sending my heart racing and my mind going over and over again about him and seeing him. What if I choked? What if he doesn’t care for me? That he thought I was a joke or something? I sighed, turning up the music just so that it wouldn’t bring me down and that I would have some hope left inside of me.
