Watch You Crawl
Chapter 17
But you left this feeling here inside me
The battle in my mind still fights me
Brian’s POV
I watched as her chest slowly moved up and down and breathing slowly. I knew she was asleep. I knew I shouldn’t but I couldn’t help myself. I moved closer to her, placing a light kiss on her forehead. She stirred a little and I moved back. She was beautiful. I couldn’t deny that.
The first time I saw her, she didn’t see me. I walked in “Alec’s” and she was standing at the counter talking to another waitress. I sat down, my gaze never leaving her. There was something so kind about her, not something you see a lot in my world. A virgin no doubt, I could tell as there seemed to be an air of innocence around her. She smelled pure and sweet. I had to find out who she was.
“See ya Cat!" the waitress coming toward me hollered behind her.
"Hey, what can I do for you?” she waitress asked.
I looked at her name tag which readBecky and smiled.
“Water and steak rare please.” I answered.
She went off and gave my order and when I looked up she was gone. I stood up and placed a twenty on the table and left. I watched from a far in the safety of the dark side of the street as she walked out of the back of the restaurant. I followed her to her apartment. I knew where she lived, so now I would wait.
I watched as her windows went black and wait about 30 minutes hoping she would be asleep. I made my way up the fire escape on the back of the building.
I found an open window and climbed in her dark room. She laid there cuddled into a ball under the covers. Her chest moved slowly. I squatted down by her bed and just looked at her face. She was a beauty. She had such a soft look about her with her soft, creamy skin and her petite features. I was sure I wanted to make her mine as soon as I laid eyes on her but now that I was up close to this beauty I knew I had to.
It had been about two hours and I just watched her sleep. She began to mumbled incoherent sentences and I smiled. I had been kind of an asshole to her. I couldn’t help it. It was in my nature to be kind of an asshole. So was claiming her. I know it freaked her out but that’s what us vampires do. We want someone for ourselves, we mark them. I didn’t mean to make her feel like she was some sort of object. But that was just me. I couldn’t do anything right. I had forced myself on her a little, but I guess that really wasn’t true because she didn’t fight. I knew she wanted me but I would try my hardest not to force it on her anymore. I guess it was just my vampire nature. The nature to take what you want and not give a damn. But she was doing something to me. She was slowly melting my cold heart that hadn't felt a thing in almost 80 years.
