Zacky's POV*
As soon as Vanessa hung up, I immediately started getting ready in hopes to hang out with her a bit before we meet up with everyone else. I've always loved spending time with her. She's smart, funny, and not to mention gorgeous. She's always been pretty to me but now she's a woman so she deserves a more proper adjective. Plus, she has tattoos now too?! They just add onto the "Why the fuck didn't you date her Vengeance?" category.
Back when we were still in high school I started teach Vanessa how to play guitar cause whenever we had practices at Matt's I'd always catch her messing around with my guitar. Not Gates, just mine. She was so adorable back then too. Teaching her was the best part of practices cause she give me a little pouty face when she messed up. The cutest shit I've ever seen. I always had a soft spot for her, but I refused to date her cause, well, to be honest I didn't think being a rock star and having a girlfriend was cool. So, I just pushed aside my feelings and became who I am today.
I was already finished getting dressed when Nessa called, I just needed to do my hair cause I left it kinda bed headish this morning for the interview. So i combed my hair up, I've been doing that more so lately since we shot the music video to "Afterlife." I hate watching the video now. I mean I love all of our work, but Gena was in the video with me. Gena and I broke it off a few months ago cause she wanted to "focus on her career." What ever the fuck that means. I was going to marry her, but it appears that was more important to her.
I locked up my studio apartment and headed over to pick up Vanessa. A part of me felt nervous. But thats what she did to me. It didn't take me long at all to get to her apartment so I went up and knocked on her door. When she answered I had a sudden loss for words.
Vanessa's POV*
"Earth to Zack! You there?" I waved my hand in front of his face. He was just standing there looking at me with a complete blank look on his face. It was kind of cute.
" Sorry. Just wow! You look fucking sexy Nessa! You came along way from band t-shirts!" he finally managed to say.
" Aww, you look handsome as well Mr. Baker." I blushed.
I locked my door and he escorted me to his car. Fuck! He looked so sexy. His hair was combed up. He had a button up shirt on and you could see all his sexy tattoos on his arms. Which, by the way were very muscular. He opened the door for me and I slid into the passenger seat as he walked around to his door.
" So where we going tonight?" I asked him hoping I didn't over dress or anything.
" Matt said we were going to just get dinner at the Olive Garden ." Zack said.
When we got to Olive Garden everyone was already there waiting for us. We followed the hostess to the booth where the guys were at. The first person to notice me was Jimmy.
"Va-Va-Vanessa?!" Jimmy screamed as he picked me up a squeezed me with a bone crushing hug. " Look at you all grown up! So gorgeous isn't she Zacky?!" He winked at Zack.
" Yeah, gorgeous or not I can still kick your ass in an eating contest Ja-Ja-Jimmy!" I retorted. I was forever and always going to be Va-Va-Vanessa to Jimmy. He could never remember my name at first when I met him so I'd have to hint by saying "Va." It finally stuck but he continued on with the nickname anyways. He was like my big brother always teasing the shit out of me. "Jimmy, is that a duck tie?!" I asked him as I noticed his tie.
" Why yes, yes it is." He smiles proudly and went to sit down. Next to get up was Brian and the girl he had his arm around. He gave me a huge ass hug and introduced me to his Fiancee Michelle. Michelle and Valary are twins. Kind of freaky. " You remember Johnny right?" Brian said to me. Johnny was the newest member of the gang, besides the girls. "Oh yeah, I had geometry with Johnny!" I responded to Brian as I shook Johnny's hand. Finally, Matt and Valary got up to greet me.
" Geez, I didn't realize I had such a pretty girl working for me!" Valerie exclaimed.
" Thanks Valary." I smiled.
" Call me Val." She smiled back to me.
Zack and I took our seats next to Val and Matt. I was looking at the menu and wanted some garlic bread as an appetizer.
" Brian, remember when we all went to Zack's to eat dinner when his mom cooked lasagna? I beat you so bad in our garlic bread eating contest!" I started laughing thinking back to the day.
" Hey! You only won that cause I ate too much lasagna. I doubt you could do it again." He chuckled.
" I don't know how you guys did it but after that contest there was a huge mess in my moms kitchen." Zack chimed in.
We sat there for a good while just laughing and talking about the glory days. Then the guys started telling me about how they've been touring. living their dreams. The twins were saying we should have a girl day soon. All in all, the night was a success but you could tell everyone was getting tired. So we parted ways and Zack drove me home.
" So Nessa, tomorrow if you aren't busy or anything I would love to get together and see how far you've come at playing." Zack said as we pulled up to my apartments.
" Only on one condition..." I smiled. "Help me unpack?" And gave him the hugest smile I could.
"It's a date. I'll call you in the morning to see what time you want me over . Goodnight, Nessa." He said.
" Goodnight Zacky." Everyone else calls him it so I might as well. I walked up to my door and watched him drive off. I couldn't help but be excited to jam out with him. Wait, did he just say date?
