"Hey G, um, I need to talk to about something. This is going to make you mad possibly..."
Vanessa's POV*
I woke up early to make Zacky some breakfast before he left back to the airport. Matt was going to be picking him up at 9:30am. Since it was only 7, I figured I had enough time to make him something good. So I searched the cabinets looking for something to make. I knew Zacky had always loved my pancakes, even back then. So I decided to make him pancakes, eggs and some sausage. That sounded like a good breakfast. I was in the middle of flipping the pancakes when I heard a phone vibrating on the counter. I went to go check it. It was Zacky's phone. I guess he got a text. On the screen it said "New Message From Gena."
I figured it was nothing, she was probably just bugging him like usual. So I didn't take anything into consideration. I started laughing to myself thinking back to when I had first seen her at Michelle's house. It was too funny the way she stared me down. Then again, I'm grateful she acted the way she did that night. It helped me and Zacky start our relationship with each other.
I heard Zack get up and start yawning.
"I smell food!" he yelled from the bedroom.
"Hurry and get ready babe! Your food is waiting for you." I laughed and began filling his plate with the food I made.
When he came out he was all smiles. I could get used to this. Waking up and making breakfast for the most gorgeous guy ever. He walked up to me and kissed me on the cheek and then took his plate to eat at the table.
"Oh babe, your phone was going off. You left it on the counter last night." I told him.
"Ahh thanks babe. I must have left it after I called Matt." he smiled but turned away quickly to continue devouring his food.
"Good?"
"Very baby, Thank you!" he smiled still chewing his pancakes.
I sat there with him at the table. I wasn't very hungry but I made myself a cup of coffee to wake me up for the day. I was just watching Zacky eat. He was going through it like he hadn't eaten in days. Maybe it was anxiety eating. I know I get the same way when I feel anxious. He would catch me looking at him, and when he did he would wipe his face, smile and then continue eating. Just like a kid would do.
I hated the fact that he was leaving again. Good thing I get to go see him soon. He finished breakfast and went to start packing up his bag he brought when he came. I helped him out with everything. Well, I had to fold all of his clothes. It looked like he just threw everything in it. I'm not even sure if half of these clothes were clean or not. I'm going to have to do his laundry while he's away and bring him some clean ones when I go see him play.
Time went by way too fast. Before I knew it, Matt was here waiting for Zacky.
"Now babe, even though I doubt that Jason guy would show his face around here again... I would feel better if you would go stay with Val till we got back. I just want to make sure you're okay." he smiled at me but I could see the worry in his eyes.
"Don't worry babe. I'll go stay with Val but only cause I need to work." I let him know.
"Okay babe I need to go. Stay safe and I will see you soon!" Zacky said as he came to kiss me goodbye and leave with Matt.
I waved to them both as they drove away. As I walked into the apartment I began to think about that text from Gena. A part of me feels as if I should've read it.
Zacky's POV*
Matt was driving pretty quickly to the airport. Probably because I told him I needed to go talk to Gena. Of course he would drive fast cause I was coming clean with my shit. Speaking of Gena, its a good thing Nessa didn't read the message from her.
So we're still on for the cafe? - G
Leave it to Gena to almost ruin things. I was going to tell Nessa about my meeting with Gena but I have to wait first. My phone started vibrating.

She's too cute. And the breakfast she made me? Oh wow. That girl is wife material. Hoping I still even get to make her my wife someday.

I went up to the cafe and found Gena already waiting for me. That girl was the last face I wanted to see right now but I needed to see her. When she saw me she gave me a huge smile. Almost like the ones she used to give me when we were together. She walked up to me and gave me a hug too. Something didn't seem right about that but I remember Matt telling me she wanted to apologize so I guess she's just playing nice.
