Chapter 4: Dwelling on the Drastic Side
Erin's P.O.V
He was holding me tightly. Not but two hours ago he disappeared on me; he was giving me whiplash. He let go and looked me over making sure that I was okay.
"So guys let's get to the matter at hand" Val said walking over to Zack and pulling him over to the couch so he would sit down and stay calm. She smiled at me and I sat down trying to figure out how all of this was going to play out. I was fidgeting trying to keep my cool because I knew that Val was going to make me tell them right now about Jake.
"Now; I got everyone over here because we have a huge problem. Erin please tell them what you told me and this time start from the beginning and work your way up to now" Val said grabbing some more wine for the two of us.
"Don't make me drag everyone into this mess Val. I don't need anyone getting hurt; all I wanted was a fresh start to get away from everything in my past" I said rubbing my eyes trying to forget all the bad memories.
"Look where that has gotten you though Erin; he found you and at some point he will come and whether you like it or not we are your only hope. Now tell them god damnit!" She said getting a little worked up but Matt put his hands on her shoulders and she calmed down. Matt smiled at me while holding her.
"How can you help me though? Jake is strong...he isn't going to give up on getting me. He will win" I said looking at all the guys around the room. Zack was sitting there staring at me and I just took a huge drink of wine to try and calm my mind. How was I going to tell them about Jake and my life; would they even understand? Telling Val is one thing but telling them all and facing what lies a step behind me? I don't know if I can do this.
"Erin there is something that you should know about us" Matt said trying to find the right words. I just sat there waiting; would it be bad? Are they demons too? I feared what they were going to tell me.
"Don't be frightened Erin; I promise that we won't hurt you or let Jake anywhere near you" Brian said noticing my expression. I sighed and just shook my head. I noticed that this whole time Arin was just staring at me; he would squint his eyes from time to time. I sat there trying to disregard it. As I was shuffling around in my mind I went back to when I found out that Jake was a demon.
*"You are so fucking beautiful" Jake said kissing up my neck and nibbling on my earlobe. I moaned and kissed him and for a brief moment I broke from the kiss to pull my jacket off and his eyes were pure black. I shot to the back of the bed trying to figure out what the fuck I just saw. He came towards me moving the hair out of my face with his long claw like finger nails.
"Don't be afraid; now you see the power that I hold. You know my secret Erin; and if you say one word I will make you pay" He said whispering into my ear while digging a nail into my shoulder and pulling down on it. I screamed out of pure agony.*
"HOLY SHIT!" Arin yelled loudly breaking from his gaze. Everyone sat there startled just like me. Arin jumped out of his seat and came over to and pulled up the sleeve of my t-shirt. I tried to stop him.
"No Arin don't" I said pushing his hand. Johnny came over and put his hand on the top of my chest and pushed me into the chair and closed his eyes and I calmed a little. Arin pulled up the sleeve and gasped; Johnny let go and Arin ran his finger across the semi-red scar on my shoulder. I looked at him tearing up a little.
"How did you know to look there?" I asked trying to figure out what the hell they were.
"I saw it; you were just thinking about it and so I took a look for myself" He said. I stood up really fast and started walking towards the stairs.
"How dare you! You guys think that you can just invade my mind! No; this is my fucking life; I didn't want it to be like this! I was going to tell you; you didn't have to just go against me and look at my thoughts" I said freaking out a little. I felt a shock in my hand as I rubbed my fingers together but then disregarded it.
"Erin please calm down and come tell us this so that we can get this figured out" Zack said glaring at me. I sat there holding my ground because I don't need Arin invading my fucking privacy again. Zack continued to hold his gaze on me.
"Sit down Erin" He said pointing over to the chair. I had no intention of it when suddenly my body just moved. I walked all the way over to the chair without actually controlling what I was doing. I felt myself drop to the chair and I felt a little weak but then within a minute I was back to normal.
"What the hell are you guys?" I asked almost whispering.
"Will you please just tell us what the hell is going on with Jake?" Arin asked making me shoot an evil glare at him.
"You tell me what you are first and then I will gladly explain to you what happened with Jake and what he is" I said sternly making them realize that they shouldn't be hiding this stuff from me. They all sat there not wanting to give up the information but Matt sighed and came over standing in front of me.
"For the most part we are angels; it's really complicated Erin. We each have our own powers or gifts as we call them. You just witnessed a little bit of them actually; I am connected to Val emotionally and mentally and I am the strongest; also I have enhanced intuition or a sixth sense and sometimes if necessary I can read peoples minds." Matt said and looked around the room.
"I can read thoughts and see them Erin; all of us are really strong but it's different levels for all of us. Matt leads us along with Val of course" Arin said sweetly. I looked over at Val and she smiled softly at me.
"Erin I can sense that you are freaked out about this but really don't worry" Matt said trying to get me to calm down because I was gripping the chair tightly.
"Well since we are sharing what it is that we are able to do I can control the way that you feel and I can also make you see whatever I would want you to see" Johnny said squatting down in front of me. I put my hand out but there was nothing. I looked over and Johnny was still sitting on the couch.
"That was weird" I said trying to wrap my mind around this. I looked at Brian and Zack and they were staring at each other.
"Guys you have to tell her; don't be afraid" Matt said.
"That is easy for you to say Matt; Zack and I are the complicated ones of the group and yes I realize that I created part of him but I just don't know how to say it" Brian said all in one breath. I looked over at Zack and smiled a little to see if I could get a response out of him. He just looked back at Syn.
"Oh for fuck sakes Syn let's just tell her and get it over with so she knows" Zack said and then tapped Brian on the side of his arm.
"Alright fine but you asked for it Erin; I am different from the rest of the guys. I differ from them because my father is a demon; I was accepted in with the guys when I joined the band and officially became an angel after the first year of writing music but it couldn't cover up the fact that I am a vampire as well. So I am vampire, angel, super strong and I am a shifter." He said and I felt comfortable except for the fact that he was a vampire. Zack came over and kneeled in front of me after Syn sat back down. He held my hand tightly.
"Well first off I am an angel and I am one of the strongest besides Matt. I have the power to resurrect under certain circumstances and hold the right to posses people or manipulate the things that they do just like when I made you sit down" He said and then paused and looked over at Brian once again. Brian nodded at him and then he looked into my eyes again.
"I am a vampire like Syn; he turned me a long time ago back when the band first started and he couldn't control the things that he was doing. It took us a while to get back to a good place with each other but now we let the angel side rule over us the most. I swear that we can protect you Erin; but I have a question for you" Zack said. I just sat there because I was in shock and because I knew that Zack was going to ask me anyways.
"Why is Jake so obsessed with you?" He asked and once again I flashed back to when I was with Jake.
*"Why didn't you tell me that you had a gift Erin; what are you?" Jake asked me playing with my hair while I lied in bed half naked. I had no idea what he was talking about or what he meant by gift but whatever it was he wanted it.
"What are you talking about? I don't have a gift; I am human. I am normal and there is nothing about me that you need to know" I said softly trying to stay calm around him and not make him angry.
"You mean you don't even have any clue what is inside of you?" He said and I sat up and wrapped my arms around my legs. I ran his nails gently up my back and to the back of my hair.
"You are definitely special Erin; you may not know it yet but I can use you"*
And just like that I snapped back trying to breathe.
"He wants whatever is inside of her" Arin said.
"Will you please stay out of my head?" I asked Arin. Zack stood up and looked at Matt with a very deep expression. I couldn't tell what they were doing but after a moment my house phone started ringing. I jumped at the sound of it. I went over and grabbed the phone and slowly brought it to my ear.
"You just had to dig farther into this Erin; you are choosing the wrong side. You should have stayed... I will get what I want Erin" Jake said and I could tell that he was angry.
"What is it that you want?" I asked almost afraid to hear it.
"All in good time my dear...send my regards to the angel scum" Jake said smug and bitter and then hung up.
"Erin?" Matt said trying to snap me back into reality.
The phone slowly dropped to my feet making a loud bang on the hardwood floor. I knew that there was going to be a war... it just so happens that it was all about me...

Okay so here is what the guys are:Matt: Angel (Leader of the group), connected to Val. Gifts: Resurrection (only if permitted), enhanced intuition (sixth sense), can sometimes read peoples minds.
Arin: Angel Gifts: Strong and can read and see peoples thoughts
Johnny: Angel Gifts: Mood Control, can created illusions and control what people see and is also strong
Brian: Became an Angel after joining the band. Father is a demon and a vampire so Syn takes after him. HE IS A GOOD GUY. He is a shifter and is very strong.
Zack: Angel, is also a vampire because of Syn and lack of control when he first joined the band. Gifts: Resurrection (if permitted), possession and can manipulate life forces.
Val: Angel and can control minds
Jake: Demon (We will still be digging further into him in the next couple chapters)
OK so! I know that it is a lot to take in but I promise that there will be a lot more to it than that!
Like I said...Choices will need to be made.

This story will be long but it will get intense so please just keep reading and give it a chance.
We will also get into what role the other woman will play in the story and I will introduce more characters.
